Xiaomi Aqara, works with any ZigBee hub, no need for the Aqara Hub: Aqara Temperature and Humidity Sensor, REQUIRES AQARA HUB, Zigbee, for Remote Monitoring and Home Automation, Wireless Thermometer Hygrometer, Compatible with Apple HomeKit, Alexa, Works with IFTTT https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07D37FKGY/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_4JJ097XK6MNA5RYHQNAH?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
I use mine with a Dresden Elektronik USB ZigBee stick
In this case, I'm talking about the physical form factor of the actual apparatus that the user interacts with-- not the circuit itself. I guess they also call them rocker switches.
Image: Toggle vs Paddle/Rocker Switches
If I'm understanding your solutions correctly, I'm cool with the monostable switches (which I think is what the Embrighten (link: Amazon) switch is) -- that seems like a logical compromise-- I was more or less just talking about the physical piece itself.

I have this coordinator, and I want to get the new Aqara Motions Sensor P1 https://www.amazon.com/Aqara-Configurable-Detection-Automations-Compatible/dp/B09QKVMMTB
But the new motion sensor needs Zigbee 3.0
Only mains-powered devices act as routers, and manufacturers are allowed to deviate from the zigbee spec, so there are some exceptions to that as I mentioned.
Better security than what?
I'm not personally using any no-neutral switches/dimmers, but they do exist. One example I found with a quick Google search.
That ikea repeater is a terrible phone charger, slow af. I vote for the sonoff s31 lite. I have one in every room, half them are just there as repeaters. I'm also a fan of 3rd reality products and I see a cheap 4 here. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09KNDM4VV/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_glt_i_F2TAR9JRDV6DP5VDCWS4
Be glad your bulbs don't repeat, bulbs make terrible repeaters.
I recently went on a mission to change all my lights in the house for smart lights, but I had a lot of different types of lights. Some things I just put a smart lightbulb in, some things I got lightbulb adapters and put smart lights in the adapter, I got an IR blaster for another ceiling fan light (didn't end up working), and smart outlets for another few lamps. I ended up having to replace the light switches for those with smart light switches.
There are things such as a relay switch you can get as well, I explored that option as well but I didn't get too far into it since for me the light-switch option was easier. Since you have the actual switch right there a relay switch might be the easier option. There is the Sonoff ZBMINI relay switch someone suggested to me, it may be a fairly simple switch out for you.
I liked having the light switch option so that I could control the light from the light-switch and smart assistants, but for the lights where that's not the case I've put a Sonoff SNZB-01 on the actual light-switch to make sure that I don't shut the light switch off, and then I connected the button to the bulb (or in your case relay switch) so pressing the button turns it on or off.
Replacing the light-switch switch with a smart light-switch was a lot easier than I anticipated. There are some that require a neutral wire, some that don't. If you decide to go that route and need any help figuring what types of switches you can get for your wiring set up or what wires to connect where, I'm happy to help.

This is the same device I have - but not the same seller: https://www.amazon.com/GoControl-CECOMINOD016164-HUSBZB-1-USB-Hub/dp/B01GJ826F8 You may be able to find a better price elsewhere though.
I'm using these for all the lights that have many bulbs https://www.amazon.de/dp/B09B99LVPJ/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_glt_i_VJ9GKYTXJ3NAR1508ZXR?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
Integrates with Phillips Hue hub with no issues, so pretty confident it'll work with any ZigBee hub.
one important thing to remember though is that any of the relays mentioned here will require a neutral wire if installed behind the switch. I don't have neutral going to my switches so ended up installing it directly in the ceiling light.
Also make sure if you want to dim your LED bulbs that you get a "trailing edge" dimmer rather than "leading edge"
weirdly, in english they are mostly called "Zigbee switch", too - well, weird to me, as I would rather have called them "Zigbee relay" or something like that. But indeed, switching is what they do.
Cheap, but most probably working one: https://www.amazon.nl/Compatibel-SmartThings-ZBBridge-Vereist-Gateway/dp/B08MJL8G3C
I think the sensors use a lithium coin-cell, CR2450? You should be able to wire a 3v power supply to it, just take out the coin cell.
I thought something like this might exist for lithium coin cells, but I haven't found one yet.
I don't have experience of using this product, but Aqara is well supported in Home assistant, especially if using Zigbee2mqtt. If you are running Home Assistant, then I presume you already have a dongle, but if not, then you will need a Zigbee USB stick. I use the ZZH , some people use the ConBee
Pair the device with Home assistant and you will be able to use a card in the dashboard to control the shade controller, without needing to use one of your other hubs,
I have bought and am very happy with https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07XT1C9N5/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
which is a US standard socket, however it resembles devices that are designed with modular inserts so I expect you can find a UK variant.

For MY purposes I choose these... But my reasons may be totally different than yours.
My Reasons: I rent and therefore should not / can not replace the existing switches. Even if I could this is an older home with no-neutral wires, limiting my choices. Since they are battery powered Wi-Fi is a no-go. However even if they were powered, ZigBee or ZWave are much better choices.
I therefore chose these external devices that mount over the existing switches and toggle them manually. They connect thru pretty much any ZigBee hub and run on two AAA batteries which I have yet to need to replace.
