DigitalOcean has a good and easy to understand list.

Also Ubuntu wiki has some general user based advice for staying secure
You can download Debian installation images at this link and then create a virtual machine image from that using VMWare Player as shown in this tutorial. Personally, I have never really used Debian before, but if I'm not mistaken, they have a lot of the similar Terminal commands, so hopefully, it won't be too hard of a transition.
VirtualBox is supposed to be pretty good.
Also, in case you haven't gotten to that part yet: There's a Mac Host Computer Participation Guide (unofficial): https://s3.amazonaws.com/UserGuides/CyberPatriot+-+Mac+Instructions.pdf
Sorry, it's true I've only used EC2 for typical Debian installs, however I was under the impression you could use EC2 Import/Export to import VMDK images into EC2. Compatibility issues?
>In electronic communication, 'polling' is the continuous checking of other programs or devices by one progam or device to see what state they are in, usually to see whether they are still connected or want to communicate.
So that would make CurrPorts a polling tool as it continuously checks which ports your computer is using.
This is useful in cyberpatriots as it can help you find network activity that shouldn't be happening. Often times this can lead back to some malware or something and get you a point.
This is a very complex solution, I would look into downloading Windows updates to your host machines instead if you haven't already. Our team has successfully used WSUS Offline Updater.
Did a quick google search, found this: https://lbry.com/
This is what Wikipedia said about it: LBRY is a blockchain-based file-sharing and payment network that powers decentralized platforms, primarily social networks and video platforms. Video-sharing websites such as LBRY.tv and Odysee are decentralized alternatives to YouTube.
Well, you got a few options, I would personally recommend this computer. If mind have a worse computer with a 4-year old processor, I would go for this one. Even though it's really old, it should last 2-3 more years.
