I once met a girl who told me she would never fail a drug test. She would buy the synthetic urine. In order not to be caught pouring it into the specimen cup she would get a plastic spice jar like these https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08MPZVJ5T/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_glt_fabc_TYMH6XGAD3M76QB6KTBD?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
She would put the "urine" into the jar, put a few small pieces of foil over the opening and tape around to seal the urine in, and prevent the foil from scratching. Before her test she would set it in a cup of hot water to warm it up a bit then insert it into her Vag with foil pointing down. Her vag would keep it at the right temp. At the test location she would hold the cup under, then puncture the foil with her finger. She said she never got caught doing this, and she used to be observed for some of her tests, probation I think. I just thought it was pretty clever.
I carry anytime I travel. I don't mention it to my hosts. It's none of their business and as long as no one attempts to break into my room to steal my stuff or assault me there won't be an issue. I keep the gun in my purse in the passenger seat for easy access. I leave it in my car when I go into the hospital, but i have pepper spray and a key chain weapon on my keys. Keep your mouth shut and no one will know you have a g*n. That's what I do. I also have a door lock security device from Amazon. https://www.amazon.com/Portable-Additional-Apartment-Unauthorized-Traveling/dp/B09TPGR5WJ/ref=mp_s_a_1_2_sspa?crid=3FUKLCHRU7FI0&keywords=door+lock+security&qid=1662472455&sprefix=door+lock+%2Caps%2C286&sr=8-2-spons&psc=1&spLa=ZW5jcnlwdGVkUXVhbGlmaWVyPUEzR1RJSjZYWTY2U0FDJmVuY3J5cHRlZElkPUEwNjcxMTA4Mk9VSVZGQzlNNUo2TCZlbmNyeXB0ZWRBZElkPUEwNjc5Nzg4MVFBMjY1NjA0TFNQSyZ3aWRnZXROYW1lPXNwX3Bob25lX3NlYXJjaF9hdGYmYWN0aW9uPWNsaWNrUmVkaXJlY3QmZG9Ob3RMb2dDbGljaz10cnVl
If you're local then yes, you're fully taxed.
If you're concerned about the amount of tax, I use this app

There is one for iPhone, as well.

Rubber band it to the urine, will heat to body temp in 30-45 minutes, then keep it next to your skin until you're in the bathroom. As a girl, the side of a well-underwired bra or down the front of my pants between my pubis and my panties both have worked well. QuikFix 2.0 is my go-to and has been for years.
Not that I know anything about that.
I've used Reflective Insulation for my windows when I slept in my FJ on extended backpacking trips. Weathertech has premade full body kits you can buy too.
It worked but it still got pretty stuffy. Definitely not ideal for a 13 weeks contract.
If you ask your recruiter, she can take the funds from your overall pay package to reimburse you for scrubs. Amazon sells scrubs in sets for a pretty good deal Cherokee Women's Unisex Top and Scrub Pant Set https://www.amazon.com/dp/B002UDC09E/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apan_glt_i_1B73TDJPC9XB770RM04M
White noise sleep app, this ridiculously comfy mask from Amazon, and you could even wear this headband with white noise (if it’s not too uncomfortable).

> decent coffee maker
This would be a perfect coffee maker IMO. It supports Keurig K-cups as well as Nespresso espresso capsules so one machine will support those who like regular coffee and those that prefer espresso.
They don’t hire foreigners or they won’t allow US citizens to be overseas while doing the work? If it’s the later you could set yourself up with a VPN service for $5-10 a month that’ll route all your internet traffic through a US based server so the company won’t be able to tell the difference. NordVPN is great and you can get a dedicated IP address so it looks like you’re in either Buffalo, LA, or Dallas.
This is the app I use:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.loopcupcakes.paycheck
There is an iOS version if you're on iPhone.
I've been using it for three years. It's always within ~50-150 of my actual pay.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.loopcupcakes.paycheck
I use this app. It's free, and it always within ~$200 of what my net check is. I've been having issues with the state taxes being higher, but since it doesn't have a spot for two states, it works out anyway.
I am not a Keurig fan I use this https://www.amazon.com/Singles-Machines-Reservoir-Strength-Kitchen/dp/B0827B1PDY/ref=sr_1_16?keywords=One+Cup+No+Pod+Coffee+Maker&qid=1637749336&qsid=140-8579750-6337836&sr=8-16&sres=B07457Z312%2CB07T81JDX2%2CB0010XECWI%2CB00EI7DPS0%2CB07PFLM2LK%2CB008YS1WXE%2CB08DFLSSRB%2CB08QXLK6RG%2CB07P183J3S%2CB097S66K5C%2CB08HRM697D%2CB07XJXVC28%2CB08CGZQ2Y2%2CB0827B1PDY%2CB074WH5S44%2CB085KZTH9J%2CB08ZSDD3LV%2CB08FVDYKKY%2CB08JLWQ4MG%2CB005IR4W7W&srpt=COFFEE_MAKER It can do both K-cups and ground coffee. A blender would be good also.
Aww, I wish I had a dad like you! 🥺
I’ve been a travel nurse for a little over a year and a nurse for 3 years dating a military policeman trying to get into a PD.
I’ve had great experiences with housing websites like furnishedfinder.com, AirBnB, and hotels with review ratings like Expedia. I haven’t done this, but I have heard many travelers reach out to apartment complexes and do 3 month housing contract. It might be a little more expensive, but you have stable housing and not have to worry about week by week housing.
I also personally carry and have safety equipment with me such as a door jammer. I also checked out hotel/travel housing safety videos on YouTube.
Hope this helps!

I had two of these and would limit myself to basically the essentials that would fit in 2 of these. Whatever else I needed I would buy at a thrift store wherever I was and if I didn’t need it after, I would just re-donate it back.
I got these from amazon and have really liked them
Reusable Silicone Food Storage...

You can cook with them, freeze them, put them in the microwave, dishwasher, everything. It’s awesome.
If you want to pay a bit more I bought one of these and have loved it because it’s much easier to seal than the ones with a plastic sealer that you slide over. They are definitely higher quality and stand up on their own much better.
