It's arguably better than S3 of Trollhunters, but wouldn't work nearly as well if S3 of Trollhunters didn't exist. It's the crossover/"in-universe" feel that really makes 3 Below so much fun. ("Battle of the Bands!")

My favorite bits were when the supporting characters in Trollhunters got some more time to come out and play. I really liked that Señor Uhl got all protective of Aja and Krel against immigrant-prejudice. And the way they worked in Nancy "Nanna" Domzalski, in particular, made me laugh my guts out. As did the pairing of Luug with Gnome Chompski.

I think my fave in-joke, though, was the Edgar Wright "Cornetto Trilogy" homage gag of Stu going over fences, given that Stu is voiced by Nick Frost.

And yeah, I really wish we had more than just a S1 DVD of <em>Trollhunters</em>. But I'm guessing the DVD probably didn't sell that well, so they're not seeing a need to blu-ray it or S2 & S3, let alone do 3 Below.
