An interesting bootleg. Same material as Woke Up This Morning And Found Myself Dead. The info on Youtube is inaccurate - apparently it was recorded at The Scene, with Buddy Miles, Randy Z (drs) and Randy Hobbs (bs). The latter two were in Johnny Winter And. Plus Johnny and, of course, an inebriated Jim Morrison.
Maybe the estate knew that the movie was based on sketchy source material by a director/screenwriter who was more interested in lurid story than accuracy. I read an interview where he was asked about the factual inaccuracies involving Jimi's girlfriend Kathy Etchingham, and he replied that it wasn't his problem. It was her job to correct the record. A rather novel approach to biographical film-making, you could say.
EDIT: “She’s got every right to dispute it, but she’s got to dispute it with the people who originated these stories.” Hey, it's OK if I repeat lies - as long as I didn't say them first. Uh, fuck you. And she did dispute it with those who originated it: "She took legal action against the publishers of the book, which was pulped in the UK..."
Half off at the moment, I'm sure you own quite a few already but never hurts to own a few more.

Check eBay and discogs. They may have cheap copies of this.
No. The non-pro B&W footage is all we'll get. The audio was the only thing that was pro-recorded.
>Jimi Hendrix: Band Of Gypsys Live At The Fillmore East [the DVD] features the only known footage of the group in concert. All of the existing black and white video footage of the group s January 1, 1970 first show is presented in its original performance sequence. WHO KNOWS MACHINE GUN THEM CHANGES POWER OF SOUL STEPPING STONE FOXEY LADY STOP EARTH BLUES...
I don't know if there's a dvd of this hi quality video. The one I have is a somewhat grainy version of the original unreleased movie - but the sound is great! Here's a few screenshots.
The only complete version is the Box Of Gypsys bootleg.
There were three tracks on a legit release called Band Of Gypsys 2. Looks like these versions of Foxy Lady and Stop (which is great) are otherwise unreleased.
With the release of the complete first show, the following will remain unreleased (I think) - 12/31/69 2nd show: 10 tunes; 1/1/70 1st show: 3 tunes; 1/1/70 2nd show: 2 tunes.
Do you think this type of buffer would work out than a bigger one like the boss pedals?
That box set on vinyl is $112.99 at Amazon so grab it here.
Actually he had his guitar stolen. According to a book by Jas Obrecht - Stone Free in 1967 after playing at a pub / music venue in some english country village a roadie came up while Hendrix and crew were having drinks at a table and announced that one of his strats had been stolen. One witness said Jimi was relaxed and not bothered. However a conflicting account quoted the owner of the venue as saying Hendrix went 'beserk'.
I think Steven Roby covers all this in his book. https://www.amazon.com/Black-Gold-Lost-Archives-Hendrix/dp/082307854X/ref=sr_1_3?dchild=1&keywords=steven+robey+hendrix&qid=1613320362&s=books&sr=1-3-spell
Jimi Hendrix: a Brothers story this book is written by Jimis brother Leon who was the only sibling who really knew him growing up and they were very close. Dives a lot into his early childhood and what influenced him. Pretty mind blowing he was in jail when hendrix died and didn’t get a cent from his sister Jamie for royalties.
If you’re thinking of somehow profiting off it, I highly suggest snagging one of these. It digitizes and restores old photo prints!

Considering how long ago this video was taken many of the pieces he's wearing are either discontinued or way too expensive to reasonably afford.
Here's his hat though.
I was lucky to find as I am led to believe that these are the only ones that have been on the market in, ever really. I thought I would post it and see if anyone had seen it before. Here’s the link but there is one left so good luck all! He claims they are original 1971 prints, not sure about that but this was the only place I could find it. I've read about 5 of his biographies so I don't really buy into the content (I'm not sure that his father paints a true picture of the relationship and childhood), but pictures are amazing.
Not what I'm looking for. The Winterland single-disc streaming version contains these tracks:

There's a good section of Hendrix: Setting the Record Straight about this.
When you're done with that I can upload the Curtis Knight live collection, that's just the Curtis Knight studio collection.
Some of this stuff is also getting an official release for the first time ever this month: Amazon
