I used a color dropper extension to pull colors from three different seasonal palettes on Concept Wardrobe. Then, I used Canva to "drape" each color over a VERY make up free picture of myself. The last image in each row are my undertones vs the undertones for the correspond season. Finally, I used the grid view to line them up nicely with each row representing a different season. Two of which I have been between for a while, another of which someone just suggested for me yesterday (clearly I am a woman obsessed with color analysis). I would absolutely love to hear which row you think suits me best! Top is soft summer, middle is soft autumn, and the last row is true spring! I have not yet taken the time to decide which I prefer!
I just found this interesting link when I was searching on the colour me beautiful and freckles. https://www.slideshare.net/MSierraDiazdelAlamo/color-me-beautiful-61009526
What do you mean with "old school method"?
If everything pulls peach (warm), then you could try some cooler colours. They don't have to be greyed - cool just means it leans towards blue (e.g. a cool pink lipstick would pull towards purple rather than red, and a cool red would pull towards pink rather than orange. If you look at a colour wheel, this will hopefully make sense to you.)
I've made a few posts on DIY colour analysis that you might find helpful, such as this one - maybe that could help? I would always suggest to try actual drapes (pieces of cloth, or even coloured paper) instead of makeup. It's not easy going the DIY route, otherwise everyone would have it figured out in no time and there'd be no need for us colour consultants, hehe! It's hard to be objective about yourself, and it's also hard to DIY when you don't have the proper tools (this is one of the reasons why I keep suggesting people try the four season system before jumping into 12, 16 or more - it's very hard without a palette to compare to whether a pale aqua belongs to light spring, light summer, warm spring or a completely different season! Many might find that the four seasons don't capture their colouring perfectly, but it's a very good start for everyone to find their best out of the four).
If you are a winter, which I’m fairly sure you are, we just look better with a stronger lip—typical nudes look muddy and wash us out. I like most of these on you (except 6 & 7), but something more subtle (yet still cool) like Revlon Balm Stain in Honey is really nice for me (true winter). Try a lipstain! You can get a beautiful red that isn't so in-your-face and high contrast. These Etude house lipstains are the best, long lasting lipstains that beat out even benetint for a fraction of the price. https://smile.amazon.com/Etude-House-Darling-Water-RD301/dp/B07QT7KCBP/ref=sr_1_2?dchild=1&keywords=lip+stain+etude+house&qid=1622060678&sr=8-2
They have several great red options with cool tones! I own at least three of these at home and they are my go-to lip color.
yeah it's bullshit that something literally about skin tone and every variation of every color in the rainbow has like one color skin as every example. Annnd i love you in the darker turquoise, the teal, the bright red and the orange and my favorite pink is the first of the three. I've been looking at every color palette comparison of spring vs autumn and now everything looks the same and dskjfsgeorbgu. I think you were probably right about a deep autumn....and the closest i could find to your hue would be Regina Hall, Alicia Keys, Queen Latifah and Oprah. They all have warm golden skin with deep brown higher contrast eyes and look awesome in the red and orange that look so good on you. I also found this and if anyone buys it I think we should just scan upload it to the sidebar! https://www.amazon.com/Color-Guide-Rainbow-Fashion-Beauty/dp/0671693867

It's been a game changer for me as a cool leaning olive. I use it with Koh Gen Do's Aqua foundation, which is a good neutral olive, but just slightly too warm on its own for me.
Sorry, maybe I wasn’t very clear. When I think about people who are “springs”, I think the colors they wear are bright and clear, like water in the Caribbean ocean. Brights as opposed to pastels. Not garish or harsh. Here is just one example of a spring color palette… https://search.yahoo.com/search?p=spring+colors+palette&fr=iphone&.tsrc=apple
So upon further inspection I didn't realize that it was 12 colors and 240 different sheets haha. But I did find one on Amazon with 25 colors. Although now I might go to an art and craft store and see what they have in person. Either way best of luck to you!
Haha, I'm wearing it in several of the photos! I have tried soooo many over the years and am really picky because I just want a natural glow and to not change my skin color by five shades. My top two favorites are Bondi Sands ultra dark mousse (https://www.amazon.com/Bondi-Sands-Tanning-Ultra-7fl-oz/dp/B01N0RG37L) and SOSU Dripping Gold ultra dark mousse (this is a UK brand so I usually buy it on the Pretty Little Thing website). I know the "ultra dark" shade sounds scary but I find that it's actually a more natural, olive-toned color compared to most "light/medium" shades that are often really orange. For a more drug store priced tanner, the St. Moriz ultra dark foam is pretty good! You can get that one at Ulta. Hope this helps :)
