Thank you so much! I had build up enough points on my amazon credit card to buy the paints. I used an official Bob Ross oil paint set, it was around $100 Pilot-trade Women's Professional... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B013MGLRVY?ref=yo_pop_ma_swf. I also used Mona Lisa paint thinner Mona Lisa Odorless Paint Thinner-16 ounce https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00279I7JS/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apip_nZlGckLF33E9z. For brushes I just went to the hardware store in town and got a couple 2 inch brushes. I know he says not to use synthetic brushes but it was all they had and it worked well for me. Just make sure the bristles aren’t too stiff or else it won’t blend well and look smooth on the canvas. I bought a few different brushes until I found a good one. I hope this helps!
It was our first time really painting so we bought two small desk easels, some brushes, and paint thinner locally and ordered this set of oil paints off (Amazon)[https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B01MZEAJ5W/ref=cm_sw_r_fm_apa_i_9REWCb4P26094]. It worked well though we had to substitute some colours. Theres some really good guides on here for what you need and how to get your canvas ready to start.
They’re just tiny green trees. There isn’t anything wrong with them they just aren’t very strong. I attached the amazon link just for pictures sake but yeah.

This was the first thing I saw this morning, and what a happy start!
I’ve got this framed and hanging in my house so I can see it on my way out the door…
Be kind to yourself and be kind to others!
I'm not sure what it's called but you can find them on Amazon for pretty cheap...
My wife got me the Bob Ross Master Paint Set for Valentine’s Day. I simply followed Bob Ross’ techniques as best I could. wet on wet oil
You can get kits, too, straight from the Bob Ross company, but those are a little overpriced, in my view. I started with this one which is under thirty dollars. But when you're starting, inexpensive oil paints and a little bit of medium is all you need. You don't have to spend a lot, or get an easel or anything. You can just do it right on your table, on top of some newspaper.
What kind of canvas are you using? If you’re using a canvas board the method won’t work. You need to use primed, stretched canvas like this

Never mind, I'm stupid and found it on amazon
Can you order off Amazon? https://www.amazon.com/Ross-R6214-473-Ml-Liquid-White/dp/B000YQKHNA
I think Liquid White is titanium white and linseed oil to thin it. It's not a standard oil paint, which is what makes the wet-on-wet method work. Good luck!
