Yep! I belong to a small group of scambaiters and we have a shared gmail address to take these guys to hangouts. Honestly, they're usually boring. The first thing they ALL do is ask for another pic of you. We just say you already saw the pic of me on the game (we also all use fake pics from thispersondoesnotexist.com). Many times when we refuse to send another pic they aren't interested in chatting. Otherwise, they pretty much follow the same scripts they use on WWF. They send more fake pics of the dude they're impersonating. They send dumb little "good morning" messages and stickers. Other than that there's just a bunch of "hello, how are you doing?" throughout the day. When they figure out they're not getting anywhere with us they lose interest. Occasionally, we'll get someone we had scambaited weeks or months ago pop up again but they go away again soon after.
Based on ENABLE with modifications. You used to be able get the list from an iTunes back-up.
I think you need to disable "all" notifications for the app at the Android level ("outright", as you put it). Best compromise, probably.
It looks like you are on a slightly older version of Android and/or WWF2 which is why yours is different than ours.
It's doubtful you can update Android, but you might be able to update Words 2 (go to Google Play, search "Words With Friends 2", click it, the specify "Update" -- or just click here)
If nothing changes, you are just stuck on an older version of Android (the best your phone can support), which in turn, limits which version of WWF2 you can run... notification controls are worse on older versions of both.
I disagree with the definition- as a midwesterner, it's more like oops. you bump into someone you say ope, sorry.
