TREES: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07G7FXY2Y/ref=cm_sw_r_other_apa_i_IXT2EbWX7KX70
.... Do not make tree too tight in toe as it will crease the leather in the reinforced area
No, I always use Bickmore, ordered from Amazon.
Socks won’t help but you should get darn tough socks. They have socks for any and all applications. Best socks anywhere and have a lifetime warranty. Search for them on Amazon.
There was a post a few days ago, someone recommended SB Sox inserts. They have arch support and can take the pressure off the front of your foot. I have them in my cart now.

I just got these because the normal 1/4 slip is still a no-go for as well.
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09DYHPZDY?psc=1&ref=ppx\_yo2ov\_dt\_b\_product\_details
Enough to solve the 1/4 for 4 pair of boots. I stuck mine to the very bottom then put the insole back in. If there is no insole just stick it to the leather bottom.
Problem solved.
By the way, this is not an Ariat thing as it seems most boots do this. Coincidentally my Ariats didn't need the treatment because they don't slip. They are wide square as well and of my most comfortable boots out of 24 pair.

Those shouldn't be doing that if the soles were stitched correctly to begin with, and it doesn't appear that your sole is worn down enough to wear through the bottom stitching. DAP Weldwood Contact Cement is a decent replacement for BARGE cement and easier to obtain in small quantities. It's more flexible than things like the Super Glues and Gorrila Glues.(and nearly every hardware store has it)
Make sure you spread the area first to the the glue in there best, let it dry according to the mfg.guidelines, and then clamp it well. I use binder clips to hold the area together for a day or so.
The ideal thing would be to glue and THEN re-stitch the area. How's your sewing skills ?
I've had two pair now and "Count" pretty much hits it. The only think I'll add is care. I never found them to be much different than other hides except you naturally want to be careful with the scales - especially when you pull the boots off you don't want to pull opposite grain and damage and or ruffle the scales. Always be mindful when you are wearing them that the opposite grain factor exists as well.
As far as conditioner I use Angelus Reptile...
I actually use it on everything because it's so light and transparent in use. I've drenched things at times and it never even began to leave any sort of stain.
Good luck.
Well, I've used this for twenty years on everything in my case. It's completely "transparent" in usage and has never come close to ruining my rough-outs, suede, etc. I use it exclusively.
Actual suede stuff introduces its own problems. Companies have to warn the Bick 5's case because people will slop it on and maybe have issues. I've laid my stuff on napped leather pretty heavy at times. No issues.
Maybe someone will have suede advice for you.
Make sure you use spray. This is very good: https://www.amazon.com/Bickmore-Exotic-Specially-Formulated-Condition/dp/B0167GAN0M/ref=sr_1_3?crid=HORC63KEIRGG&keywords=bick+spray+leather+conditioner&qid=1668545406&sprefix=bick+spray+leather+conditioner%2Caps%2C151&sr=8-3
Technically that's for reptile but it's fine for regular leather as well. You can use the regular spray conditioner but it's expensive on eBay and Amazon does 2 package deal only. It's called Bick 5.
You can see the sole in one of the photos in this listing. I should have taken a pic of the whole sole but just slipped my mind at the time I did these.
What you need are charcoal bags from Amazon.
They are amazing. Amazing.
SO I'm NOT built like you , BUT I have big thighs from cycling and a bit of a dad bod. I really like Wrangler 855waql / 10855waql001 Regular fit jeans (99%Cotton/1% elastic)
Unfortunately, I don't think they make this exact model anymore ( they were made in Mexico)
Those straps are pretty cool. Don't they come with these?

Jest kiddin'. 🤘👍✌️
I have their stingray's. Very nice boots. Yes, that red dye looks great!
My Ariat's are navy blue inside like that. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0964CNJ4L/ref=ppx\_yo\_dt\_b\_search\_asin\_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
I use this on everything and it's always been great, with zero issues ...
Goin to pass on both for these ...
I have a pair and they are beyond awesome.
If you can go to any shoe store...even better, a boot store...I suggest you get sized properly. The challenge is that different toe shape can dictate which size is you may wear for an actual boot, let alone sizes fitting differently between brands. Often, the square, snip and French toes may warrant you wearing a half size smaller, but until you get that opportunity to try on different boots at a boot store, it's really hard to be certain what size you would order, especially if you're looking to do online customs.
For me, I'm a size 11 in sneakers, and a 11D in several major boot brands. Everyone's feet fit boots differently, but if you can't get to a boot store, you can always get your hands on a Brannock device and measure your own feet. You can get a used one on eBay or a new one on Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/Combination-measuring-device-US-sizes/dp/B000X1JHC8/ref=sr\_1\_8?crid=4MSFXAHI8KUZ&keywords=shoe+sizer&qid=1666329551&qu=eyJxc2MiOiI0LjgyIiwicXNhIjoiNC4yMSIsInFzcCI6IjQuMDUifQ%3D%3D&sprefix=shoe+sizer%2Caps%2...
You don't need customs. Try these insoles to "boat" your feet in some. If you don't like these then search "thick insoles" or "heal cups". This stuff is great for fine tuning your boot fit.
If you’re referring you to the heel stack, you can just have the heels redressed by cobbler or by yourself with edge dressing from Saphir https://www.amazon.com/Saphir-Teinture-Francaise-Leather-Brown/dp/B003GC759S/ref=sr_1_7?crid=E0FWVNDYENL8&keywords=shoe+edge+dressing+saphir&qid=1664707413&qu=eyJxc2MiOiIxLjM4IiwicXNhIjoiMC4wMCIsInFzcCI6IjAuMDAifQ%3D%3D&sprefix=Sap...
I only use one they are long enough to go around the top through the top loops so they don’t fall. It works perfect. I used them a lot of some jean that are just a little more slim and boots like ariats that are to wide and works perfect.

I have a similar issue between my feet... instep on my left foot is higher, so a boot is either too tight across the instep for my left foot, or my right foot slides forward. My solution is a neoprene ankle brace -- no laces or plastic parts, just a neoprene sleeve -- that fills up the right boot and makes them fit the same way.
https://www.amazon.com/RDX-Support-Neoprene-Protector-Achilles/dp/B00U02J7YS/ref=sr_1_13 ... I wear it over my sock so my foot doesn't sweat so much.
You can buy a stick on sole protector to extend the time till resole. I use these and they stay on great if your just wipe the sole Down with rubbing alcohol https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09LPZ1QW2?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
I have this one and it works very well. 12 bucks on Amazon....
I've done it myself, but it always looks better and lasts longer when I take to a cobbler. It's usually $25-$30 total at the cobbler's.
Yeah I have about 3 and one is the problem for me to lol I use these and they work the best for me. I pull the loop to the back so you can’t see it and it hidden well.
[16 Pack] 1 x 18" Hook and Loop... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07DBBPNSF?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
You can buy edge dressing but I think it’s to watery and drips easily.. so I use regular leather dye .. It will come with a dauber and for big areas (soles heels) it works well but I use a swab to do the edges.. This is my favorite brand for black..
Angelus Brand Leather Dye W/applicator - 3 Oz ''Jet Black'' https://www.amazon.com/dp/B016QV7XIS/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_H66276E6WQ3AMY8QMMTP?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
Fiebing’s is really good for other colors.. Once you get on Amazon you’ll see all the colors.. chocolate is good for dark brown and Fiebing’s light brown is great on the lighter kind of wood looking heels n soles
I've used Angelus for years on everything and it's a great conditioner.
I have the same boots and I don't think you will soften them. The bumps appear to be what is course and seem natural to the particular leather used. I don't think a conditioner is going to change that.

$170 now but still great value on a terrific made in Mexico boot with amazing quality for the price. Comfortable as a western style boot can get.
I love the matte(-ish) finish! Is that a closeout style? Can't find anything on the TL site that looks like it. OTOH I was able to snag these black cowhide Ferrini Mavericks from Amazon for the low recently.

Get Lexol cleaning kit. It is used by Anderson bean and Rios of Mercedes on all their boots at the factory and doesn’t change the color or boots at all and leaves a nice finish. Make sure it is the one in the link and not the “2 step cleaner” or the spray as those are different.

DO NOT USE SADDLE SOAP. You run the risk of ruining the boots by drying them out. I use the lexol cleaning kit with the orange and brown bottles. This is what Anderson Bean, Rios of Mercedes, and Olathe use on all their boots and it doesn’t darken or change the color at all of the leather. I highly recommend it. I use it on everything from bison, to full quill / smooth quill ostrich, to caiman belly and my boots all look amazing after.

You're not a kid then. LOL Sooo, here's a (long) link to Cinch Jeans on Amazon. Some are stacked, some aren't (Depending on what color you look at). When I see the ones that aren't stacked, I assume that's an old man wearing those jeans and boots.
The Medium Stone and Medium Stonewash jeans are how most people who are actual cowboys, ranch hands, etc, wear their jeans. The Dark Wash inseam is how the old men (Boomers) who own cows but pay other people to take of them around here wear them.
There's no reason for you to have to buy weird fits in jeans to get the right length when men's jeans come in waist x length.
i have the opposite problem, the instep is always too tight. i envy you, because it seems it's much easier to fix a loose instep than a tight one.
put these under whatever insole you are using.
these aren't actually insoles (as long as i'm not linking to the wrong item). they are just extra cushion that i wear under my other insoles. they're about 1/8" thick.
I already have some wide square toe boots and like them fine, just have been eyeing something like these Ariats https://www.amazon.com/dp/B013IYU2MA/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_fabt1_CGYSFbCMZPWB6?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
Correct me if i am wrong but wild gator will likely more imperfections. Probably not many. Also far raise may be more supple, since they won't build up muscle.
Also i saw a picture of the lucchese rio on amazon it appears those are not made with lemonwood pegs. As such are more machine made rather than craftsman handmade.
The price difference is due to the craftsmanship on each.
I could be wrong though. So feel free to correct me.

In that case give the Scholl’s orthotics for heel pain a try, nice and soft with minimal arch support but fills out the heel area. Don’t pay any attention to the pain relief part, they are just great quality comfortable insoles.
Make the top of the boot shaft narrow to stop it happening. Bit of hassle but means you can still wear the same jeans. Some people do it with tape or elastic bands. But best is these...
My recommendation would be to spot stretch the boot just in the precise location you have the problem. I’ve linked to one on Amazon. It’s a boot stretch but then you can place adjustable “bunion plugs” in specific spots to stretch the shoe at specific painful spots. It’s not cheap but once you have one you can use it on all and any boots and it’ll last for years.
I got a Boot Butler on Amazon that stores 5 pairs of boots off the ground. I have those plastic boot shapers that are just a sheet of plastic in them, too. I just wish this boot butler would work with my cedar shoe trees. Otherwise, I really like it.Boot Butler
Just got a pair of these! https://www.amazon.com/Nocona-Boots-Mens-MD2702-Inch/dp/B00AAUS5C0 Comparing to Lucchese's they are looking just as nice to me. Leather is stiffer, but it's a 200 versus a 400 dollar boot. Of course, I just got them, so they are not even broken in yet, but I am very happy so far.
