Copying and pasting what I put to OP:
Please, please, Please go see a Rheumatologist!! Blue fingers, sudden unexplained pain, etc. That sounds like an autoimmune disorder. They can trigger at any point in your life. I han terrible hand and leg pain begining 6 weeks ago. It took steroid pack last week and it was the only thing to get the pain down but unfortunately I spent 4 full weeks seeing a neurologist first.
Edit:
Fingers changing color: https://www.mayoclinic.org/diseases-conditions/raynauds-disease/symptoms-causes/syc-20363571
This^ can be a secondary syndrome to many things like Rheumatoid Arthritis and Lupus. Again, ...those autoimmune disorders can be triggered at any age.

Edit 2:
I've pain was almost unbearable. No one knew what was wrong with me. The Rheumatologist knew I had one condition (hypermobility) ffrom tmr exam and suspect's i have RA or lupus. I had subtle signs all my Life but never had anything big enough to cause me to even notice until now.
Edit 3:
Fyi, I used outside doctor (thankfully I have insurance) because it took the VA two full weeks just to call me back and ask me q question... they weren't even calling me to set up an appt. So I'm in excruciating pain and can't perform basic daily tasks like brushing my hair and they took 2 weeks to ask me if I still have medicine from 6 months ago.
Surprising? Yes. However, it is not a death sentence. As you complete your transition from military to civilian life, find yourself a good VSO who can help you apply for and get all the benefits you're eligible for. This should help alleviate a bit of financial stress.
Additionally, it is important to keep your stress level low. It has been said that Epste
in-Barr virus is the culprit at the root of MS. I urge you to immerse yourself in the work of Anthony William. Additionally, get the book by Dr. Wahls. Many people have found relieve and success with it. http://www.amazon.com/Wahls-Protocol-Radical-Autoimmune-Conditions-ebook/dp/B00DMCJOW8/. Lastly, look into LDN. Get and read the LDN Books 1, 2 & 3 from Amazon. Many people with the same diagnosis have found great benefit.
Please keep us posted and let us know how you get on.
Best of luck to you!
