Have a look at Hourly Liquid Precip. (in) and you'll see no heavy rain as we had this past Tuesday
I just bought these for my daughter's vertical-opening bedroom window and they're very sturdy:

And combined with a stick-on alarm to give my wife some extra peace of mind.
I recently purchased some waterless cleaner, and I've been extremely impressed. It seems highly rated among car afficianados, of which I am not one. But it's been amazing for me!! (I also turned my FIL onto it, he has a new 2022 Tesla S which is his baby and he bought the stuff after trying it at my place. He wipes it down after every drive)
Here's the stuff I bought: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00X04JRMU/
I think you're talking about Pacific Beach. Here are some Airbnbs in that area: https://www.airbnb.com/s/San-Diego--CA?checkin=11%2F01%2F2015&checkout=12%2F13%2F2015&price_max=1595&neighborhoods%5B%5D=Pacific+Beach&ss_id=gpewodwd
You can rent a house for a few days which is fully furnished and has all the things that you need like a home from vacation rental homes on VRBO if its only for a few days. Here's a link.
Or you can also search on AirBnb 2. https://www.airbnb.com/ for San Diego and find family or folks who have a couple of spare rooms they are willing to rent out, or you can rent different rooms. Since you are coming to San Diego, you will be definetly renting a car or an SUV for a few days or so to get around our city.
I can tell you neighborhoods are good neighborhood, but San Diego is a very pricey city, and for nice neighborhoods, the price goes up. The options I linked above are a good place to start. Coronado, Del Mar, La Jolla are some of the very Elite and nicest and very pricey neighborhoods. You can also search and rent a home in Pacific Beach, Point Loma, Mission Bay, or North park for cheaper. Also Talmadge, Kensington, La Mesa etc are some more nicer counties/neighborhoods but farther away East of the city, but still drivable to all the fun places in 15~ mins or so.
Enjoy and welcome your stay here. If it was just one or two people, I could have let you stay at my home. I have a spare bedroom. But it looks like you are a mini team who all wants to stay together.
bandsintown is a nice resource for this stuff. Also as u/FreddieFreelance suggested, Citybeat and San Diego Reader are great for finding music.
I also really like Tin Can Ale House for smaller folky stuff. Bar Pink is nice cause they always have something and it's always free. Always seem to mix up genres.
