going DIY is the way to go. I've heard this from the pros as well. There just isn't the selection of dance specific shoes. The pair I bought most recently was from ALDO There called Aauwen-R Dark Grey, then I just went on amazon and got some stick on suede. The only problem I have found so far with this was that I stuck them on and it immediately slid like a 1/4 inch. Which isn't much but that's 1/4 without suede on the outside edge. I think I just should have walked around to let them dry. I immediately went down to dance at a dance event. So probably user error.
Most cobblers and shoe repair places will be able to attach new suede.
You can also try doing it yourself, with suede from Amazon and shoe glue. Some of the suede comes with glue attached to stick on.
I've recently switched from Shoe Goo to this stuff for reattaching suede. It's pretty impressive so far.
It looks good! I'm really impressed by anyone who can put a whole website together!
And happy to help! Glad you've found a logo font you like. I really know nothing about website design so I'm afraid I can't help you there, but I do a bit of graphic design for swing events etc as a hobby so if you want the logo changed or whatever, I can help. I made that one yesterday in about 10 minutes so if you want it cleaned up, let me know. I can also send you a higher resolution if you want to use it elsewhere, or can turn it into a favicon for your site.
I think it can hard to find a serif font that looks contemporary, as serif fonts tend to convey a more mature vibe (consider that all major broadsheet newspapers use serif fonts), plus you will find that many of the really nice fonts are not free to use, but Museo may work. Museo also has different versions (slab, sans and other weights etc.) which may suit your subheadings.
