If you use a VPN (I use NordVPN, it's $4.99 per month) set to the UK and go to , you can watch the first 4 seasons as well as Bake Off Junior, all of the celebrity and holiday specials, Bake Off Professional, and Bake Off: An Extra Slice.
get a VPN. I use NordVPN and got a coupon for $60 for a year’s subscription. It can connect you to servers in any country you want, so if you connect to UK or US Netflix you can watch previously aired episodes there.
If you want the latest episodes or don’t wanna spend any could always just sail the high seas ☠️
Since Zenmate made the UK a premium option I have to watch it 7 hours after the fact like some sort of pleb :(
I'm liking Flora so far, she reminds me of a Scottish Martha who I loved last series. Liking Tamal too, his first cake was very pretty. Also Paul 2.0 should stick around just for the comedic elements.
Paul looks like he absolutely loathes Stu and his stupid hat. I'm pretty sure he's gone.
Arg, I feel so bad for that lady and her cake. After all that and they say it tastes like rubber. :(
Welp, Stu is gone, I bet rubber cake lady is relieved. Now I just need to find a decent VPN by next week so I can actually watch it live.
If you aren't already using a VPN, you should be! It will protect your privacy online and allow you to effectively change which country websites think you're coming from.
I recommend NordVPN, they have a really easy app that lets you choose which country to connect to. Connect to the UK, and 4OD works like a charm. $10 or less depending on how long you sign up for.
Look up the GBBO cook books on Amazon.
Literally walks you through a ton of basics and techniques and every recipe has been featured on the show at some point
You can sign up for a VPN that has servers in the UK and then stream the new episodes via the BBC iPlayer. NordVPN is an option that I know works, but there are others available. VPNs are fairly inexpensive and also have online privacy benefits. They're an option generally worth looking into.
Are you in the UK? This silicone mold looks like what Peter used. https://www.amazon.co.uk/silikomart-Silicone-Mould-Rectangular-Terracotta/dp/B002ZIF9VA/
I'm a Brit in the US. If you want to try a steamed pudding but without all the basin/string/foil/paper faff I recommend one of these:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001RPH3IO/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
A golden syrup steamed pudding with custard is a household staple here. I use Bird's custard powder rather than pre-made custard.
I'm in the US too (originally from the UK though), and I use one of these:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001RPH3IO/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Saves all the faffing about with foil and cloth and string. A golden syrup steamed pudding with too much custard (no, not that sort, crème anglaise) is a cold evening staple. Super simple too.
Don't know if it's just a British thing, but there definitely are Bake Off Recipe Books. I get the latest one from my husband for Christmas most years! Like this one: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Great-British-Bake-Off-official/dp/0751584401?ref=d6k_applink_bb_dls&dplnkId=2cf20878-60a6-4bab-bedb-3fe5917a1b23
I just watched the show on Canada’s network TV (they show it a year behind), and saw his cookbook on Amazon.ca due Oct 11 2022
There's a whole mess of them! Big Book of Baking, Love to Bake, A Bake for All Seasons, Get Baking for Friends and Family, Big Book of Amazing Cakes. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B087D4MZ4F
They should all have "Great British Bake Off" or "Great British Baking Show" as the first part of the title depending on where you live and purchase.
I think the Big Book of Baking is the most popular and "essential" one.
Re: The reports, yes it’s technically piracy but since the show isn’t being syndicated to US Netflix/TV it’s not taking away viewership.
For those in the UK here is the link to watch it on iPlayer
The trivia event covers all things baking, and if you're a fan of Bake Off, you're poised to do quite well ;)
Tickets are $6 per device, and can be bought here:

I'm happy to answer any questions... unless they are technical in nature. Because technical are judged blind? ;)
ExpressVPN works for me much of the time (from the US), but does get region-blocked by All4 now and then for a while, then starts working again. Seems to be a constant game of cat and mouse between them.
No prob! I should add that a lot of youtubers do promotions where if you sign up using their link you get 15 months for the price of 12 or some similar deal.
I have ExpressVPN and I think I prob got the discount from Danny Gonzalez or drew gooden
I do know some things about IT and can chime in! Using a free VPN is an absolutely terrible idea. Really, I cannot stress this enough, do not use a free VPN ever, for anything. A VPN routes your web traffic through the service's servers located around the world, meaning that whatever service you go through has access to 100% of what you do online. If you're not carefully vetting your VPN service, it's very easy to fall victim to scammers who are looking to steal your identity. Even some paid VPNs aren't very safe because of where the company is located or what they do with your data, but free ones always come with a ton of risks. Yeah, a free VPN might let you see region-locked content for free two days early, but is that really worth risking someone gaining access to your finances?
Paid VPN companies are constantly offering huge discounts to new users, as well, and the costs are pretty negligible. I paid $50 for 3 years of Surfshark, which is a reputable VPN company that I vetted and felt comfortable enough with. ExpressVPN and NordVPN are also good choices that are affordable and constantly running huge promotions.
Tunnelbear specifically is based in Canada and owned by McAfee, which is notorious for selling "security" products that are practically malware. It seems like a pretty mediocre service considering it comes with a bandwidth cap, has very low speeds, is located somewhere that isn't great for web security, and also doesn't work on mobile devices. My Surfshark subscription was less than a third of the price ($50/3 years vs $60/year) and doesn't have any of these limitations.
tl;dr: If you're going to use a VPN, don't be cheap and make sure you trust the company you're willingly giving all of your data to.
i know this is a really old post but i just came across it! i can recommend professional baking. it was the textbook assigned for all my lab classes in pastry school and it has a great run through of the basics as well as more advanced bakes. it’s definitely an investment but i still refer back to mine two years after graduating!!!
For us lazy Bake-Off fans I ordered these on Amazon and devoured the 2 boxes in about 30 minutes. I never had a Macaron and was dying to know what they were like.
I personally use AirVPN, and have no issues. I'm sure someone could point out an issue with them though. Private Internet Access is a trusted VPN provider as well.
Piracy is always an option as well, but I won't advocate it.
Nice. Not sure I could be bothered with cutting out such a complex shape though... niceeshop(TM) Palm Tree Cookie Cutter Cut Outs Mold For Party :)
