If you're looking for cheap, just grab a couple of hex nuts and tie them together (with paracord). They will work just as well as a set that you buy. Otherwise, I just bought this set off amazon and I'm really loving them. Because they're copper they will develop a wonderful patina over time https://www.amazon.com/BEGLERI-COPPER-MACHINED-GREEK-WORRY/dp/B01LYIPSJU?keywords=begleri&qid=1532205872&sr=8-5&ref=mp_s_a_1_5
I just ordered these from Amazon a couple of days ago and expect to get them today. They are about 1 inch in diameter and I think each bead is 38g. I expect them to arrive today and if they work out I'll post a picture and info.

I have, but they are not aesthetically pleasing. I like these ones the best but nobody sell them anymore. They are nice and heavy.
Just visit the above site then after the query string argument (v=) paste in the video ID you can pull out of the URL from a YouTube video.
Example:
Do you flip balisongs at all?
I got into flipping bali's pretty hard a little over a year ago & I absolutely love it.
Now is an amazing time to get into bali's because there's a mind-boggling number of amazing knives **and TRAINERS** out there, at just about any price point you could imagine!
I really only buy & flip trainers because I'm not a masochist. LOL.....
And about the "fashion accessory";......looool.... I dunno 'bout that..... I have so much crap in my pockets, clipped to my belt, and even more crap clipped onto / hanging partway in/out of my pockets...
The last thing I need is ANOTHER thing on my belt or whatever! 😁😂😂🤪🤓
What are some of your other Begleri you have?
Right now I've just got a set I made from 4x nuts and cheapo home depot paracord, some Jimpy Chick Peas and my most recent drive socket sets, which I'm REALLY liking, esp. since I sprung for real, Paracord Planet, bright red & orange 550!!! 😁😎🤩
I just started recently. I bought this belgeri off Amazon and made a monkey fist one myself out of paracord. Both of them handle fine, though adjusting the length on my homemade monkey fist one is a bit tricky. If you have washers or nuts at home, you can make your own pretty easily too.
Hello u/Dodoford, it appears you tried to put a link in a title, since most users cant click these I have placed it here for you

Compared to begleri, the asalato is a lot less technical. The main challenges with playing asalato are:
You'll be able to do a basic beat pretty quickly, especially with prior technical skills from begleri. Once you get past the surface level, you'll start getting involved with time signatures which is a whole other can of worms.
As far as buying a set, my recommendation is to buy these:

You can buy cheaper plastic ones on Amazon, but they are very inferior to these ones and will probably fall apart quickly.
If you want something quieter, get these in the 50mm size:
The ones made out of gourds are cool and they have a great sound, but I think it's better to wait until you have the basics down and know that you enjoy this hobby before investing in them. They're a bit more difficult to play and they are more prone to breaking (especially by beginners who typically hit them too hard).
Those all look about identical in usefulness. They're all going to be much more lightweight than is ideal, but if that's the amount of money you're willing to pay, I guess that's that. You'll mostly be able to stabilize for the low weight with practice, it's not a huge concern.
If you want to stick on Amazon and are willing to go up $10-20, though, reputable independent begleri companies do sell on Amazon as well, not just the Chinese ones.
Welcome to the community! The bead shape of option #2 looks a bit clunky to play with IMO. #1 and #3 both look great, especially #1, which has a size and weight similar to the well-known Titan begleri by Aroundsquare. I would personally avoid #3 because it lacks a rounded top (which might affect the smoothness of play), but if you like it its probably not too big of a deal. I also found this one which has a nice shape and weight.
I've kind of been waiting for this question to pop up...
For hands? Wash hands in cold water with dish soap. Dry with paper towels.
For sticky cord? This stuff, Fast-Fret. On a whim I tried some on one of my crappy DIY rigs and I'll be damned if it didn't work great.
It's mineral oil and wax concotion meant to make sliding your hand and fingers over a guitars (banjo in my case) strings and frets. It works really good for breaking in new cord and keeping it slick and somewhat clean.
It comes with a felt-like applicator that only puts on a very small amount of Fast-Fret at a time, making it really easy to control how slick you want it to be. The applicator also cleans the cord a bit while you're lubin'.
My two cents.
These are actually different in sizing. The ones you linked are 3.5cm. Mine are actually 2.7.

This is the same style I used except I found all 7 for 13$.
As I pointed out below. Mine and the ones linked are 2 different sizes. The 3.5cm will be ~1.4" as mine are 2.7 and is ~1".
When buying these I searched quite a bit til I found a 1" set.
