If you enjoyed the Netflix adaptation and are looking to stay in the Anne world, you may enjoy Anne of Green Gables the books, or the Canadian production in 1985 starring Megan Follows.
I was self-taught and the greatest resource for me was my public library! Sometimes the YouTube tutorials felt too advanced as a beginner so "how to sew" books helped a lot. I would have one with me while working on making something from a pattern so that when I came across a term I didn't know yet I could look it up in the books.
Tilly and the Buttons has a book that gives you projects that start at a simple kerchief gradually introduce more advanced sewing techniques, all patterns are included. If I was learning all over again I'd start there.
If you need a sewing machine check if you have a local quilt shop, they might have some used machines at great prices -- check if/when they've been recently repaired.
Here you go I have it from my Christmas wishlist
Aww, so sweet. He’s looking for a spot to cool off during the day.
I’m just going to drop this right here if you want to him to relocate.

This is the dress . I know cause I have it in my wishlist on Amazon
Oh cool! It was a lot of fun. I have a pic somewhere on my profile if you wanna see it. And how was the bedroom one? Would you recommend it? Last summer I started the greenhouse one but I gave up because it was super hard and it was adding to my stress. I might give it another go, though. Another kit I love is this other library one: you can make / write your own tiny books! I wrote a whole collection of mini books (my favorite is one I wrote about a frog :)) They also have a fairy version of this kit, which I bought, but I haven't done it yet. I plan to this summer. Here's the kit I'm talking about: https://www.amazon.com/My-Miniature-Library-Books-Treasure/dp/1786270269
I find the key is to have a great blanket that's won't let water through and is machine washable. I have this picnic blanket and it's been the best buy I've made this season! Otherwise, I usually bring my food, water, and other drinks in a backpack since everything will start to feel heavy if you're going on a longer walk or bike ride and you'll want something easy to carry.
this shirt is my current favorite in my wardrobe I have it in the brown but I've seen it in the black and it is cute as well! I know it is a graphic tee but I enjoy it so much I couldn't not share
l got tired of creepy Google ads too and got this app called Duckduckgo to replace Google. It's a search engine that doesn't track you and blocks others from doing so. Give it a try if you want, I would highly recommend 🌸 https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.duckduckgo.mobile.android
Most welcome. I forgot to post the link.
Not OP but I use one of these to slice my breads: slicer holder thingy.
actually i just found it myself! here it is
make sure to read reviews though, i see people complaining that its shipped in a bag instead of a box so it often arrives damaged
Absolutely look in thrift shops, flea markets, etc. Online, Etsy has lots of good stuff. I also--look, I know Amazon is the devil, but this is pretty cottagecore and it's also my wedding ring. It was about $25 when I got it and it's cheaper now, and it's durable--I've had it since 2019. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00L2YO25M/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o09_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

comes in blue and pink, too- it's currently unavailable but there are dozens exactly like it!
i dont know your budget but you can do any of these for free
layer large cotton tablecloths (or blankets) i like this and this
glass cups, or dollar tree glass vases, use different sizes, fill them with whatever flowers, leaved tree branches, whatever you can cut from outside on the day of the party
just put a bunch of tealight candles on small plates or in glass cups all over the table
put throw pillows and throw blankets on the chairs
let me know if this helps :)
This one seems cute
for my birthday, though i just found it on amazon here, the rest are of the things are all thrifted
I bought it from Amazon. It’s reversible. One side red and the other black.
I don’t know why this person stole my photo but it’s giving me the ickiest feeling.
It looks like Posiepockets is one of those boutiques that gets a lot of stuff from AliExpress, Amazon, etc and then marks it way up. This appears to be the dress OP has and for a cheaper price that $62.
I have the same dress in yellow but not a huge fan of the material.
Aw thank you! 😊
I got the smaller pack I showed from Amazon! https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09NRV55KL?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
The other larger pack with the flowers didn't originally come in that sleeve, I reused packaging that came with some pens, but I also got them from Amazon! https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07R9ZG921/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_glt_i_F4Y966N3XYVR8689NNB3
my sister made me one that was basically a homemade version of this

Idk, I was looking up commoner wear. It like one of those grey linen cross strap aprons, looks more like something for gardening now a days. Like this one apron
This is the quilt I purchased the twin size for $60 originally, I don't normally spend so much for bedding but I really wanted it and spent a year with it on my list before I finally purchased it. It wasn't really worth it in my opinion, but it's pretty. It isn't actually very warm, but it's great for a topper as I'm using it and for California weather.
Sheet set It's very soft and softens more in the wash. It's cooling when you first get in and I don't feel too warm in them, even in 100° F weather. Maintains body heat too.
I have a white comforter under my quilt and I don't remember where I got it. The end quilt is a quilt I received from the Project Linus nearly 12 years ago after my surgery to help correct my club foot. It's very weathered and well loved and it's one of my most precious possessions.
That's actually really helpful! I was using a hardening clay, maybe I'll try polymer. Thanks so much and keep up the beautiful work!
Hi! Just stumbled across your question in my own search for Cottagecore fonts because I'm also getting into increasingly weird quarantine hobbies. I found one called Kiwi Maru on Google Fonts (link) that you can download for free! I also think their font New Tegomin could also fit well with cottagecore imagery.

Thank you! My recipe for the shortcrust pastry (enough for the entire pie) is:
Pastry:
In a large mixing bowl, rub the chopped butter into the flour and mustard powder with the tips of your fingers (it’s important not to overwork pastry or use the warmth of the palms of your hands).
Once it’s a bread crumb like consistency, add the ice cold water, and again, using the tips of your fingers, form it into a bowl, and wrap it in clingfilm. Leave it to rest in the fridge for about an hour.
For the filling, there’s less of a recipe as I did it by eye. Sauté 3 courgettes, 1 leek and 1 onion in butter, until softened, then add as many peas as you like, and about 2 pre boiled potatoes, cut into cubes. To make it a thick filling, I added enough ricotta cheese to make it come together, about 200 grams of dolcelatte (any blue cheese will do), I seasoned with salt, pepper and nutmeg. Leave to cool for about an hour.
I rolled half the pastry out to form the shell and placed it onto a greased pie dish. I didn’t need to blind bake the shell as the filling was so thick and I didn’t think it would make the pastry soggy. I then rolled out the lid, and brought the edges together in a crimped manner.
For the roses: it’s very easy, I just used thisthis cutter pastry cutter.
The last thing I did was hang my gardening tools on the wall. It turned out very neat and convenient. Also placed snow clearing tools behind the barn. The tools do not take up a lot of useful space and it is quite convenient to use them. I wrote a small review.
Hopefully this is allowed but thank you all for your support! Here is a link if you are interested: https://www.amazon.com/Cottagecore-Coloring-Calming-Experience-Featuring/dp/0998156957

There are a bunch on Amazon for really cheap!
If you look up Moroccan style lanterns, you should be able to find more similar styles easily.
Copying from my other comment:
They're Solar lamps from Amazon, hung on shepherds hooks. They're available in beige/grey or brown/copper. Some reviews mention them rusting. I painted them white with Rust-Oleum since there's a lot of night humidity where I am.
I'd recommend a clear coat weather protectant if you're keeping them outside.
I've had them for 4 months, so I can't speak to longevity. They need 8 hours of full sun and stay lit for about 6 hours. If there is too much ambient light at night, they won't turn on.

Thank you!!
I'm glad the bedroom one was fun! My problem with the greenhouse one was the flowers-- there's a bunch of plants you have to make and it was so frustrating. It involved a lot of cutting and shaping and gluing tiny tissue paper. The paper kept getting glued to my fingers and ripping and I'd have to start over. It would take hours to get one plant right!! I love details, but that pushed my patience.
And yes the book making one was a lot of fun! I added some miniature velvet chairs to it, too!
Speaking of tiny things, I'm planning on buying this tiny baking kit. I've wanted it for like a year now but every time I go to buy it, it's out of stock again. I love baking and I love miniatures so it'll be perfect! https://www.amazon.com/SmartLab-Toys-SL322431-Tiny-Baking/dp/B07PF22K81 it comes with tiny measuring cups and baking pans and a recipe book
I just ordered it today! And while I was on Amazon, I learned that the same company had a tiny ice cream kit, so I bought that too. It was too cute to pass up. Here's the ice cream one https://www.amazon.com/SmartLab-Toys-Tiny-Cream-Multi/dp/0760371555
Indie patterns are often much easier and more forgiving that the Big 4. Bridgit Mann does some gorgeous, gorgeous clothes and the’re so easy to make. I don’t do zippers, buttons or darts; so her clothes are lovely. Ruffle-y, puffle-y and inclusive sizing.
Also have a look at Sew Liberated, Patterns for Pirates and Stitch Upon A Time. They’re not all Cottagecore, but its amazing what you can whack a ruffle onto. If you’re feeling brave, check out Alabama Chanin - her stuff is all hand sewn. Her last book has patterns for all of her clothes, and a good guide to sewing all the stitches.
Thank you! Here's the link if you'd like one for yourself. :) I chose the 105cm length for extra flowiness!

Honestly I’m actually really happy with the quality.I was nervous as first cuz there were no review pics, but I was like what the hell haha . Coming from a person who bought clothes off amazon before and even after curbing my expectations I still returned like 90% of them, this dress surprised me. Now it’s one of my fav dresses in my collection!

You’re going to LOVE it!!!
I moved to the country 2 years ago. It is truly wonderful! You’ll be shocked at how happy you become (about a month after the moving craziness dies down!) Seriously. The fresh air, open spaces and sunshine are so healing.
Very smart to buy the items you need while you’re still in town and things are close by. I was glad to buy a couple really sturdy wicker baskets from Goodwill. I use them to carry in garden herbs and chicken eggs plus I take a large one to the Farmer’s Market 25 minutes away. Have a good sturdy colander - I harvest garden veggies right into mine then come in and wash them immediately. I bought heavy duty new pot holders right before my move and I’m glad I did. Every meal is cooked at home because fast food is too far. Kitchen items will get a lot of use!
I use my Behren’s galvanized bucket a LOT more than I thought I would. Carrying water for the chickens, bringing in sticks for the fire place, pecan picking, gathering pine cones to scent with cinnamon oil in December - so handy! (Get the galvanized [smooth], not the hot dipped [bumpy & sharp])
My farmhouse ended up with a lot of glass jar, stainless/galvanized, white, off white, oatmeal and natural wood shades because those materials really held up well to country living. I probably sound silly listing all these things but I honestly use those baskets, bucket and hot pads every single day!
You’re about to start the adventure of a lifetime! Enjoy every minute!!!
Not sure what your style is but if you just go to amazon and type in “garden dress” or “cottagecore” there are dresses that come up that may fit the theme :) hope this helps!
I found them on Amazon a while back here's a link! Scissors
Aww =) I'll be sure to pass it on to the model! I'm the photographer. Here is the link to the dress listing I bought from on Amazon, but it doesn't look like they have it in this color anymore, got it a couple years ago. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01MCVA5UG?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
Don’t know if this is the exact seller I bought it from as I got it years ago but this is an amazon link for it!!
