You can buy a 1982 reproduction of The Art of Rosaleen Norton on Amazon, starting at $375.00 US. Not sure if it is bound in bat skin though. https://www.amazon.com/Art-Rosaleen-Norton-Poems-Greenlees/dp/0959307702
Hello, I'm a bot! The movie you linked is called Master and Commander: The Far Side of the World, here are some Trailers
The title says the American Bison is the new US national mammal. The Buffalo parts are a quote from a US general during westward expansion.
There's a decent chunk on this and that quote in Crazy Horse and Custer : The Parallel Lives of Two American Warriors, a Stephen E Ambrose book. He's the guy who did the Band of Brothers book the show used as source material. He's also got a really good one on Lewis and Clark called Undaunted Courage.
This book talks about this elephant, Topsey, and other circus elephants that endured the circus. Super interesting.
You can still buy Uranium Ore on Amazon if you wanted to play with it for some reason.
> 3 kilos of nutmeg would cost in 2019 USD.
I just did it for CAD based on this Amazon link, and it came out to about $360.
Feel free to fact check me, math's not my strong suit.
This episode made me think about a book I heard Dave recommend: The Barbarous Years - Bernard Bailyn (https://www.amazon.com/Barbarous-Years-America-Civilizations-1600-1675/dp/0375703462)
That book is chock full of the utter insanity that gave rise to the sheer madness that is our country.
Bonus: they keep the orygynal spyllyng of manee quotes in the book. Makes me feel like Dave interpreting/pronouncing odd names.
Awesome show, but why no love for the hat pin marys? This seems like a perfect time to bring up pro-wrestling and the stabbing of performers by audience members.
