Thought I'd seen that around before
Seems it may have changed hands repeatedly
Also, rules are semi-strict about the "wagon" part, so /r/battlecars would probably be preferable.
I used Magnetic mounts for my light bar from amazon:

I ended up wiring the button through the door wiring, and not the firewall because of such a tight squeeze. i’ll send more pics if needed!
this is as close as I've seen so far. I would cut and angle it a bit if i could get it to bolt on.
They are indeed identical. Josh bought his from Walmart, it is branded as a Reese Carry Power I believe and was about $99. I purchased mine through Amazon for ~$80, this is the link: https://www.amazon.com/Highland-1041900-U-Venture-Rooftop-Basket/dp/B007GMHTQ8

I got mine from Amazon. It was a bit pricey, but it has a single hydraulic arm and love the latch design. Although it does seem flimsy when opening, but pretty strong with heavy recovery crap in it. Some drilling required.

I've tried a few different kinds, currently running this:

It has metal inserted the whole length which really helps. However has bright yellow inner ribs for some reason which you can see from certain angles which is a bit unfortunate. Otherwise pretty happy with it.

I fabricated mounting brackets for the bumper. I used 1/4 steel plates welded the mounting bolts to it, then reinforced the plates to the body

I don’t know if this is the exact one but looks exactly like it and fits the style truck I took it off of. I got mine off a junk truck used.
Wow that’s nuts. I have two of pretty much the exact same thing expect mine are 4.5 lbs a piece. The red housing is pretty heavy. That’s so odd

I didn't really ask the owner anything other than if I could post it on here. He might be willing to answer if you reach out, the ad's right here, but knowing some about these cars I'd probably assume its some variant of an allroad setup with the air suspension thrown out. https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/1738274106220353
Edit: Well, just realized the necessary info is in the description of the ad.
Don't use a dirt bike carrier for the minibike, you don't need something that long. We got this carrier and it's perfect for the BT200. It keeps it in tight and when you're not hauling the bike, it's great to haul stuff on too.
I used dirt cheap sandpaper from Amazon since mine has wood shavings/ metal shavings and the like on them. It was $5 and came with a good bit of papers. No sanding block or anything. I used this ceramic to coat them in.

Thanks! I kept the tire size the same as standard [225/65/R18] - any taller and I would've rubbed (unfortunately...I would've liked to add height, but the 33" were too big). I wanted the white wall (white-lettering) but they didn't make it for my wheel size, so I'm considering swapping rims to achieve something like THIS combo.
The lift is the LP Aventure. It does pretty well though I feel it could use a steering stabilizer. If I keep the tires on the soft side it does fine.
I've always had great luck with the iottie car mounts. I've used the 3 and 4, there is now a 5.

His looks like the 'cheap one' i just bought from Amazon last week: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B073V2NDQY
I installed it on my 2005 with a couple of old Optilux HID 4inch lights I had in my garage. I just used 4 stainless steel panhead screws (#12x3/4" I think) to screw it right into the plastic of the bumper. Also had to add some nylon spacers between the mount and the bumper to account for the curvature of the bumper, but it ended up pretty solid. I probably need to add a 'NO TOW' sticker so no one gets any bright ideas. Lol. :)
Happy cake day.
Thanks! Its a labor of love, thats for sure. I built it as thrifty as possible too. These wheels are actually off an 80's Kcar (Chrysler lebaron, dodge shadow, Plymouth spirit to name a few). I wouldnt recommend them just because there is pretty much 0 offset. Bassett makes a pretty inexpensive wheel. They are 15", tire size is LT235/75R15. Cheap ass amazon mud tires work pretty damn well.

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01N9HHPK5/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o07_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 They're pretty good so far, though I haven't really done any heavy thrashing with them. Currently have them wired to my fog light switch.
If you live in an area where they salt the roads look into sealed relays. I’ve had quite a few fail over the years from rust even when tucked up under the hood. And I agree with the other guy make sure the wiring can handle the current draw but also the relays.
I picked these up for my fog and driving lights.

Do you know of a good source for strut spacers? Is it something that goes on top of the strut or somewhere on the bottom? The bolts on the top of the strut aren't long enough for me to add spacers, I wouldn't think.
EDIT: Thoughts on these? https://www.amazon.com/strut-spacers-Honda-Civic-91-00/dp/B076WM9H4M
Sure thing! SSD light bar. Fits 2014 Subaru Outback (All Models) Rally Light Bar (Bull Bar, Nudge Bar), 4 Light Tabs, Powder Coated from SSD Performance https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01CDAVRQK/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_WKwnBbA2QDSNR
Use this and carry a flat repair kit and you don't need any other jacks
Yea. That's what I'm saying. There isn't enough resistance when the fogs and lows beams are on, so they freak out and flicker. Here is a flasher that will stop the hyper flashing for your turn signals.
Thank you! It is the reese roof rack that they sell at walmart, it is the exact same as the highland basket on amazonhttps://www.amazon.com/Highland-1041900-U-Venture-Rooftop-Basket/dp/B007GMHTQ8/ref=sr_1_9?ie=UTF8&qid=1517982561&sr=8-9&keywords=cargo+basket it's just rebranded. I was reluctant to purchase at first but risked it since I could just return it to walmart if I didn't like it but I was really pleasantly surprised for $100 it is everything I need.
Its this one here, for the 300w max, while the light bar is only abour 120W

The diagram for the wiring is the 4th pic down
Yeah, that one is a little expensive, but it seems like it's one of the best. This one is half the price, but it's a little short, so it might rub agains your bumper. I haven't installed my hitch yet, so I can't say for sure
edit: they do say "not for towing", so use it at your own risk haha
My total investment in it was $26 for the light bar and $12 for the wiring harness. It took about an hour to install not knowing quite what I was doing. You can assign the value of looks & functionality/use. I agree it looks great, and I use it semi-often on gravel roads and off road situations.
Thanks! Here, although to warn you one of the switches came very slightly discolored. It was a little purple and less translucent than the others, but you cant tell until you look closely.
Edit: Everything else was just stuff I found wandering home depot.
I've been buying cheap Chinese LEDs on amazon for my jeep and they're really going above and beyond my expectations for about 70 bucks I got a 53 inch light bar and 4 4 inch light pods.
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00FH8P1DG/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_Zsthyb1FS0SM0
I mean you could go with a traditional offroading jack but I kinda think that's overkill. You would would need a jig to fit the pinch welds (where the oem jack points are) or else risk destroying the pinch weld.
I would just get a big block of wood and keep it in the back of your wagon.
Primitive spacers are actually made out of hdpe too. I forgot to take pictures but it was super easy and they look great. I bought a 2 foot sheet here (they have different sizes and thicknesses as well) and just drew on the template, cut the outside with a jigsaw, drilled the stud holes out, and then started the middle hole with a big drill bit and finished with the jigsaw again.
Thanks! It's a 32" bar and throws plenty of light. 180W with 60 bulbs.
It looks like you may need to run a longer trailing arm in the back if you're going to fit a bigger tire. I can't quite tell from the picture.
Where will you be offroading? What sort of temperatures will you be driving in and what sort of terrain?
I personally think that the Toyo Open Country A/T II is a fantastic tire on and off road. I run them on my 1966 Land Rover and my mom runs them on her Rav 4. Excellent ride and grip when aired down to 18psi on a trail. I think they come in a 225/70/R16 which might fit your outback, I'm not sure. You might need a 215.
http://www.amazon.com/Toyo-Open-Country-Radial-Tire/dp/B00P9I6G2E
You could also check out Nokian hakkapeliitta R2, 215/65r16. I've heard rave things. I believe my dad has a set on our Honda Fit, and it rallies through deep snow and icy hills no problem.
https://www.nokiantires.com/winter-tires/nokian-hakkapeliitta-r2/
I'll be getting this rally light bar: http://shop.rallyinnovations.com/collections/rally-light-bar/products/2005-2009-subaru-outback-legacy-rally-light-bar
And these hellas: http://www.amazon.com/HELLA-005750991-12-Volt-55-Watt-Halogen/dp/B00318JTCS
For my Subaru. I think the LED bars are pretty neat but a quality bar will set you back way more than those hellas and there's also a douchey stigma behind them.
Got them from Amazon at about $10 each. I have a ton of these lights and they work great. They are pretty durable and out of the 9 that I have, only one of them has had a single LED go out. So not bad at all!
KYB 341276 Excel-G OE Replacement Shock https://www.amazon.com/dp/B000EQ8GRE/ref=cm_sw_r_awd_E4Gzvb0VMHYSH. Yea the kyb for the '04 is identical but stiffer. Yea I'm tempted to do the king springs but don't have that money to throw around at the moment.
if you aren't interested in spending loads of money and replacing the full suspension system you should check these out http://www.amazon.com/Superior-18-1601-Rubber-Spring-Booster/dp/B000AMBOFS/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1428688176&sr=8-2&keywords=spring+spacers i'm not for sure if they are that good or not as mine have not yet arrived but they aren't that expensive
I got the skid plate from primitive racing.
the light bar i got from amazon. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00KZC60KC/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o06_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
What you do next to it is on you. The skid plate is so nice knowing if anything flies up it will protect the engine from below. I speak from experience I lost my 2009 sti to a giant rock that the skid pate would have protected if I had the plate. But the one thing that I actually do use the most and on a daily basis is the waterproof seat covers. They have saved me from so many stains, and cleaning, so they have already paid it's self off.
Suction Cup Mount! I use a piece of vinyl coated 1/16" cable with crimped loops and steel clips as a safety wire.
The EMPI is cheaper than the ToughOne! I might get that....
Or O'Reilly's. No more Advance axles though!
