Have you tried Ardour or the less-powerful Audacity? At the end of the day a music editor is just a tool, it's what you're actually DOING with it that counts.

The site has instructions on getting it set up. One thing to note though is that the launch is pretty finicky about bluetooth adapters. One of the Devs recommend this cheap one, which is known to work fine:

Should be possible to open in VLC and use the mouse to look around, however that's not a great experience.
