If you are so smart, get a vm and visit the website yourself? http://www.isitdownrightnow.com/goes.gsfc.nasa.gov.html https://safeweb.norton.com/report/show?url=https%3A%2F%2Fgoes.gsfc.nasa.gov%2Ftext%2Fgoes.fulldisk.html Looks safe to me. I guess Norton is in on the conspiracy now?
See my explanation of how digital cameras work. To get a desirable resolution image of the whole Earth disk for analysis purposes, you would need either a huge sensor area, or a pixel density not achievable using current technologies. Instead, the camera field of view is narrowed - basically zoomed in and many images are taken. These are composited together to display, but composites themselves are not really used when creating the data products 9- like weather forecasts.
