Changes from last post:
Mumei and Calli's positions have been updated. It wasn't fair that I was judging Calli based on her nervous Japanese and Mumei based on just her Twitter Japanese.
Tier descriptions have been made more clear in EN and JP.
Made notes that Kiara and Ina are poised to move up tiers in the near future.
Please note that this list is a bit subjective, with reading ability mattering way more towards the bottom than at the top.
Other frequent questions I got:
____ should be higher/lower!
Your opinion is valid but I think this list matches my thoughts exactly after sitting down trying to gauge these levels several times per person. I do wish this template could have fit more tiers elegantly.
Are you even qualified to make this?
I translated this to JP for the second image. I don't really have any other credentials if you're looking for those lol, but I'm sure if you ask someone who knows JP at a N2 level or above, they'd at least think this list is reasonable.
Where did you make this?
I googled "infographic templates" and found/used canva.com but I'm sure there are others.
I answered most other questions in the last post as well.
You'rs is much better than many covers I've seen on Amazon, but the description is really what stands out to me.
I use a the website canva.com, my reading addiction, and plenty of feedback from my family to make these covers. It's really fun, and surprisingly easy. As a bonus for you, here's a prototype of this cover: https://imgur.com/AkTroMc ^_^
I use Canva.com , a free design site with templates and fonts. They have a limited selection of images that are either free to use, or a dollar. There's also an option to upgrade for more features, such as the ability to add fonts you find elsewhere.

I used a color dropper extension to pull colors from three different seasonal palettes on Concept Wardrobe. Then, I used Canva to "drape" each color over a VERY make up free picture of myself. The last image in each row are my undertones vs the undertones for the correspond season. Finally, I used the grid view to line them up nicely with each row representing a different season. Two of which I have been between for a while, another of which someone just suggested for me yesterday (clearly I am a woman obsessed with color analysis). I would absolutely love to hear which row you think suits me best! Top is soft summer, middle is soft autumn, and the last row is true spring! I have not yet taken the time to decide which I prefer!
You can send mass PPV messages to all your fans. A few photos or a video, and charge money for them to be able to view it.
Use Canva.com to make a cute graphic (super easy and has templates). Do a search in some subreddits for tip menus and you'll find more ideas.

First, congratulations on being able to serve a vegan dish, that alone is pretty cool. As far as reactions go, I think the best you can do is be chill with the fact that the food is vegan. I'm not saying to hide or not mention it's vegan, but rather not make that the centerpiece of your poster. For example when labeling your foods instead of "Vegan kabobs," you can say "Vegetable skewers". But as far as announcing the fact that there's gonna be a vegan dish every day, there's no need to be that worried. Make your poster or infographic and just mention that there will be vegan options. I would include universally loved vegan items on the poster to remind skeptics that vegan dishes are freaking amazing. I would suggest including popular dishes like guacamole, hummus or any type of potato on your infographic.

canva.com is really easy to use and has so many templates that will make it easy for you to share the dish.

Good luck and please tell us how it turns out!

I have used Canva for several years. I know too little about crypto, in general, to have a technical answer, but I know the company is innovative, the website is great, the learning curve is low. If they had something in crypto, I would blindly bank on it, just to see where it goes.
Edit: Oh! I also created my first NFT on Canva.com. I wasn't trying to sell it or anything, but it showed me how I could create my own stuff.
Please, don't design your own book cover if you don't already have a solid foundation in graphic design, especially if you want people to pay money for your book. However, if this book is a hobby project or freebie, then Canva can put together a nice enough cover design.
I used google maps sources to get the map itself, there are many available designs and you can adjust colors and settings, and then I used free canva.com tool to put text and frames on some maps.
I think the best way to promote at the moment without coming across as "spam" is simply by having your link pinned to the top of a twitter profile with a photo of yourself - maybe also including an image that shows your schedule for the month (you can make one on canva.com easily).

So, for example instead of tweeting links daily you're tweeting them once a month and pinning them to your profile instead - then you can post daily photos on twitter, instagram and reddit when you're online mentioning you're "online until ___" or will be "online at ___ until ___" without including a link so it doesn't seem like you're spamming them at all.

This way you can not only set less alerts to tweet but also avoid being "shadow banned" or muted for posting adult website URLS regularly which will likely lead to reaching more people overall.

I think numbers always speak volumes. Number of devices put in the hands of students. Number of times [software/system] has been used. Number of times your team provided support to keep students learning. Dollars used to help kids learn, famiies connect, etc.
Video is a great medium. Infographics are great too. If you don't have a free Pro/Educator account to Canva.com it's easy to get and supports print, social media, video (new!), and much more.
Tell your department's story. I don't think this is wasted effort. K12 IT departments have been hugely pivotal in the successes that have come from one of the most trying periods in education history. Take some credit! Celebrate your people. Pull back the curtains!
Culture eats everything else for lunch and I think this kind of thing can help.
for anyone who wants a trippy sorta label... first go to weavesilk.com, fucking epic little classic. Canva.com is also a damn good thing to use, just gotta create an account (no paying required though, just an email and a password) then good to go. ive used it to make labels in the past, also thumbnails, text images. pretty decent tbh how much stuff is on there for free
Thanks! I'm not familiar with snapseed, but I've been playing around with canva.com (on my computer, not phone, and making sure to use their free templates) to create placeholders.
take a selfie with a plain & simple background
go to canva.com , you need canva pro
upload that photo, click on that photo, click edit image
click background remover. click apply.
then edit image again. go to Shadows. click on glow. click into the controls.
pick the color WHITE. set size 5. transparency 70. blur 2.
play around with it.
Hi there, so sorry to hear about Chatty. Hoping the sweet girl recovers soon and you're able to find the support you need.
One suggestion that might help, though you might have already thought of it, is to hang some posters around your neighborhood asking for support. As you mentioned that neighbors love her, having a QR code linking to your GoFundMe on local telephone poles might help find donors who you're not otherwise connected to.
This Help Center article goes over how to create a QR code, and posters can be made using a tool like canva.com. Alternatively, you can use GoFundMe's poster creation tool, which has tear-offs people can take that has your GoFundMe link.
Warm wishes from the GoFundMe team.
Use 'canva' for your youtube thumbnails. It is a website canva.com that will help you design in a very easy way. Most people won't click on your video because of your thumbnail as it is the first thing a viewer will see.
Sketch, Adobe XD, Indesign, After Effects, Canva.com
Ok so, Here's a few things I noticed from viewing your site.

No favicon, not a big issue, but the text on your browser tab has poor grammar, things not capitalized, and should be a sentence.

Your logo... WTF? Make a logo on Canva with your Name "Ruff Adventure" Not a picture of someone on the mountain.

Your header bar, Why isnt contact us capitalized? Structure it better. Could be "Home, Shop, Shipping, FAQ, Tracking, Contact Us"
And then in shop have a drop down of categories.

Your slides: Grammar is bad in that. No structure and not capitalized, too fast and random pictures with no buttons for people to click through and find products. Display products there.

Blog posts: Should be at the bottom, why are you not immediately showing products. in fact, I would have a about us section there explaining your mission and what you provide. Basically your mission statement.

Products: Create categories, if you were a shopper would you want to be thrown into 600 different products that are not similar? What if I was just interested in solar panels and not rain covers? Why are you showing me all at once.

Import customer reviews from ali with LOOX.

Overall, I'm sure you tried hard, but this is very rushed and bad. One thing you did right is some product descriptions. So keep doing that but you have a lot of work to do.
Canva.com is the best designing tool for people who are not designers. Sometimes you just need to create a customized greeting card or wish someone happy birthday and Canva has been my savior in hundreds of situations.
Another one is Lunapic.com - A full fledged photo editing online tool. It has so many option that you won't be needing Photoshop for most of the tasks. You can do cropping, remove the background from photos, change the format (from jpg to png or whatever), etc.
I'm not a social media guru by any means, but I've found that incorporating visuals into my posts tends to lead to the most engagement. So for stuff like plugging a new story, or hyping an upcoming book release, or sharing news and events, I create some sort of graphic (usually using canva.com) to accompany my text post. People appreciate the visuals and it's fun to think about your media presence in a way that goes beyond just words.
Instagram is where I get the most interactions, and you're welcome to check out my account if you'd like for some examples: @ davidfarrow5734
I'm a new YouTuber too. There is no fixed answer for how long it takes to get a certain number of views. Some have made good points here. My points are:
- Editing - I use ShotCut (which is free)
- Thumbnail - I use canva.com (which is free)
- I make Minecraft videos, so record gameplay using OBS (which is free)
- I use YouTube's in-built music for background music - so no copyright issues
- I include End Cards in my videos - which you can add once uploaded within the YouTube creator
- I have started using social media - e.g. Twitter, Instagram etc. So when I publish a new video I post on those too.
- Be consistent - dont upload a bunch of videos in one go at the same time, then nothing for a long period. I am trying to upload once a week at the same time for consistency.
Oh my god, I'm so sorry. That's really fucked up. Why is it always the bullies and terrible human beings who post about "spreading kindness". They need to learn to practice what they preach, so to speak.
Also, about the editing, I have some tips to make things easier. If you want to make a low effort post (i.e. a photo with captions or even pre-made meme formats) then mematic is your friend. You can get it on mobile and it really takes the misery out of meme making.
For me personally, when I'm making a high effort post (like my hall of fame lmao) I either use canva.com (which you don't need to pay for), or I just download an image to my PC and then right click and press "edit" and use my built in photo editor to make the meme. Hope that helps <3
I made my blog's logo within the free content of Canva.com Granted, it's not professional graphic design but it looks pretty good and served my purposes and probably will meet your needs at this point.
Hello, I am the maintainer of Konva (2d canvas framework) and react-konva (the bridge between konva and react).
Over time I made many apps similar to design editor canva.com. From the experience, I am making a reusable solution.
If you don't know what is it, in short - it is an image editor, where you can do simple image manipulations. Combine some images, put some text, etc.
The idea of Polotno - is to provide a full design editor with just several lines of code.
There is also a way to write your own UI and use polotno as a canvas engine with all core features included: drag&drop, resize, edits, undo/redo, etc.
At the time of writing this, the project is not Open Source, but you can use it for free for non-commercial projects.
I use the following free tools: paint, inkscape (poor mans photoshop I'm told), canva.com. If I don't print at home, I can upload to Grotag and order labels. Pro tip, if you have powerpoint, it's an excellent app to upload an image and get rid of white background (making it transparent). Inkscape is key as one of its features is the ability to increase resolution of any image dramatically prior to saving.
Hi! I'm a social media marketer!
Starting with a Facebook page is a great start! Make sure you have a way to receive payments also set up (Paypal is great and very safe!)
Attracting clients to it is heavily going to rely on the work you put in. Joining Facebook groups for local areas like township "chatter" pages are a great way to make sure your posts are seen. Post videos of yourself doing readings and post them in those types of groups. Also lurking in these groups and checking out what others are posting can pose opportunities for you to self yourself in the comments.
It's going to be easier to find clientele that is "local" even if you do your readings online.
SHARE YOUR PAGE! Share it EVERYWHERE! Every time you post something, share it on your personal account! Engage with people in the comments.
In the beginning, try to post 2 - 3 times a week. Once you get some engagement going, Facebook provides "insights" on how your posts perform which is a great way to figure out what works best and what doesn't!
Also, if you are in need of a cute looking graphic - canva.com is great for making social media posts that look professionally done for free!
Good luck!

Try using canva.com. But I agree with the other user; just keep things simple, high-contrast between background and text, and use unsplash.com for some nice, hi-res pictures. Hope it helps!
canva.com You can make nice cards, flyers, posters and anything you'd normally use photoshop for. But it is free (some images are paid, but you can also upload your own for free) and very easy to use.
I use ShotCut as a video editor. It's free and relatively performant.
To view an example, here's one that released today: https://youtu.be/mOl4DCWMsBk (It's a poker podcast I started with a friend just three months ago, by students of the game for students of the game, targeting non-professionals that want to improve but don't want to listen to talking heads way above their skill level.)
I use Kadence and I like it a lot. Before you pick a theme make sure it's not going to slow down your site and is mobile friendly. Also, go to Canva.com and you can make a good banner for free. The purple background everywhere might be a bit much. Lol. Love your niche by the way. Fellow nerd here :-)
I often find myself using canva.com as it has a lot of free assets. It's fairly easy to manipulate and create the design you want. Plus you can download your creation in lots of different file types. It is a little time consuming as it's a pretty bare bones system (no layers or anything like that) but it will get the job done.
I also like to use pdfescape.com to make fillable PDF forms for online play (given the world we live in right now). It's not the best tool but it will get the job done and doesn't require you to pay. You can make fillable paragraph boxes as well so it's nice for inventory sections.
Us POC creators gotta support each other so I subscribed to you. I really enjoyed your video. You seem to really know your stuff. Pacing and editing and content is all great.
My suggestions for you: You clearly know your stuff, so please turn your voice volume up. We want to hear you :)
Secondly, using Youtube Chapters would be really great here and would help the flow (see what I did there) of your videos because then we know what to expect. It gives structure to your videos.
Lastly, and this is kind of a nitpick and just a personal thing but maybe try using canva.com to make some really cool free intros and banners and logos and other media. Your intro seems a bit on the blander side, but that anime portrait is dope.
That's all I can think of. Really great videos bro. Keep up the great work!
As a person that is totally unable to make great design (my creativity consists of other talents :D), canva.com saved my life. Thay have templates that I can change not to look too similar to others who use it.
Hey!
Whether it's possible to write in other languages or not, doesn't depend on the application, but rather on the font face that you would like to use. Most font faces are made to work with Latin letters, not Chinese, Greek, etc. There are plenty of font faces, though, that do work with Chinese characters. You can find them just by googling!
Although Affinity Designer is relatively easy to get the hang of, and super fun to use, I don't think you should buy it just to create posts for your Instagram. Here's why:
Nevertheless, you can still download Affinity Designer for free with their 30-day trial. Try it out, see if you like it :)

Overall experience:
The signup flow is quite creative! But, it's hard for me to visualize the difference between different options. It would be useful to show some real-world examples for different options in the questionnaire. I have been using canva.com for my side projects, and their preview of the elements has been helpful.
Here is a map of my project the Journey of Sato, a fantasy story. The world is called Korithia, and it is where the story takes place. The text on the image describes the meaning of the Land of Fire, and that same name system takes place for each country, with them all being named by the Celestial of that element.
Hyrata, another of the Basic Elemental Nations, water, has lots of small rivers flowing through it (unmapped) where it's wizards learn to use water.
Each country corresponds to another element, some being a Basic Element, a Fusion Element, or a Special Element.
The map was drawn on paper and then coloured on my PC. The design of the image was made on a website called Canva.

Well, being a science student doesn't matter in skills as long as you are willing to learn.
The Softwares most graphics designer use is adobe illustrator and photoshop. They are paid software.
But if data is not a problem for you you can design with canva.com and web-based version of photoshop, photopea.
Hope that helps you out.
This scam is called Account Takeover. Your email and password have been sourced from the web and the scammer has logged into your online banking account using these credentials. Your username and password won't have been hacked from your bank, but if you reuse credentials (and most do) then the scammers are going to find multiple instances of your 'standard' credentials in online databases. For example, if you have an account on canva.com (recently hacked) they will have your username, password and phone number. It's pretty easy for them to check to see if these same credentials open your bank account. There are Billions of stolen credentials on the web, so they have plenty of options. Once in your bank account, then they need to take control of your phone in order to confirm any transactions via SMS. This is called SIM Swap. And you know the story here. Once they have your SIM, they have all of the data points needed to empty your account(s).
The only decent defences against this attack are:
Sorry man. This sucks.
Fabulous advice, thank you so much! Its great to hear what appeals to people, so I'm super thankful for the suggestions!
I'm glad you like the thumbnails! We used Canva.com to make them - honestly one of the best websites ever, especially as I'm a teacher who needs a lot of worksheets made!
If you have a channel and want any advice, let me know!
I use the lighting from my windows when it's sunny out., coming from the North West around 4 to 6 p.m. If there's no sun and I can't take it in front of the window because it's pretty dark. For clothing photos I stand in my hallway with the light on and the windows open at this same hour because that's when the most natural light is in.
I started using this tool to remove my backgrounds so I can change the backgrounds for both posting on product listings on Etsy and sharing fresh pins on Pinterest. https://www.remove.bg/ For backgrounds I started using fabric flat on my desk in front of the window. You can also use a free tool like canva.com to alter the photo brightness and blurriness/clarity. Do not pay for the full service, but DO take advantage of their free trial. Don't forget to mark your calendar when to cancel, lol.
So for shadows I started taking the photo from directly above with the light coming into my window.

Other ideas include lining a big cardboard piece or something with a few sheets of foil to use to reflect lighting, you can google lighting setups to learn more about this for free. But I'd position the foil boards on the left and right corners of the "front " of the product if that makes sense, so your camera won't be seeing them, and the lighting coming in the window would be reflecting directly off of them back onto the product.

I use <em>canva.com</em> and its pretty good (although it works best on computer) all you have to do it download the images and you can also make the photo any size you want, whether you want a Normal square or a long rectangular one. (But you have to set the pixel count yourself).
Shotcut - for editing; a bit clunky but works well for something free
Audacity - audio recording and editing
Canva.com - thumbnail creation and the occasional element for a video
paint .net- map creation (I'm a history channel)
Pixabay - same as you, but you can also get royalty free video
VidIQ - SEO and YT statistics

I hope it will somehow help to boost your morale: Back in the day, came to this country on a 3-month tourist visa once again, everyday applied online and did walk-in CV distribution. Even though I had a very decent UAE experience in the industry I applied for, which was luxury retail, in 3 months only got a whopping 1 call and that was DAMAC for a real-estate agent position. DAMAC is known to have an open RE agent vacancy all year long just like Pierre Cardin with a 90% discount and its not the best place to work. Fair enough, I went to an interview even if it was not my expertise but sales are sales, the concept is the same. Guess what? failed that. I wasted my 3 months of time, money and energy for a 1 call and had to go back to my home country. Boy that hurt pretty bad! Thank God that was the best thing ever happened. If I was accepted to any of those companies, I wouldn't start my own venture that is 10x more lucrative with complete freedom. Stay strong, I know what you guys feel. Good times are ahead of you. There is a website called canva.com . They have a very good CV templates, Cover letters. Walk-in CV distribution also helps but its just luck. Good luck!
First off, I like the music tracks you chose for your video. It felt to me very uplifting. I guess from a viewers perspective I would have liked you to maybe talk and explain certain things that you did. Maybe thats the gamer in me.... but otherwise I like watching people play so overall it was fun to watch. Idk if you need an intro, but you should have an outro with a previous and or new video there. Its in the editing area of Youtube. its called an end screen, you should use canva.com and make yourself a background for an outro and watch a youtube video on how to do that....i use it in all my videos since it gives the viewer the option to watch more content from you! Hope this helps
Good job... we too are pretty new...so I love to see folks in the same boat. 87 subs WOOO! Hey... we do a ton of our graphics with canva.com... most of the graphics have been free. And it's super easy to whip things up.
Assumption confirmed, you make those beautiful color gradients with photoshop. I need to get it >_< I use Canva.com and I could not for the life of me find how to add a color gradient to my text. Once I get photoshop I may take you up on that tutorial ;) If there is anything specific I can help you with let me know. Sharing is caring as they say :p
If you've got good design skills you might try Canva.com. We use it for FB Ads and some Google banners. Since it doesn't automatically create different banner sizes it's not the best tool for creating full banner sets. But if you want to make a big box and a few other sizes it's pretty easy to use.
We work with many clients. We generally see 2x CTRs from responsive ads over static banners. In some cases we do see better conversion rates from static banners and lower CPAs too. But with the latest version of responsive ads the gap is narrowing.
Hi, basically I am using google maps data ( check mapbox, openstreetmap, mapworks, snazzy-maps, etc..) and when I find the map I like, or I adjust it so that it looks good to me, I upload it to canva.com and there I play with frames, colors, text, fonts, etc.
You could get an entry-level job as a dance teacher for a studio in your area (this would work best if you like kids, since a lot of dance classes are kid-populated), and that would be a great start and a resume builder. You could audition for things in your free time, too - you never know where that will go! The girl who did the interpretive dance as The Bullet in Hamilton was a GMU dance student, so don't stress too much. Keep practicing your craft! Buy a planner to schedule auditions in. Use Canva.com 's free templates to make an artistic resume that stands out.
I REALLY love the YouTube channel idea, and if you make it then you should link it here so we can see and learn a thing or two. Start out with simple and generic things that can appeal to a wide range of people (like stretch routines for people who want to improve their flexibility, "how to slow dance" on super easy mode for kids going to school dances, etc)
Thank you for your feedback, I will definitely try canva.com, despite of that we also thought about keeping it low and don't be too offensive, but on the other hand it would be a good opportunity to share some informations with the people and tell them what carnism does to the world and their body. And if there are people who want to go full fledge vegan during that time (the goal of veganuary) I would love to support them in the best possible way. So a clear statement might be useful, "Our company will try the veganuary, don't stop at home" or something like that.
Hard to not offend the critics. ^^
Getting them fixed certainly is a first and foremost responsibility. Ideally, they need a few days to heal but they don't require anything fancy as far as facilities.
The Florence shelter is really full so if you can avoid leaving them there, that's ideal. I'm excited to see someone in the thread offering to adopt so that helps. See if NLOL can help with shots and dewormer too.
The restaurant should ask its folks if someone could take them for a week. They should also post signs that their patio kittens are available for adoption once fixed as well. Maybe they'll work with you there since you're doing them a solid. Canva.com is a great online program I use for cat rescue marketing material.. you can make some cute flyers if they'll let you post them.
Something blatantly corny..
TACO KITTENS NEED A HOME in "queso" cars and predators! and then some other stuff. If you need sign wording help, I can give you a few ideas that don't suck as bad as queso.
>How important is the description?
Very important, after photos, focus on benefits of the item rather than its features, describe how your item solve a problem, go to amazon.com an check some good listings.
>How many items should you have from the get go? I have like... 25, which I get is really low, but is it too low to launch with?
Doesn't matter, most of the buyers don't go further product page.
>How much did you spend on the logo? I was going to use fiverr, but was expecting to be spending about $10-25. Unrealistic in hindsight, but it looks like this will really eat into my total budget of $300. I found one designer I really like for $45 but... is there another trusty source where I could look for a logo designer, or does $50-100 for the vector file and all sound pretty standard?
You can do it yourself in trial period of canva.com it has nice templates to create a simple logo.
>Is my budget realistic?
Depends how many products you want to test daily and how many audiences for one product, if you advertise on Facebook/Instagram. Start from $15-20 daily for one product.
>Are the default Shopify TOS and Privacy Policy statements good enough for dropshipping?
Check other stores what they have and compile yours.
>Is there anything I'm overlooking? Any common pitfalls to avoid? Here are a few other things I'm keeping in mind or have already worked on so far:
Facebook ads are good if you have a narrow target audience and well designed ads. If decide to run ads, only run desktop and mobiie newsfeed ads.
Also use Canva.com to make your ads if you are not a good designer.
Are you looking for ideas or for the actual creation? If you need help with the creation try Canva.com its free has the sizing for most media already available as a template for you to start with.
There were SO many strong contenders for February, so due to the 20-image limit, I’ll make a separate post later containing another set of wallpapers I made just for Lover + Enchanted, two of my favorite songs as a hopeless romantic 🥰
Feel free to download ones you like! I put my favorites in a folder and have my desktop settings put them on rotation so they change throughout the day :)
Thank you Canva + Unsplash!
(Oh yeah, and there’s 1 random OOTW one that doesn’t have a calendar, it just looked better without it lol)
Just started down this creative rabbit hole myself and wondering if free programs like Canva.com would work for the design and print? You can create and design a small poster starting at $6 which, with a template and design, could be cut down to the correct size for a dust cover. As I mentioned, I'm just getting started on this type of project and I'm sure there's something I'm not thinking of or missing. Thoughts?
stevie g went on a spending spree! (but shit, get someone from liverpool for him!)
if you are writing this down all pretty-like, i say take it into an excel sheet or start using canva.com! i think you'll enjoy yourself.
See if you can identify some of your goals and mix them in with FIFA.
Want to get better at video editing? Save some highlights and go to town. It's actually super easy to make the videos people post on Reddit - a weekend of learning and you have their skills.
Thinking about going back to school for Data Science? This FIFA offers a shitload of post-match data, get in there and throw it into an excel sheet and then throw that into MATLAB and fuck around!
I gotta take my own advice and get back to graphic design. I've been working on teamsheets using Canva.com. It's nice playing Career Mode and making teams and knowing that it's fun to play and then when I want to practice graphic design I have fun shit to work with.
Turning my hobby into fuel for my personal growth is a pretty good play and I think it would also help you.
There's some good content ideas there, you could let the viewers know that they don't need to spend heaps when they can put together a great meal with whatever they have at home, viewers would love that, oh and make sure your thumbnail is highly clickable too, I don't know your experience on thumbnails but if you haven't, check out canva.com, they have all sorts of awesome thumbnail design and template ideas that you can use, ultimately you want a very clickable thumbnail, and then you'll want a catchy title to match! Hope it all goes well for you.
Hey hey :) If you're feeling crafty, you can also check out canva.com and try making your own profile photo / banners. They have TONS of templates and even in the free version you can customize a lot. Canva is my go-to for my Substack and for many other things as well. It's good when you know what you like but don't really have the skills to create it.
You're not getting shortlisted often because your resume looks very boring, at least try to make your resume appealing. You can use www.canva.com for free decent templates to work with. HR people won't even glance at this if you ask me. Also ask someone for proofreading and make your scope of work detailed. Goodluck.
Another free option could be canva.com or placeit.net these have great free options and placeit.net has cool custom end card that will you get more subs.
i'm not OP, but you might be interested in Canva.com - make cool graphics for free(or upgrade to pro). i'm very sure you can make that background(and other cool football visuals) with it! i use the pro version to make team sheets
u/solcrav Tu honestidad vale oro para mi! Muchas gracias, YA LO ESTOY CORRIGIENDO!
Here is what I did/ still do to earn money. Load up canva.com create a few flyers. Save them to a usb stick. Goto a college campus, have a college kid print about 500 of them for like 50 cents. Take them and walk residential areas saying you'll help with chores, cut up downed trees, etc. Get a few people lined up and just work. One neighborhood put me out of a tough spot several years ago.
I use Canva.com primarily for text-based graphics; which is where I customized this timeline infographic template. There are many different styles you should check out!
I have a ton of novels and one full color RPG in print, and I can't draw for crap. What I can do is produce a mockup that a real artist can use to create something amazing.
That said...if you dabble you will improve rapidly. I doodle all the time on my iPad, and have created some unexpectedly cool things over the years.
Before that, many decades before that lol, I used to use notebooks and pencils. My art was always bad, but my imagination was so full of stuff I needed to create. Keep after it. Improve as you can, and then save up for an art budget. It's never been cheaper or easier to meet someone who can turn your vision into reality.
In the meantime look at Canva.com and apps like Procreate if you have a tablet. Being able to make at least a mockup is so useful. =)
There's so much pressure for creators today. Try to find a reason to create for fun and enjoyment, and don't worry so much about the rest IMO.
You don't need to draw, you can use screenshots or honestly just photos (try unsplash.com for free stock photos) that convey the mood of your fic. Add easily readable text (the fandom, the characters, the title of the fic, maybe a very short summary) to the photo with Canva.com (make sure to choose a template for Pinterest, so you'll get the best dimensions), and add a link to your fic.
Don't expect overnight results, it takes a bit for a pin to pick up momentum.
Oof me too. Where to start?
I think a website is probably the first most important thing. List your policy priorities, maybe a few promotional videos, and of course, a donation button. You can do lots yourself with a few $100 and Google Ads, but for the most part, much of your campaign should involve door to door introductions. Know what you care about and know what your community cares about. Don't pander, but be willing to adapt the message for different people.
Your demographic is important too. You don't need everyone's vote, just more than the next guy. How you campaign depends a lot on your target audience. Too broad and you're likely to come off slightly out of touch to everyone who hears about you. Too targeted and there simply won't be enough votes. So decide your brand. People really seem to be upset with do-nothing-corporate-democrats at the moment, so maybe try to leverage that as a more pro-worker-activist candidate.
Besides your political message, assuming it's engaging enough, art and advertisements are important. You want to stand out, but not alienate yourself. maybe skip the generic red-white-and-blue for more exciting an untraditional colors. if you're not a good graphic designer, then hire someone. Most artists who agree with your platform would be happy to get paid. Check out Canva.com. You can make pretty compelling posters as an amateur.
Canva.com, 100% the best and easiest thumbnail helper.
You can even save profiles for each game, so you don't have to re-create them all the time.

canva.com has free assets
veed.io (has watermarks) has vhs, glitch and some cool effects that automatically puts to the vid but free version only allows max 50mb vids
audacity for sound design and editing them with effects
natural readers for voice if you find good ones
maybe voices from uberduck
youtube has audio library in its creator studio that you can use for some music if its like local58 music or something
You are very welcome. You might try looking at Pixabay for royalty free images. You can try Canva for simple graphic design. You pay for credits to buy photo images, or you can use your own. I like using the app GoDaddyStudio (formerly Over) for graphic design. You pay a yearly subscription, however it has more fonts and templates to use for graphic design. I think it is easier to use than Canva. You can add fonts to GoDaddStudio from Google or other font websites.
contractors spend an average of like 3 seconds looking at each CV so the visual impact is SUPER important. make it stand out and also easy to just grasp what kind of person you are.
also, canva.com has really cool layouts that may help :)
On the topic of making better show art, this video is a good primer.
I've found Canva and Unsplash helpful tools for making better artwork.
This is advice about where to design rather than what to design, but If you want to make a shirt of your own, you can use canva.com. They have a free editor that's really nice to use. It's great for almost anything else too. they have stuff for Social Media, Photos, Videos, Presentations, and so much more.
A lot of people use Davinci Resolve, a free software. I am old school and use Windows Movie Maker (though it is no longer supported by Microsoft, you can still use it). For fonts and thumbnails, I have used Canva.com or Pixlr Photo Editor. Everything I mentioned is free but you can always upgrade to pro versions if you like. I get intro music/sound effects from YouTube itself, search under copyright free music or sound effects. I usually download those using an online downloader tool by typing in Youtube to MP3. And I always, always give credit in my video description.
I've gone back and forth on this one. If you've got half an inclination about your wants and needs, it doesn't hurt to poke around on canva.com and see if you can't cobble something together.
Their graphics and photo library is pretty extensive.
Well, you could just use a generic thumbnail for a Livestream or series you stream as changing those can always be done later. There exist a ton of sites that let you very easily and freely design thumbnails too, my favorite being Canva.com.
YouTube is definitely doing a few things for their streaming area lately, and the announcements they have for 2022 sound very interesting
Get them to manage your social media. All young workers are social media savvy. You focus on providing the service, they can help you get the word out. Tell them to use canva.com to create the graphics - it's stupid simple.
Some people love event planning (I'm one of them)... and some people don't! There are things you can do to lighten your load:
- give your fiancé tasks
-don't do unnecessary things like have a registry if you don't want one. It's not crucial to have a registry. Unless you really want one! I'm not having one.
-don't make a big thing out of dress shopping. Just buy a nice white dress, it doesn't even have to be a legit wedding gown, and call it a day. There are some beautiful ones on Etsy. Again, unless you really want a dress!
-don't have bridesmaids-- I'm not! I find the idea too stressful.
-you didn't mention this, but if you want to save yourself the trouble of paper invites, just make a nice little invite on Canva.com and send it out as an email. Or get some made on Etsy or Fiverr.com if you don't feel like doing it yourself. Or just send out a plain old email. Easy!
Basically, don't let anyone make you feel like you have to do things a certain way!
I have no idea about Harry Potter stuff but I watched your video (all the way through!) to check it out and I found it to be very interesting to be able to see this kind of history! And being that I am American with Scottish ancestry, I think I was more drawn to watch.
Regarding your channels "identity" I would say the same about the thumbnail text is a bit too hard to read and when I look at it I think of gift box or a female birthday present, I think it's the pink lines that look like a wrapped up box. Since your channel is about Harry Potter and wizards etc. you could really get creative visually.
I would look into what things, symbols, colors, fonts for example that visually represent your subject and your channel so it would lead you down that direction. It might just be a simple redesigning of your thumbnails that might be the trick to make people start clicking. When I think of wizards I think of magic wands and sparkles!
Think about logos and what would be your ultimate visual representation that you could include in that circle or on your banner etc. and try and play around with whatever you decide on and work it into your videos, that is if you are wanting to redesign things.
I also think maybe the space background might be too "science-y" as it makes me instantly think your channel is going to be about planets and space.
I just wanted to provide some constructive criticism that is only my opinion and from an outsiders view (as in I have no idea about your niche).
Also, if you are not already aware you might want to check out Canva.com There's tons of stuff you can do for your videos with canva its a lot of fun just playing around it there. Just thought I would mention as I have found it to be very easy to use.
Good luck with your channel!
From my experience, I think the Canva app is perfect for this kind of work, especially for removing backgrounds from images,
well anyway .. just go to canva.com, sign up for a trial, then you can decide if it's perfect for you or not,
and if you have any problems or doubts and want to learn more about Canva, you can check out this tutorial on removing backgrounds from images with top apps (including Canva)
ayyy i'm planning a short short making of video in sept cause I've been asked a few times. but the text version is:
- it's all stock footage of galaxies from canva.com - no special fx at all, just dope footage
- cut it creatively on the beats, esp. that green one
canva.com is hecka cool, highly recommended if you need a quick and different video and you have a good eye for stock footage.
Yes! I just used Canva.com. I saw a few STD ideas on pinterest/minted/etc. that were just the date. Those were my favorite and I thought it seemed really easy to do on my own. The front was super easy! For the back, I started with this template, then changed colors, text, and the QR code to our website. Then I used Vistaprint- they had a postcard size where you could upload an image on the front and back. With a coupon from honey, it wound up being around $75 (including tax & shipping) for 250 postcards (they offer 100 or 250, so we'll have a lot extra).
Hey Emilia
Have you tried canva.com
I am pretty sure that arrow is from there. Click elements -> write "arrow" -> scroll down to the white curved arrow and you can change the colour and direction.
You can find free templates on Canva.com. I'm a recruiter and consult people because I know this overwhelms people and I make the process easy and approachable. Unfortunately my website is not complete. If it helps, I have crated a breakdown, the template is available on my Etsy https://www.etsy.com/listing/673440693/resume-guide-3-pg-simple-layout-with?ref=shop_home_active_9
Otherwise, you can find other consultants on LinkedIn and freelance websites. Either way, I hope whoever you choose to help will make the process less daunting. It's really not as complicated as it seems, everyone always has the same issues; too wordy, and not enough accomplishments
Hey so here are my thoughts:
Duration
The duration of the project seems a bit long. According to kickstarter the majority of successful projects have a duration of 30 days or less. They did a whole ton of research, you can find it on their website.
Body
When I start scrolling all I see is a WALL of text. Try to break it up. For example, that data you found try making it into an infographic. In terms of the text itself, it seems alright, but I'm not the best with grammar.
Features
The features section looks okay but seems a bit small. Try splitting it up into two sections or wireframe by wireframe with the text next to it (instead of below).
Story
I love the story section, maybe add a personal photo or something of you on your trips? Maybe with a bunch of friends or strangers. Essentially, a POSSIBLE experience someone could have.
Timeline
The timeline photo is VERY small. I would make it larger. The remaining bits of the page, I would put it all into different infographics/images instead of text for the remaining bits of the page.
Etc
For the remaining bits of the page, I would put it all into different infographics/images instead of text.
Some recommendations for software to use:
Image processing: https://canva.com (It is free and SUPER easy)
I don't know about existing artwork/quotes, but I highly recommend Canva.com for creating that sort of thing. No design ability required because they provide all the cute templates. You could just add your text.
Hi, I'm Cringe Conrad. I do comedic movie highlights where my commentary guides you through a movie and I make fun of as many things as possible while still following along with the narrative! This usually condenses the film to around 10 minutes of "highlights." My latest is Fast & Furious: Hobbs & Shaw:
My thumbnail making process is pretty basic - I go on canva.com and screw around with neon colors and layering. I am really bad blending things together so I just tend to layer without any fading, but I don't think it's so bad people care! Then again my channel is really small so I can't say for certain, lol.
