Just finished my remix of Adele's 'Hello' after 6 weeks of solid work. pretty happy with the outcome, have a listen and let me know what you think :)

For anyone wondering, no, this is technically not tropical house. But, it is considered to be one of the first tropical house songs ever made, long before the genre was actually a thing! (sort of).

Let me explain how I found it.

Just recently, after viewing Vladimir Putin's "Vaporwave songs and their Original Samples" series, I came across this track, titled "Runaway" by an artist called "Sam Money" (which ended up being sampled by Luxury Elite for his song "Sunkissed").

The track supposedly came out in 1986, but the only information about this song that I could find is that it once surfaced on a German Italo-disco classics album in 2006. That's pretty much it. Sam Money's only release according to Discogs is just this one song, and nothing else.

It's a shame that this was somewhat never mentioned anywhere untill now. The intro to this does sound very Kygo-esque. I would say this is possibly an example of proto-trop. house (or maybe I just haven't listened to enough italo disco / tropical house).

It's a pretty good song tbh, sounds totally like 80's pop. 4.5/5
