Someone needs to follow the whistler everywhere he goes and blow this thing right next to his fucking ear for all hours of the day.
I'll contribute to the salary and for the whistle

There are a lot of places to stay in Statesboro. You should be able to find a place, but if you have problems, Metter is about 15 min. from Statesboro, right off I-16.
Radio streams if you're looking for them:
If you're interested in this kind of thing, it is not hard to learn how to make this kind of site on your free time. I can post resources.
It looks like this site was built with PHP on the backend, and vanilla HTML, Javascript (with jquery), and CSS on the frontend. So those are the things you'd need to learn to get it working. Along with a database to store all the data.
u/DaProf, let me know if you want help with the View Your Bracket. I just made a similar site for an alternative march madness game. Building the bracket in HTML is not fun but this will help: https://codepen.io/aronduby/pen/qliuj
There's a cell flirting with the outskirts of Nashville right now, lightning is probably visible to the spectators, but still outside the delay-radius.

Yea, they moved to this Russian site after they had to shut down in Spain at the new year due to new laws that would allow them to give stiffer fines. Here's an article about it.
I posted this app last year in the app thread and it seems to still be working pretty well this year for college baseball: iOS: https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/sports-scores-customized-scores/id521366178

It is slow to update for some games, but it's the best I've found so far.
No worries. We have a bracket in our office and the newbies win quite a bit.
Just makes sure after you do your brackets here:

You go here and record your submission:

I didn’t have to download anything with this link on my iphone.
- Ever been curious about the speed of a car 🚗 that just flashed near you?
- Are you an athlete in a ball-based sport? And want to measure the velocity of your shot? Or maybe your serve 🎾?
- Do you like challenges? And want to beat your friends at the most powerful throw game?
cSpeed is crafted for you then. It allows you to accurately calculate the speed of a moving object through your mobile. The target can be a car, a ball, a bird, or almost anything.

What do you think?
Wrote a research paper in high school on this topic. Basically just copy/pasted "The Physics of Baseball" by Robert K Adair. Worth the buy and read, if you actually want to understand.

In short, the uneven surface of the ball (laces) flying through the air creates a pressure difference similar to an airfoil (think airplane wing). The various grips and spin placed on the ball lead to different pressures and therefore different actions.
If I had to guess there is more on perspective from the batters stance, how hard the ball is thrown, and probably more. But the above is what I remember from 15 years ago.
The NCAA has an app (with ads) that covers all college sports and has D1-D3 baseball. (I just downloaded it so I don't know how well it will work once the season begins.)
Well I should have posted it earlier but I recommend this book http://www.amazon.com/9-Innings-Hitting-Troy-Silva/dp/1457519577 Troy Silva is awesome. It's more so about the mental part of hitting which is severely under taught. And you talking about male teachers really hit the spot. I went to a magnet school with academics in mind and our baseball coach was the chorus director first and foremost. He didn't start a single game in high school besides senior night. We had the money to pay a good coach easily, but because of our school rule, a teacher at the school has to be the coach unless they all turn it down. It's stupid.
