Solved it with this: https://www.amazon.de/gp/product/B08TX473Z8/
Takes in eARC from the TV and sends as normal uncompressed audio to AV receiver (normal input HDMI, not ARC). No lag anymore on Atmos. Can select 5.1 and 7.1 uncompressed now. Still full CEC functionality. Finally a solution - and for 60€ not too bad compared to buying an eARC capable AVR.
Me too! I have bought Steel Arctis, MS, LucidSound, Razer, TB etc. All of them wireless and none work. They all crackle and disconnect. It happened right when I switched over to series x. I did not have any isssues with one x. The only headset that works is HyperX CloudX.

But.... I am not satisfied with the sound and controls for the HyperX. They never lose connection or crackle but sound for me is sub par and they are sweaty on my ears. I am shook I can't find something that works. I recently returned the the Razer kaira Pro. Sound was great, good mic monitoring but sadly they started crackling about a day later. I have done everything and nothing. I thought it my be usb, because the HyperX plug in with a dongle. So I bought the LucidSound 50X because they have a dongle. But didn't work.
I get this with my CX only its with my 3080 and never the Series X. I assumed it was the receiver I'm using.... Instead of restarting the console can you restart the TV? See if it still stays that way?
Also, are you using certified HDMI 2.1 cables? My issues went away when i replaced my 2.1 cables with certified 2.1 cables. (early adopter woes)
Thanks. Here's the one I was using and it's brand new -https://www.amazon.com/dp/B017VXU6GG/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_glt_fabc_H2X3Q21C8XYG1Z7WQQHX
I had my gaming monitor, Google home device and sometimes my cell phone charger plugged in. I also keep my laptop charging but it's very rarely on and powered up a the same time as my Xbox, so when the Xbox is drawing power the laptop is either in sleep mode or turned off entirely.
Think that could have caused any damage?
I recently bought these thermal pads.
Notice the 2 millimeter thickness!
I haven't got around to redoing the pads but the reviews say this thickness is perfect for the One X.
Can't guarantee anything obviously but also note that not only are your thermal pads most likely too thin, they also only transfer a measly 8 watts of heat, whereas those I linked transfer 12 watts, a whole 50% more.
Hope this information helps you.
OP here. Replaced the fan on Sunday. No change in performance/fan noise at all. Not a big deal but was a waste of money. The thermal pads should be arriving by Wednesday. Here is a link to the ones I purchased. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00ZJSRKTC/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
By a microphone adapter for the controller. Because it’s probs the headphone Jack. The adapter removes the need for a headphone Jack. I used an adapter when this happened to me and it worked fine. https://www.amazon.co.uk/Garsent-Headset-Headphone-Converter-Controller-default/dp/B07H31YDHR/ref=pd_lpo_23_img_1/262-2362965-2274944?_encoding=UTF8&pd_rd_i=B07H31YDHR&pd_rd_r=a26ff901-9654-409e-be14-4b38147475bc&pd_rd_w=LZfPi&pd_r...
One like this will do. Make sure it’s the right size jack though on the adapter just search up the jack size for your headset
