Made the transition about a week ago. Liking it so far, though the contrast of a realistic face compared to the cartoony ones can be a bit jarring at times.
The only people you should be asking assistance from is iMVU support.
To my knowledge it is impossible to permanently delete items from an account unless you are IMVU staff (And they will often, but not always, send you a message when they do).
It IS possible, however, to Hide items from the imvu client. To show these items, go to your web inventory here, locate the hidden items, and click "Show".
I am not sure if Imvu support will be able to recover your friends list, but it's worth a shot I guess. It might also help to post on your Interest/Profile card that you were hacked and request that your old friends contact you/send you friend requests again.
IMVU Terms Of Service strictly prohibit this activity.
"You may not sell, transfer, give, or otherwise surrender your account or account password to another party. You agree that you will not use other users' contact information gathered from this Service for commercial purposes and agree not to provide any other user's contact information to any third party."
You can read the full TOS inside the below link.
For this reason I have decided to remove this post since we do not support any illegal activity on IMVU.
It's possible that you were used by a bot, yes. Deleting an account is not exactly simple. First, in your account, you should change your password (as well as your email password). http://www.imvu.com/catalog/web_myaccount.php If you want the account disabled, you can submit a support ticket from the Help tab at the top of the page.

I'm sorry that I'm just seeing this.

I spoke with someone in support to get the link since I'm on Windows myself. I was assured it would contain the older Classic version.
I hope this link helps you out.
In that case they should of gave you a warning first like they do other members, I wonder if it has something to do with your join date or something, I'm not sure if anything I say would be helpful but you should bring that up, I went ahead to copy and paste what they told me
Thank you for contacting IMVU! I'm sorry to hear that your account was placed on hold. Don’t worry, I got you! Upon checking on your account, our record shows that your account has been put on hold because of abusing the managed partner offers for the purpose of earning credits. I do feel your eagerness in getting your account back. And I know how dear your account is to you. As a onetime courtesy, I will be removing the suspension from your account for you to be able to use it again. Please refrain from doing this again, for further violations will lead to the permanent disablement of your account. To learn more about all of our policies, please visit our Policy Hub using the link: http://www.imvu.com/policy_hub/policy_hub.php We have a library of Help Articles available on our website. To find answers to your most important questions, just go to http://im.vu/help-articles
And I do feel like there is something faulty in their system too, when my friend told me about the email they sent her it was a little crazy to me because I've been earning credits on there for years but after looking up related issues on their forums it seems to be happening to a few others as well.
You sound like you have never read the fine print, ever in your life.
Heres section 4 from it
And here is the peer review HOw to, straight from imvu

See? Even IMVU says wine is for grown ups. If I see a product with wine, and mark it for alcohol. I am right. period.
You have to be an iMVU creator to have the ability to create items. There are a few tutorials iMVU put out as well. I don't personally know how effective they are, but it's something to start with at least.
We are not imvu we are just a community that loves to share information about imvu. For support on your account being hacked please read the following...
> cancelled my subscriptions and retracted 2 of the payments with a claim saying I hadn't received what I had ordered.
I had an issue like this with another web service. Paypal is VERY good at getting the Buyer's money back (Some would say unfairly good) but if you are unable to get a hold of anyone, going through paypal will be your best bet. It might cause issues in the future if you ever try to use paypal to perform transactions with them again, however.
Have you tried the "Self-Service Support" tickets? [link 2]
EDIT: Nevermind, just saw that you obviously tried what I suggested (My bad). Other than going through PayPal, perhaps try again later, or make a forum post about it on imvu's forums?
I know of a better top but I cant find it.
I will keep looking for it. It's one of the best items I own.
In future if you want suits then look at the users Timberland, GoodLife, Blazer and Tuxedo. I think one of them has been deleted but you may still be able to buy their stuff. I'm not sure. I'll add to the list as I go.
Hi! Make sure you are on the official IMVU page and not some other page.
This is the proper link. You can PM me if you have further issues with this. :-)
Alternatively try this direct link.
Please follow these steps...
Once these changes are made please reply to this comment and I will approve this post if it works fine.
Edit : Changes were made before I commented. Sorry for not checking. Really nice profile image.
It was because it got so much bad press from the userbase and was very buggy, here(1) is a link to a thread that IMVU posted on the day it was removed.
