Pattern cutting is just one part of a very diverse field. You could definitely get yourself an internship in design and you'll pick up other bits of the industry during your time there. If you want to better your pattern cutting I'd recommend getting this book https://www.amazon.co.uk/Pattern-Cutting-Lingerie-Beachwear-Leisurewear/dp/140511858X/ref=mp_s_a_1_1?dchild=1&keywords=pattern+cutting+for+lingerie%2C+beachwear+and+leisurewear&qid=1626597796&sprefix=Pattern+cutting+for+ling&sr=8-1 It's got everything you need on how to draft your own pattern blocks in a way that is easy to read and follow. Im obsessed with this book.
