Ah forgot out that - yeah VPN not a problem. I used to be with Private Internet Access and that was fine. Now I’m with NordVPN and that’s also fine. I’m also a network admin for the company that owns all the emergency services network infrastructure, so I use very high security VPN platforms from home when I’m on-call and that’s fine too.
I also have a Shadow PC and that’s had no issues either. There’s nothing special to have to think about as far as what you’re able to do or anything - just normal, open internet.
I don't know about the operator, I just know that the IP address of my IG account pulled from istaunch and then inserted into ipinfo.io has an ASN assigned name of Amazon.com.
My suspicion was that someone from another country got Instagram to send a recovery access code to my email, and I was wondering if that's possible.
check your task manager to see the specific name of the program. You could try a program for removing bloatware called https://www.shouldiremoveit.com/
edit: I am actually curious to know the name of the program. When you hover over the icon on the bottom what does it say? I want to look up more about it.
There is a chrome extension you can get. it bypasses most paywalls. When you click on the link, scroll down a little to where it has some basic instructions. This should help with your problem.
I've used this for a similar issue. Oggsync
Seems to work okay, a little temperamental for what I'm using it for, but the sync with Google works well. (I was actually using the Google Calendar as a go-between, so there were dual syncs... and timing because an issue)
Here’s one on Amazon
P3 International P4460 Kill A Watt EZ Electricity Usage Monitor https://www.amazon.com/dp/B000RGF29Q/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_MDP7285CTP3QD7E07M3F Called a kill-a-watt meter
In theory, maybe? If the connections "just work" and you're on an old enough macbook where you can even physically swap the hard disk (newer macbooks do not allow this)... but even then you won't be able to "boot up" the windows installation in your mac, so it wouldn't really make sense anyway.
However, if you just want to get the content off the disk, and the disk is not encrypted (makes it very difficult), one thing you could do is remove the hard drive from the hp laptop and install it into an external hard drive case, then plug that into your macbook via USB. If your hard drive is still OK that could work!
For example, this product (first thing I found when googling "laptop hard drive enclosure") or one like it could work: https://www.amazon.com/UGREEN-Enclosure-External-Adapter-Housing/dp/B07D2BHVBD/ (there's a cheaper one but the reviews arent great... up to you).
The idea is that you open up your hp laptop, remove the hard drive (SATA based on that model number), install it to the enclosure, and plug it into the usb port on another computer.
