Unfortunately not that uncommon. Probably screwed, it's only going to get worse. There's a lot of people who have done a mod (that they swear is easy) of replacing the connector with an XT-60 plug.
If it's still in warranty, absolutely make Juiced fix it, or pay you something. If they get you a new one, put an elastic strap (I use these ones) around it, as it seems to be the rattling from riding that makes it start arcing.
Look up a video on the XT-60 swap, or maybe skim through this one: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oq31UKj44RU
Get the 5 foot 10mm Kryptonite Evolution 1016, and two motion alarms. Attach one to the chain and hide the other alarm on the bike. Turn them on whenever you're gonna be away the bike. The chain is approved by the lockpickinglawyer (best lock picking channel on youtube) and the alarms will serve 3 purposes: let everyone around you know the bike has an alarm when you leave it, scared the thief as soon as they touch the chain and will continue loudly ringing while they struggle to cut it, and loudly state the bike has an alarm anytime anyone slightly touches the bike. While it's impossible to 100% stop a determined thief, most will move to an easier target. I do deliveries with a hyperscorpion and have never had a problem with this setup. If you want to be extra safe, talk to your renters insurance to see if they'll insure the bike.
here's one on amazon, it's available in a 54T, 56T and 58T. I can't speak for quality, but it's pretty cheap so it's probably worth a shot.
The math on gear ratios is pretty straight forward. So in the highest gear, your ratio is 52/14 = 3.714:1
54/14 = 3.857:1
56/14 = 4.00:1
58/14 = 4.143:1
compare that to just normal gear shifting:
52/14 = 3.714:1
52/16 = 3.25:1
52/18 = 2.889:1
Some people don't like the look, but you could very easily put a stem riser on there. Basically you just take off the stem, put on an extra piece of pipe (for lack of a better word) then mount the stem to that.
Will be six bolts total, and you're done, provided there's enough slack in the brake and shifting cables and the wires.
Something like this: https://www.amazon.com/Delta-Cycle-Bicycle-Extender-Handlebar/dp/B000FGYKWS
There are these clips for fishing boat seats that I am looking to use for a quick release rack. Work in progress. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B004RDP718/ref=cm_sw_r_em_api_glt_fabc_F8GZT96TJESWXRJFXWT9
This is the answer. The Noose is a very tough solution and even a grinder in perfect condition on a vise take 3min to cut minimum. The smaller U is resistant to power hammer strikes too. I use the 1213 4.5' 9 pound model and a cheap but thick cable lock. The Noose is frame and rear wheel then the cable is front tire to crank sprocket. It's a 11 pound system so plan how to carry but this will make you the least "easy target". The 1213 will also easily hook 2 bikes up in most situations.
Did you get your switch? I did. Everything has been plug-n-play except the wire from the new battery to the switch. I didn't have a soldering iron so I just bought an Anderson to Xt60 wire on Amazon. 8 bux. I am supposed to get it today.
There are people who have replaced the front fork for a suspension fork.
I bookmarked one of the forks someone said they used: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08LPWY918
I'm interested in doing this, but I got a seatpost suspension and I'm mostly happy with how that is working for me.
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09CKDXXVT?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details
I'm using this one, it works like a champ. I do have to unplug it before I reconnect, or it won't start charging again.
I would start with everything stock and see how it feels. Then maybe swap out the seat first. I bought a sorta goofy looking seat that had springs underneath but its way easier on my bony butt. Then a suspension post if the ride is still not cush enough. Then maybe a stem down the road.
The 350mm post is plenty tall. I would get that instead of a 400mm because it can only go so deep into the frame meaning it can only go so low as far as seat height.
Here is the stem I bought.
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08MBVZJ19?ref=ppx\_yo2ov\_dt\_b\_product\_details&th=1&psc=1
Gotcha. It doesn’t look like it has mounts so you’d probably need a seat post one
Actually.. I'm guessing this might be the set that you need:
https://www.amazon.com/Bafang-Motor-G060-750-G062-1000-Circlip/dp/B0B14K1WPC
I'm basing it on the G062.1000 motor since that's also a 1000 watt motor.
Can you take a picture of the worn out planetary gear? I wonder if they are all the same 36T that is sold everywhere. If it is, you could theoretically just buy some off Amazon for cheap.
https://www.amazon.com/chuancheng-36Teeth-Planetary-Bearing-Bafang/dp/B07W6PSKGS/
I've tried everything for the rear tire removal (flared end wrench, gimmicky crap, etc) the two that work are the expensive Juiced wrench, or this super cheap, really compact... thing: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07TXYSP7Y/
The wire slips all the way through, and it works perfect.
I cannot confirm the fit, but someone else shared this as a possible front fork upgrade.
Not the hardest install, but watch some videos. Some specialized tools (not required) make installation easier. Also it doesn't come with the star nut, and it is a spring fork instead of air suspension.
This is exactly what I do. It looks great and makes the bike very visible. I got this splitter https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07CKQSTCB?ref_=cm_sw_r_cp_ud_dp_EHSBNNM54WWSMG4EV24P and I use two color changing strips that were $5 each at 5 below. I keep the usb zip tied to the wiring harness for the light. I never paid attention to the power specs but it works great
So here’s the deal, I think I may know what the part is. It’s a motorcycle headlight mount. So you have to measure the diameter of the tube which is about 34.3mm, so a 35mm motorcycle headlight mount is what you’re looking for. headlight mount
It’s likely I’ll just resort to something like this.
While I don't have the RR, I put these for my RCS and highly recommend:
I was recommended this one by someone on the Juiced HyperScorpion Facebook group. I’m guessing it should work with the HyperScrambler as well. https://www.amazon.com/Puig-0869N-Universal-Windshield-Headlight/dp/B00GA3B6SQ/ref=pd_aw_ci_mcx_mh_mcx_views_0?pd_rd_w=R2fyN&pf_rd_p=e5699754-bce3-498f-98d9-09d15dd4e225&pf_rd_r=NQ0DWNV326AR2F6W3DXG&pd_rd_r=d46b47db-337d-4371-86a1-b91b...
No worries! If you want to go the route I did, all you need to do is buy this:
And this: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0863PGH6B/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_i_Y0GW4QMP3KBW7NHW0KBV
Plug them in, and make sure to never, NEVER, FUCKING EVER turn them both on if one is charged and the other isn't. I make sure to ALWAYS turn them both on & both off at the same time, and always charge them simultaneously.
If you avoid that warning, worst case scenario is one battery will very, very quickly try and discharge into the other to balance things out, creating more than enough heat and pressure to give you a permanent unpleasant memory.
I found this cargo net to be a great bargain and easily available. So far it keeps my backpack in place or a bunch of grocery bags. Good enough for now. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07TC1D8WY
The battery connector is a known weak point on the bike; it's pretty common to see a recommendation on EBR to put an elastic strap around the battery, as they can rattle, lose connection, and arc. There's also videos on how to swap the current connection with an XT-60 since they so commonly go.
I would take the battery out, inspect the port to see if you see any evidence of arcing (corrosion or charring, anything out of place, really) charge it off the bike, put it back in, and put an elastic strap around it to hold it firmly. See if that helps. If it does, consider just running with the strap forever, or upgrading the connection.
I use these straps: they were recommended by someone else and they work well, I'm sure there's a million you could use. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07XCBQSQF
Sure! Here's a link for what I bought. https://www.amazon.com/Satori-Heads-UP4-Adjustable-Extension-Handlebar/dp/B089VS8GGN/ref=mp_s_a_1_8?crid=23TTNIUCN4RIJ&keywords=stem+riser&qid=1642214040&sprefix=stem+riser%2Caps%2C126&sr=8-8
Works great and blends in so well you'd honestly think it was OEM for the bike. Nice part is the ability to adjust what height the handle bars are set to based on the amount of spacers you use. You don't run the risk of over straining the brake, throttle, and gear cables.
For what it's worth I got these recently for my hyperscorpion and they work just fine.
For what it's worth check out juiced bikes YouTube channel regarding what to consider when replacing brakes.
TEKTRO E10.11 Organic Compound Disc Brake Pads 2 Pack, 2 Wheel MD-M500 https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0892JSP8V/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_glt_fabc_P7AMY23ZCRNM4B7BJCW8?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
I’ve tried this. It worked great and all, but I realized it didn’t really fit my lifestyle. Before this I had different backpacks that I grabbed based on what I was doing each filled with stuff(one for work, one for gym, etc.) and I found swapping stuff was annoying. So I switched to this. It’s basically like having a flatbed, I just toss whatever bag I’m carrying in there, and it’s nice and flat when nothing is in it
So I had this on a few of my Juiced Bikes (I own almost every single model except the yellow one). What your gonna want to do first is make sure all the bolts are tight on the battery housing on the bike. Once you've done that, check the same for the battery. Once you've checked that, put the battery in again. If the problem still persists, just give the battery a bit of knock with your hand to push it all the way in, don't be afraid to give that hit some power. Once you've gotten it as far as it goes, make sure to buy 24 inch velcro straps. I am including the Amazon link here for you, so there's no guessing game. Make sure the battery is in as far as it goes, and then put 2 straps on the battery, 1 being at the most top position on the battery, and second being on the bottom to give it a firm lock. I agree with others, if you just let this battery just stay in the bike without the straps, you will end up having the battery burn out at the connections. Here is the link, Good Luck!

I got this one off Amazon for my ccx based on someone here's recommendation. No issues so far, but have probably only done ten cycles or so. I use it with a timer outlet to be able to charge to roughly 80%.
I got put motorcycle frame sliders in the rear foot peg holes, which I can then hook a motorcycle stand on to at least lift the rear wheel. Note this works on a HyperScorpion but should work for you too.

My personal experience is that if you are going to put a battery in this, as I have, the Juiced Relay Rack is a must. The metal plate is great for the stability of the cells
I just grab a set of these for my Hyperscorpion.
Duro HF319 Front/Rear 4 Ply 3.50-16 Classic Vintage (K70) Motorcycle Tire

For my Hyper Scrambler I went with the 244s! Awesome tires!

Well that sucks someone would do that! This is the top cap to your headset. I THINK you can technically ride without it, but probably not great. If you ever loosen the stem, you'll need it to re-tighten the headset bearings. I saw a YouTube video where they tested different sealers and this one was the best.
I use this. It is a little costly, but a hella lot cheaper than replacing my bike would be. I just slide it through the frame behind the seat on my Hyperscorpion when not in use. https://www.amazon.com/Abus-Granit-X-Plus-540-Lock/dp/B06XNX42G4
Can vouch for the motion alarm - it's LOUD and gives peace of mind.
I got he Foldy lock- it easier to store on the bike
Hey there, I modded my Camp Scrambler with 9" rise handlebars. My riding stance is much less aggressive and more laid back. It is the tallest you can go without having to lengthen the wires. You will need to purchase a shim. Here are the links:
Handlebars
Shim size 31.8mm to 25.4mm
Hope this helps!!
I tried two, both short, both side-mounts: Neither worked. Neither was that close to working. . . one was this: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01MG7E9RY
I'd try what /u/guitarthrower suggested, unless you have an XL frame (and even then) I don't think anything is going in the triangle.
OIL THE CHAIN. This will also passively oil the cassette. What I do is :
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08Q9D2BFR/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
After this, the oil passes onto the cassette, and you'll notice that everything is quieter, and your chain is now freshly oiled to boot.
I have a Juiced Ripcurrent S. Worked great after my first season, now it's like new + 900 miles.
This is what I got. Get a regular cage and mount to top of top tube

Thanks for the thoughts.
I'm going to get this for a simple back fender
https://www.amazon.com/Zefal-Swan-Bicycle-Fender-Black/dp/B000NORUBK
Any recommendations for a front fender?
I have these and I've been very happy with them. I mounted on my handlebars, and a second one above my top bar (just under my seat, which is tough when I stop at intersections). https://www.amazon.com/Topeak-66008009-CageMount/dp/B003SOROKE
Totally agree with everything here.
Mirrors are trash and I didn't feel comfortable in traffic until I upgraded. No amount of adjustment or bending of the arms got me anything more than elbows/shoulders. (love these so far https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08CVJX92M/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1)
Seat is pretty bad but it seems like its getting better? Hoping it will break in some more, I only have ~70 mi on mine so far.
Display is meh, it shows what I want to see but it isnt flashy.
Speed/weight I knew what I was signing up for so not too bad, lighter would be better for both points.
Fenders- should be included, should at the very least be in stock so I can buy them. Same with the rear rack.
Also I think they should have thrown in a bell, the horn is too much for bike path use. Not trying to give someone a heart attack.
Update: Got the switch, then realized I needed this: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08GRZ2LZ7/
Just hooked everything up and it switches between batteries flawlessly!
I have this Crank Puller
Is that the proper one for a juiced bike. This is my left crank arm
I got some swingarm spools that screw in the foot peg holes on my HyperScorpion: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B085RFTV96/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_fabc_5J9XFbMF6CQN6?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
And I got this motorcycle jack from Harbor Freight that lifts the rear wheel by the spools: https://www.harborfreight.com/low-profile-rear-motorcycle-spool-stand-99701.html
Works great so far! I was able to change my rear tire with it, and helped with chain cleaning too.
I put this Amazon Basics motorcycle tail bag on mine and it's the perfect size: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07D9HXSXD/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_IyjNFbZA6ENZ9?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
Check my post history for a look at it on the bike.
Suspension seat post, I bought the one they sell from Kinekt. Way easier on the ass, especially because the back has no suspension.
The special wrench to remove the rear wheel, zip ties, a multitool. Can't be out there with no way to remove your back wheel just in case something happens.
Better brake pads, sintered or semi metallic, because the resin pads wear out within 500 miles (for me at least)
A GOOD helmet with MIPS, look for something rated for mountain biking like one from Specialized or Bontager. A $20 Walmart special will disintegrate if you go down at 30mph. And not in the good way.
If you go hard like I do, regularly cruising 28-33mph, downhill over 40, consider armor. Downhill MTB vests: https://www.competitivecyclist.com/alpinestars-vector-tech-protection-long-sleeve-jacket?skidn=APN01KD-BK-S&ti=UExQIENhdDpCaWtlIENoZXN0ICYgU3BpbmUgUHJvdGVjdGlvbjoxOjExOmNjQ2F0MTAwMDA0
And always wear full fingered gloves.
For the rear rack, a better light. Mine broke the first time I tried to take it off to replace the batteries. Luckily I had another one.
I love this bag, the sides extend for a huge amount of storage when you need it: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B079M1RDJ8/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_FGmLFbPD1E3D9?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1

Gekors ceramic pads (Avid Elixir compatible): https://www.amazon.com/Gekors-Ceramic-Bicycle-Elixir-Spring/dp/B06XFF4WXV
Ceramic has much less initial bite than metallic or resin pads, though I think that's not necessarily a bad thing for front brakes, especially when I hand my bike to friends who aren't used to ebikes with hydraulic brakes.
