for the interview I used this really good book from UniAdmissions :https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/0993571107?ref_=dbs_m_mng_rwt_calw_tpbk_3&storeType=ebooks&qid=1659010710&sr=1-1-spons its got like the most commonly asked questions at interview so that you wont be surprised by some of the questions they ask. I also made sure I read the news especially anything to do with the NHS so that I was aware of any hot topics. Also just practising with a friend/teacher/loved one and delivering answers to basics questions like why med out loud is really really important so that you're not saying it for the first time in the interview.
Some general tips for the QR in case you find future questions like these tricky!

Third section is Quantitative Reasoning, which, if you want to get a high score, is the section you have to aim for nearly full marks in. Although it is a maths section, it is nothing like A-Level maths and is more similar to the maths we do in Year 9. It is made harder as you only have 40 seconds per question however if you work quickly and accurately then it should be a high-scoring section. My top tips would be to; get comfortable with the calculator as it is quite annoying, write down numbers on your whiteboard, know how to work with percentages and decimals and to try and know your basic fraction conversions like 1/8 = 0.125.
I also found this book really helpful cos it has strategies and tips as well as lots and lots of practise qs and mock exams.
Decision Making, one of the easier sections in my opinion as you have roughly a minute per question. It involves lots of different questions like Venn diagrams, probability, logic puzzles, and syllogisms. My top tips would be to take your time, think logically, use your whiteboard to write anything down, and to flag questions you don’t understand. You may find this book helpful which has not only strategies and tips for each section but loads of practise questions and mock exams https://www.amazon.co.uk/Ultimate-UCAT-Collection-solutions-Application/dp/1913683834/ref=sr\_1\_1\_sspa?crid=3S7M72XUORF7F&keywords=uniadmissions+book+ucat&qid=1659013386&sprefix=uniadmiss%2Caps%2C400&sr=8-1-spons&psc=1&sp...
Hey, I got an 890 in DM and I think I can probably help. When I started practising, I was initially getting like 500-600s ish and then after a ton of practising on medify I'd be getting like 750. BUT when I got to the official mocks I'd be back to 600. A lot of my friends didn't even look at the official mocks, and saw like a 150 point drop in DM alone compared to Medify. The biggest thing I realised is that most prep resources get the DM definitions wrong. Like, you've probably already heard of how inconsistently the word "some" is used but like there's also stuff like "except", "only if", "most" and heaps more that just directly contradict the way Medify uses them. I made a compilation of all of these phrases used in various different contexts, with the CORRECT answers and full explanations (written by myself). I've checked all of the definitions by emailing UCAT and can thus, guarantee their accuracy. I honestly think it was this extra effort I made that led to my score. If anyone's interested, I'm selling it for 7 pounds (cheap coz I know y'all just kids haha but I promise it's worth way more!) + I stuck my AR notes on as well if ur is interested (got 870): https://payhip.com/b/47IV

QR: I don't personally believe in using mental math in QR, the truth is if you have nimble fingers you can always type into a calculator faster than you can think so practicing number pad typing speed will really help for QR. Another tip is ACT not REACT. You need to be able to recognize the tough questions before you even attempt them, there are always easier questions in the exam. I don't remember if it was a mini mock or a big mock but I got like 26/36 in QR because i spent too long on the tough questions when the final question set was literally about the area of a square but unfortunately the time ran out and I couldn't answer them.
DM: was my worst section a month ago on medify but now I can kinda count on DM to raise my average. I think DM is very repetitive, The syllogisms are soo repetitive, they just swap the words around. I recommend actively seeing where you went wrong with the syllogisms then reading and UNDERSTANDING the reasoning behind it because I can guarantee that syllogism, will come up again later but with different words.
Another thing I think I want to speeding through the evaluating arguments sections. I have noticed the correct argument usually has the most words but obviously this isn't always the case.
Finally for DM, Prioritize the syllogisms and YES/NO questions when running out of time, they carry more marks.
TL;DR:
If you have any more questions feel free to ask!
I used this one: (think I got it slightly cheaper)
It has lots of questions and a few mocks at the end. Then the official ucat website has more questions and mocks on there. For me this was plenty but I think medify has a lot more if you didn’t think this was enough !
