Not quite. As I said, I've paid the penalty for not having insurance (when I wasn't even in the country for the time period that I was without insurance that year).
Jailed?

>What happens if I don't pay the fee?
The IRS will hold back the amount of the fee from any future tax refunds. There are no liens, levies, or criminal penalties for failing to pay the fee.
This honestly shows you don't have a full understanding of what you are discussing. If you want to put your money in the bank and pay cash as needed, do so. The penalty would be less than your total premiums.
Uh... no. The exemption is for not being able to afford the insurance, even with the government subsidies. I have hospital bills from 2015 I'm still paying for because I didn't have insurance.
The cheapest insurance for me is about 15% of my income. You can get an exemption at 8.13%, which is fine and dandy and all, but I no longer can afford healthcare due to Obamacare when I had it prior to his stupid act. They're basically expecting me to pick up the slack of people slightly poorer than me.
Original concept was in the game Pandemic, and continued in Pandemic II. Classic game. I'm sure Plague Inc is a fine duplicate, but in case you wanted a similar game here's the original (I don't think any games preceded it with this exact concept).
