This is what I use, I like it because it has a mesh attachment:
https://www.amazon.com/Conair-Extreme-Steam-Fabric-Steamer/dp/B006CR9KGA/
That being said anyone will do, if it doesn't have a mesh attachment just stretch some panty hose over it to prevent "spitting". AKA large water droplets coming out. Always use distilled water.
Thanks. I have a press I just bought, haven’t started using it yet
Some questions - why no aluminum metal plates, above and below? Other videos use those. Not saying it is right/wrong, just asking why.
How do you determine the right ‘pressure’ that is applied when closing the lid - what is the Goldilocks zone?
Last, is there plain English translation of the press user manual, that you came across. I struggle with the translation on the manual that came with mine.
I bought this press- 15x15 TUSY Heat Press Machine Pro... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0851GVPFR?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
Thisis the one I am using, purchased from Amazon. It was in a lot of the videos I was watching, and always had good results, and was a much lower price point than newer models, so figured it'd be good for stepping into the practice.
Thank you!
I used the cheapest 12x15 press I could find on Amazon. It turned out to be this one.
I haven't had the chance to try taking ink off a book. I'll check my books to see if I can find any with pen ink and make a post about it, if I can find any.
In the meantime, I recommend watching these videos to see what kind of results one can achieve.
These are the exact ones I use:

I also sanded and polished myself.
Some people use aluminum plates. I know Immaculate Comics sells aluminum ones for pressing. If you use steel ones make sure to not have a humidified comic directly touching the surface, steel can rust. That is why people use aluminum.
I have two of these. They work fine.

Honestly, I've never done that, but I I look into it. This might he helpful.
I never pursued it too heavily, but be sure to post your results, if you do. Good luck!
Oh, I thought I did. Yeah, let's try this one.
If that still doesn't work, just search GoAlpha Garment Steamer
I have a scanned copy that I’ve been reading over and over. I’m wanting to build a leaf caster to fix some of my covers.
The pencil cap form of the plastic eraser will also work well, and may be easier to manage and manipulate in some areas.
