When at a 30-amp campsite, I manually adjust it to 24 amps (30a * 0.8) because I am using a TT-30 to NEMA 14-50 adaptor cable and the mobile connector thinks it's on a 50 amp circuit. It's not the exact same one I have, but it's the same type and price. ~$30
NOTE: That adaptor is NOT for RV use. The two hots (left and right blades) are connected to each other so you only get 30 amps at 120v max.
It is not the aftermarket TT-30 adaptor you can get for the mobile connector. ~$92. Tesla does not make this particular adaptor and I didn't want to spend the extra cash on it since it doesn't go any faster than the above mentioned cable.

Definitely recommended.
Campgrounds with multiple outlets aren't generally designed for them to be used simultaneously.
I've used this adapter with success.
I've been super pleased with this setup as it lets me carry 5 passengers, takes 2 minutes to set up, and can sleep one or two. I keep two fitted sheets in my car, a twin for the single mattress pad and a queen for the two put together.
This is the mattress pad. I bought two and cut the passenger side to fit. Couldn't be happier! There have been many occasions where staying at a friend's place where I brought in my mattress because it's more comfortable than a couch.
I just ordered this one from Amazon after seeing positive reviews posted here and elsewhere. Similar setup with the 14-50 connection to the mobile charger but wondering if the wire in between puts less strain on the outlet and works better if it has a cover hanging down on it as many campsites do. Will see how it works as the weather warms up and we get back to camping.
I use two of these, cut to fit the car a little more exact. Super happy with it https://www.amazon.com/Olee-Sleep-Tri-Folding-Memory-Topper/dp/B0742B6F1H?pd_rd_w=4qYJO&pf_rd_p=85da05e5-c593-4314-b5c1-e397081af052&pf_rd_r=ZYS90R4B1SR894JV0BWM&pd_rd_r=7588671e-d412-4b39-aa4b-5b54df6154cb&pd_rd_wg=jLCvs&pd_rd...
The Milliard Tri Folding Memory Foam Mattress works well in the Model Y. I've been using it with a memory foam topper.
I use this from Amazon with the 14-50 plug for the mobile charger. Already done this at two separate campsites with no issues. It comes with a sticker to remind you to set the charge to 24A.
Which tent is this? Did you like the experience? It looks quite spacious!
I was considering this one with a canopy over it and my car, so I can set up a popup chair and portable grill.
We went with the same brand but different model. We stayed on mostly dirt and the car would have been a mess without the tent. The size was great. See the Backroadz Tent
