Yes I realised that, but I maybe thought that the country is defined by the IP, and by using Hotspot Shield and changed my location to USA, and then checked.
So my IP is located in USA, but still no HitApps
I believe they use this system https://www.payoneer.com/home/
I imagine they should have emailed you to ask you to make an account on there linked to your Appen account.
Did you get a support address from them when you got your contract through? That would probably be the best place to enquire.

it's down today. also bing.com is also down for me the last two days but i found a workaround by using a proxy in LA. it's still having problems today when visiting it without the proxy. you can check it using the same site listed above.
this is really annoying since last month Appen/UHRS had no HitApps for about a week around the beginning of August and it wasn't fixed until the next Tuesday (it broke on a Thursday), and i emailed them twice with no reply but it was fixed by Tuesday for me. I barely made it over the minimum payout for July and now with these routing issues in August there's only eleven days left until the next month's schedule starts, I usually try to do two to three times the minimum. I'm only about half way to the minimum for August and was really hoping to catch up this week. Luckily I have a few months income from the spring saved up so this isn't critical but it's still very annoying to have to redo my budgeting unexpectedly.
Any ideas of who to contact about the downtime of these two sites?
Update 1: I emailed about the issues just now and I found i was able to get to UHRS and BING with a proxy. The service I'm using is Cactus VPN which offers proxies and VPNs, they have a free 24 hour trial with just an email account (you can daisy chain other proxies to sign up page to get more days but it's tricky). Using the proxy is easy with FoxyProxy in both Chrome and Firefox. While this works for the time being I am still very annoyed with Microsoft. You would think they would have their act together when it comes to web-hosting. I really would prefer not to buy a full time VPN/proxy from Cactus but they deserve my business anyway.
Update 2: Automatic Reply, "Hello - I'm out of the office until 8/11." . LOL well this explains why everything has been crashing and burning since Friday.
