There are a couple outdoor running tracks at the Mary Washington Battlefield Athletic complex. There's a small oval one about 1/4 mile around, and a bigger one that loops around the whole complex and is about 1 mile.
There's also the river path that runs down the canal downtown, past Old Mill Park, and by the river. It's about 3 miles (a little less than a 5k) and is a really nice run. https://www.alltrails.com/trail/us/virginia/heritage-trail-canal-path-loop
Yes, this is the one I used for years while living downtown as a single female and never had any safety concerns. Lots of families go to this shop. Plus, their machines take cards so you don't need to worry about amassing quarters. There's a limited amount that takes cards and sometimes on busy days eg weekends none of the card machines are open, but this was rare for me.
There's also a machine that converts bills to cash if you prefer cash.
Also, if you're willing to invest a hundred bucks or so, you should look into buying a small, portable washing machine with a spin dryer. You need to air dry but it's super helpful for underwear and socks, or for washing an outfit or two if you're too tired to go to laundromat: https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B01MAVR8UW/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_glt_fabc_QQ4M9DHQPC4XD9ET9X7P
Fredericksburg, VA Noise Ordinance + $20.00 Db Meter could get you somewhere.
You can do a manual scan for devices using the app Apple created for Android devices here: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.apple.trackerdetect
Keep in mind the app doesn't automatically scan and you have to manually open the app and scan if you suspect you're being tracked.
IOS devices should automatically tell you.
Shaded, paved, benches along the route for a rest. Not many people anytime of year. Great spot.

The Ni River trail is a woodland trail. It's fairly long but I've never measured it. I know that recently they had to re-route the entrance and I have not walked it since that happened. During hunting season, they close a section of the trail. This map isn't accurate because the trail to the right (East?) is actually two loops, one longer than the other. The trail along the river is an up and back section and that is what closes for the hunters. I took my dogs there to walk. I think some mountain bikers also use it occasionally. I've never seen one but I do see the tracks. There are free 1.5 hr guided nature walks by the Virginia Master Naturalists every month on the second Sunday at 9 AM. https://www.alltrails.com/trail/us/virginia/salamander-loop-trail
The trailhead can be found at 8110 River Stone Drive, Fredericksburg Va. 22407 (next to the Spotsylvania School Board building), which is located off Jefferson Davis Hwy in the River Run Business Center, across from the Massaponax High School. Look for the Ni River Trail sign directly in front of you as you turn off of Rt. 1.
