You can try this as it worked great for me. https://www.lalal.ai/
This company will allow you to upload any song and strip the vocals, drums, guitar from any track. Works flawlessly, when I signed up it allowed one free song after that you need to pay but the technology is awesome and the sound quality is way better than any Karaoke recreation because its the original music,
My advice is to hire someone. Probably cost about $100-$150. Buying something that cheap won't be very good. And I'm guessing you'll have more important things to worry about that day than trying to figure out how to run a karaoke system.
But if you want to buy something I'd recommend subscribing to karafun for the music. Cost $6 for two days. The app runs off your phone / tablet / laptop. Connect the audio from your device to a small PA system like this
https://smile.amazon.com/Moukey-Connection-System-PA-Rechargeable-Microphone/dp/B082F3DMRN
I highly recommend this book: Roger Love - Set You Voice Free
THIS is the book that put me over the edge and keeps me "worked out" and ready to sing. He has vocal exercises that really teach you to open up, lower your adam's apple to hit the high notes, and find some technique.
I've got a free code lying around for Audible. Let me know if you want it.
Hope it helps you.
It depends on your goals.
If you're looking for CDG format, can't help you there, but if you're looking for mp4 karaoke, give Aegisub a try.
It's pretty comprehensive, you'd have to RTFM, but once you do, you can end up with very very nice looking lyrics sweeps like this.
Use a laptop and just download the app at Karafun. For a fee, can can have access to their very large and good database of songs. You can run an HDMI out of the laptop and run it through your TV and run the audio out of your laptop or TV.
I run a karaoke business myself and have found that my favorite program is actually a dj software called virtual dj. I love it because it reads all formats of music, has useful karaoke functions, is easy to use, and is highly versatile. http://www.virtualdj.com
Also a program called karaoki is good in its own way. http://www.pcdj.com/karaoke-software/karaoki/
I been dealing with karaoke for almost 20 years and I fix computers. One issue I can see is that 2 GB or RAM and your processor are an issue as far as speed. To solve your search problem, I suggest and I use this simple app. It's tons faster than Windows search. Just add what folder(s) you want it to search, turn it on, wait for it read the drives and the search is instantaneous.
Don't know what player you're using, but I use the free Karafun, Siglos and Winamp.
The diagram linked below shows you the basics. If you get that PA setup you linked, the mixer is built in but the principles are the same.
I do recommend the XM8500 mic... cheap, sounds good, tough.
In addition to the good mixer options above, you can get a Mackie mixer with USB and effects for $150.
https://smile.amazon.com/Mackie-ProFX-Mixer-Unpowered-6-channel/dp/B07XC3BHTL
I have one of these and the Yamaha and while the Yamaha is better, the Mackie ain't bad and has more features. It's cool that you can send PC sound to it over USB.
Whatever you decide on, do a trial run ASAP so you have time to get things squared away.
A nice mixer and PA are great things to have and will serve you for a long time. I have a nice PA and I use it for karaoke and outdoor movies, too.
THIS. Too many mic drops...
But Shure and Sennheisser are great brands. If it's just for home, VERY reasonable and great quality for the price...GTD

Your speakers are not designed to sing through. To avoid the risk of damage you should consider powered speakers. Plug the output of your mixer into something like this
Hey there! I run a Windows-based Karaoke setup at home, using Kodi so that I have remote control options via a tablet/cell phone. I haven't tried using an IR remote. For speakers I use a normal A/V receiver and speakers. Not sure if the sound bar is going to be strong enough for what you're doing, but you'll have to try it and see if you like it. Now, for microphones, I recommend sinking a little money into a mixer and doing it right. I use a Eurorack 1202FX, because adding light-moderate reverb makes Karaoke sound sooooooo much better (get the FX model, not the standard). I'm not seeing that exact model online, but the Behringer Xenyx looks identical and is at about the same price point (~$93). https://www.amazon.com/Behringer-Premium-12-Input-Multi-Fx-Processor/dp/B000J5Y214/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1490710571&sr=8-1&keywords=1202FX
The PC connects to the mixer with an RCA -> 3.5mm cable. For microphones, I use wireless mics from Amazon. Depending on your budget, you can find super cheap pairs; personally, I use Freeboss and have had no problems (https://www.amazon.com/Freeboss-Kv-22-Handheld-Wireless-Microphone/dp/B01AFUUABS/ref=sr_1_19?s=musical-instruments&ie=UTF8&qid=1490711007&sr=1-19&keywords=wireless+microphone)
This decent set up, which runs around ~160, should make for a decent system, provided your speakers can keep up :)
Let me know if I can answer any other questions!
For a simple solution this should have everything you need.
https://www.amazon.com/BEHRINGER-PMP550M-5-Channel-Processor-Detection/dp/B00E87OMMI?th=1
To mix two (or more!) devices into one receiver you must have a mixer. There are affordable ones on the market.
This Behringer mixer will work, but note that it only has one microphone input.
I have no personal experience with this machine but it seems to meet most of your requirements.

Hey, I’ve tried those mics and I’ll tell you that they do work, but if the quality of the singers voice is of interest to you then I do not recommend them. I’m not saying you have to go but shure, but I ended up returning them and buying these. Sculls still not the best, there is a significant increase in quality.
GTD Audio 4 Handheld Wireless... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B076N8Y9TY?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share

The Mackie mixer is a good choice.
As far as speakers the Mackie or Alto would be a good choice.
1 speaker vs 2 isn't an issue if you run the music in mono.
You can change the settings in the OS on the computer to output the stereo music as mono.
Right, the cabling you have now was made for using them with a mixer. Since you don't have the mixer you need a different cable.
You need a single 3.5mm cable that would plug in to the TV to the Bose

Hi DavidO - thanks for the data!
I'm torn between the 12" Pyle system referenced above and the equipment you have in your other suggestion (see below) that comes to about the same cost. This is for simple home family use and small parties, etc. I'd be using my existing stereo for the music, so the speaker is purely for vocals. I'm kind of leaning to the Pyle as it is all in one package versus the Rockville/Fifine combo below. Is there much between them??

I did a quick search.
You're not going find anything that meets your requirements.
Although the Shure does have a model that operates inside the Pyle's frequency range but there is no way to dial in the exact frequency needed.
And I'm not aware of any other powered speaker with a built in microphone receiver that would let you save on the fitness element.
One way to avoid external power requirements on a receiver is to buy a headset that uses a rechargeable battery

Those XLR cables will work.

Hello...I`m thinking of getting a similar setup as you. I`m looking at some of the dolphin Bluetooth speakers. I`m interested in this one https://www.amazon.com/dp/B075D6HQTF/?coliid=I2JJZLD9ODZ7P6&colid=2GVX7OSTF5RRS&psc=1&ref_=lv_ov_lig_dp_it How is the microphone that comes with the speaker? Ill probably get a wireless mic set with it...and how is the built in reverb effects on the dolphin speakers? Do they sound like true reverb and not too much "echoy effect" if that makes any sense?
Which amp isn't compatible with the TV? You might have to buy a small converter box but I haven't found an amp yet that couldn't be connected to a TV.
I like the Innopow I have these
https://smile.amazon.com/innopow-80-Channel-Microphone-Continuous-WM-333/dp/B0749L15PF
I don't have any experience with any of the other models but they do seem to be highly rated on Amazon.
You could connect the TV and mics to the Yamaha mixer and take the output into the BOSE S1
hey! sorry for the late reply.
This set up is mainly for my father to use and sing. He'd be mostly singing all chinese songs so I would imagine the app karafun doesn't have a wide karoke selection for that kind of music. I'd be using the TV as a streamer/youtube with music coming out of the tv.
I looked up the BOSE S1 Pro w/ battery? it seems to be recommended highly often here. And this yamaha mixer (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00I2J4V5G/ref=cm_sw_r_api_i_4JQGHYDCQD8MYBTV1CES_0), not sure what microphone to get( ideally would like two wireless ones. Also slightly confused on what wires I would need to connect all of these things together. Any input would be great!

Hey Thank you for replying.
Do you think the Samson mixer plus PA is. a good investment if used for a karaoke?
Or should I invest for the Yamaha and get two small speakers?
Is this the Mackie Model you are referring to?
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B073V81CVN/ref=twister_B08F93KSDY?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
I'm not necessarily and audiophile, but I did notice I could get two Rockville RPG12BT V2 12" for the price of one Mackie.
Think I should still go for the Mackies?
I am worried about potential audio lag with the BT. Should this be a concern or is it something over emphasized here?
Finally, what would be your suggestion for broadcasting the audio from my TV to the speakers? I do not believe it has built in BT - I know they make dongles/ adapters . I don't want to run it through a computer or anything, Just looking for a complete setup including TV + Mic + speaker. I assume I could always add a mixer later if I prefer?
Just to make sure my thought process is correct. I should be broadcasting the audio from my TV ( somehow) to the speakers and the mic will be the only cable connected to the speakers other than the power cords?
Thanks for your insight!
Based on the equipment you've provided you have no analog audio connection between the TV and the Rockville. The karaoke music will play only through the TV speakers which is perfectly acceptable but it won't get super loud. For a small room this might be adequate.
If you want to play the music through the Rockville you'll need an analog audio output on the TV. You didn't supply the model of TV so I can't give you a specific recommendation for cables or additional equipment. The audio output on the TV would be plugged into the Yamaha mixer or directly into the Rockville. You don't need a 2nd mic input on the Rockville. The Rockville has Aux and Line Inputs you can use.
I prefer wireless mics but the wired mics you've chosen will work just fine.
Based on the equipment you've listed here is a possible setup for a small living room.
You play the music through the speakers on your TV
You connect the mics to the mixer with 2 XLR cables.
You connect the mixer to the speaker with a single XLR cable.

If the room is small and you don't need the volume very loud you also might consider getting some karaoke microphones. These aren't very loud but might be good enough for a small room. With these you don't need any other equipment.

You're gonna need to specify iPhone or android.
Haven't done it for a while but for android, I used to use this app which can record in while running in the background.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.media.bestrecorder.audiorecorder
If your audio system has these kind of connections you can buy this cheap box that's nothing more than a glorified audio splitter. It will allow the stereo audio to come out the other speakers.
https://smile.amazon.com/Console-Adapter-Bidirectional-Conversion-Multimedia/dp/B09WQRVTCY
The short answer is to buy better quality XLR cables. Quality cables don't break that easily.
Tell us what brand of cables you're currently using so we can recommend something better.
This is the last brand of cables I bought and they work just fine.

That's a pretty small space. Only big enough for a love seat, a couple of chairs, and a TV. One speaker would be fine for karaoke in that small of a space.
I think one of these Alto should work. I think the 10" woofer would definitely work but the 8" might be acceptable. Since Amazon has free returns I'd buy one of each and try them out.
I'm guessing the singers will be seated when singing. I would mount them up high on the wall next to the TV
https://smile.amazon.com/Alto-Professional-TX308-Musicians-Ceremonies/dp/B097J3YCDR
Yes, The RCA would work for the audio. You would need an adapter cable to go from the red and white plugs on the RCA cable to a 3.5mm stereo plug for the Aux input on the speaker.
https://www.amazon.co.uk/Gold-Plated-Copper-Female-Adapter-Extension-0-9m/dp/B0721BBNJ6

I would keep the yellow wire connected to the av2hdmi so you can connect the video output to your tv via HDMI.
I did some research on the platinum ks-10 mini sd karaoke player. It doesn't seem to be available outside of the Philippines but I'm pretty impressed with this box. It has a lot of features.
I wasn't aware the mics plug directly into this device.
Looking at Amazon again I'd might try one of these speakers for home karaoke at that price point
https://www.amazon.co.uk/VECTOR-HH-Electronics-VRE-8AG2-Bluetooth/dp/B08T6C748F
There are many other posts in this sub on this subject that contain a wealth of information including links. I would suggest reading some.
Since you already have the Kithouse the only thing you really need is a powered speaker.
I have this speaker in the 10" version and it works well for an inexpensive speaker and it's not too bulky to move around.
https://smile.amazon.com/Rockville-RPG8BT-V2-Bluetooth-Wireless/dp/B0881VBHDG
Yes, using a laptop means you only need a mixer that accepts the audio output from the laptop and the microphones that can output to speakers.
I agree with u/67Mustang-Man that unless you plan on using this setup in the future hiring someone would be the cheapest / easiest route to go. Because even the cheapest thing I would recommend would probably be more expensive than hiring someone.
I've used this all-in-one and it worked well for the price.
https://smile.amazon.com/Karaoke-Portable-Speaker-System-Rechargeable/dp/B07QH7VBW7?th=1
I don't have any actual experience with this product, but it looks great on paper. Zoom is a well known brand. The irig device listed in the previous reply will probably work as well, but you will need to add a microphone and xlr cable. The zoom product I listed is all in one. You will need to figure out if she has a usb-c connector on her phone before purchasing. many newer android phones have this.

for smule on my android, i use an irig and an old handheld mic. i also have one of these for on the go and it's better than any headphone mic.
I was trying to verify if this was karaoke related because if it's not there might be better places to ask this question.
This is an interesting request. You would think there would be a simple cheap device to accomplish this but I couldn't find any.
But looking around you might be able to use the Cast feature of the Chrome browser to cast the screen.
Maybe a cheap Chromebook like this one?
https://smile.amazon.com/Lenovo-Chromebook-Processor-Graphics-82BA0003US/dp/B087YW8FQB
It should have everything needed including the mic input to connect to the mixer. You would just need an adapter to break out the mic input and headphone output.
Do you know if this cable will work? It looks like it bypasses the 1/4 adapter.

Hello u/sounds_abt_right
You want some kind of echo/reverb for your voice for a decent experience.
If you want to stick with the Innopow (which are great) and your Lynx I would add this mixer
https://smile.amazon.com/Pyle-Compatible-Professional-Interface-Mixing-PMXU48BT-5/dp/B07Y8M52HN?th=1
I agree with u/Full_Apple_1224 with their recommendation of a different version of the LyxPro 8” which has echo.
Their recommendation of the LyxPro SPA-5.5 also might be a good option for you.
You are on the right track.
I like this speaker because it has built in mixer with echo effect.
https://www.amazon.com/LyxPro-SPA-5-5-Speaker-Amplifier-Powerful/dp/B01IFIEHPM?ref\_=ast\_sto\_dp
Those wireless mics should work just fine with it. I have similar mics from tonor and they work great!
You could easily find a way to mount this all on a mic stand.
The ION Sport XL has a standard 1/4" jack. Any mic that has a 1/4" cable should work. Something like this

I brought this for my Laotian grandmother and she loves it. We don't use any app, she uses YouTube for now, I guess I will probably put a mixtape on a tf card and her computer.
The plus : she can use it anywhere around and even bring it to her friends. It's powerful enough to animate a small party. It worked with a phone, tablet, and smart TV. Good battery.
The bad : only one device at once on Bluetooth. So if all her device automatically tries to connect the fastest one will be connected and she will have to disconnect or at least deactivate Bluetooth on the connected device.
I think you should look for stuff like that "children friendly" or even quality karaoke for children.
I was honestly very surprised by how much she liked it, I first wanted to go for the big stuff that makes a lot of light but ended up taking this one to try, I did not realize that the mobility of the machine would be so practical for her. She is going to bring it with her on her trip to Thailand in 2 weeks lol.
Yes, people use a setup like that.
Some use a very simple setup with the AV system for music and sing with microphones like this.

Here is something that meets your requirements
https://smile.amazon.com/VocoPro-21-00-23-00-CHAMPIONRECBASIC/dp/B008MTL5PU
Although I would suggest not buying a karaoke machine.
Instead subscribe to a streaming karaoke service like karafun and run the app on a device through a small PA system.
PA speakers for home karaoke you have a lot of options. I've been recommending Alto speakers. I like the 8" or 10" speakers. Once you go bigger than that the speakers tend to get a little large.
https://smile.amazon.com/Alto-Professional-TX308-Musicians-Ceremonies/dp/B097J3YCDR
I can understand your confusion. It's not like you can just buy something off of Amazon and have everything you need.
Most karaoke machines on Amazon are not much more than a small PA, something with just a mic and a speaker with some additional audio input for the karaoke music, but no songs are included.
So you still need to get the karaoke music. This can be from another device like a phone, tablet, computer. Some karaoke machines include a CD/DVD player for songs that come on a disc, but most days people use some form of streaming for the music.
Since there are a lot of free karaoke songs on Youtube a lot of people get a device to play those videos, even a smart TV.
I recommend the streaming karaoke app Karafun. It's $6 for two days or $10 for a month. The app runs on multiple devices including phones, tablets, computers, smart TVs. You can route the audio and video to other devices if desired. Normally people route the audio to one of those Amazon karaoke machines or home AV system and the video to a TV.
You would have to give more info about your requirements to recommend something specific. There are a lot of other posts here that cover home karaoke systems that contain helpful information. I suggest looking at a few.
But if you want something simple for your wife to sing at home you might want to look at playing Karafun on some device like a laptop. And instead of a karaoke machine buy a karaoke microphone off of Amazon. I have one and it works well if you're singing by yourself or in a small group. There are video reviews that show it in action.
https://smile.amazon.com/BONAOK-Bluetooth-Microphone-Christmas-Smartphone/dp/B071SGMQ7V
There probably are karaoke Playstation games but I don't have any info on them.
I like these...
Battery operated mics and receiver. Cheap and good performance...

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0859S2NTJ?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details
You can try these I have used them in the past and they sound pretty good and are very inexpensive .

You really don't want any kind of Bluetooth microphone. Bluetooth introduces a delay between the time you sing until you hear it in the speaker that makes singing unusable.
Instead you want wireless UHF or VHF microphones.
Something like this should meet your requirements
https://smile.amazon.com/Wireless-Microphone-Handheld-Rechargeable-Amplifier/dp/B07PHN72X9
These karaoke machines have an online Chinese song music library. Maybe they have something that meets your requirements?
https://www.amazon.com/InAndOn-Amplifier-Function-Real-time-Wireless/dp/B0943HVDNS
If you use something like karafun on a laptop.
connect the stereo audio output on the laptop to inputs 5/6 or 7/8 or 9/10 on the mixer using a 1/8" stereo to dual 1/4" cable. You can use other devices but the audio output works well enough.
I use this but it's not absolutely necessary
https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B07RV6VBNR/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Your laptop also needs to have an hdmi or some other type of video output to connect to your projector.
If it's a Windows laptop once you connect the laptop to the projector you'll need to send up this 2nd display as an extended desktop.
Using karafun you activate the 2nd display and then slide the 2nd lyrics window to the 2nd display which is your projector.
https://www.amazon.com/Karaoke-Portable-Speaker-System-Rechargeable/dp/B07L514X7T you will need a music source for tv like Android tv box or fire tv stick to connect with the speaker through Bluetooth or aux to RCA cable if your tv has 3.5 mm audio output otherwise you will need an optical digital audio converter device
I'm not aware of machines with that description. Most karaoke machines don't include music or play music videos.
Here is the closest I'm aware of.
https://smile.amazon.com/InAndOn-Amplifier-Function-Real-time-Wireless/dp/B0943HVDNS
It works great and it can get very loud for sure. I think it only has an echo feature for the mic. I have been using it daily for a year and I love it. Less than $100. Worth it.
Yamaha makes excellent mixers. If you can afford it, I highly recommend the 10 channel version of that mixer as it has vocal compression. Vocal compression makes it so you can hear people who sing quietly and people who scream into the mic almost equally loud. It's awesome for karaoke.
Additionally your speakers will need to be active (powered) unless you also buy an amplifier.
Behringer makes very good affordable powered PA speakers. Yamaha also makes good ones, but they are more expensive.
If you've been here for a while you probably know that a speaker used for a computer is not adequate to sing through. It's fine for the karaoke music but you could damage it if you try to sing through it. You need a powered PA speaker to sing karaoke if you're going to use a mixer.
Another cheap alternative is to buy a karaoke microphone and use your computer to just play the karaoke music. Something like this
https://www.amazon.com/BONAOK-Bluetooth-Microphone-Christmas-Smartphone/dp/B071SGMQ7V
I ended up buying this one. Very similar tho! https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07TK3M2WQ?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details
For a mixer you need enough inputs that meets your requirements. The 6 channel version has a lot less knobs and is a little cheaper but it only has two mic/guitar inputs. The other inputs are for line level inputs. If you use up the 2 XLR inputs for your mics you can't just plug in a guitar directly into the other available inputs. You'll need a preamp that can boost the guitar signal to line level.
https://www.amazon.com/Yamaha-MG06X-6-Input-Compact-Effects/dp/B00I2J4V5G?th=1
The mic cables only carry audio signals, not power. You will need power for the receiver if you want to run any wireless mics.
Any laptop you get will have HDMI or USB Type-C out. if USB Type-C, get a dock. Get a HDMI Splitter. They're cheap. Connect to dock or laptop and connect to whatever el-cheapo TV or Monitor that's the size you want for the singer and the venue's or your own TV/monitor/projector for the audience. There's no benefit a monitor over a tv or vice versa. If you have a venue with legacy connections like composite or VGA, convert from HDMI down, not the other way around.
Glad to hear you got things working.
I'm not aware of any inexpensive digital mixers that can be controlled wirelessly.
Maybe someone else knows of something, but this is the cheapest I could find.
https://www.amazon.com/Behringer-Digital-Mixer-FLOW-8/dp/B08NDBQM5W
IMO I would just put a cheap analog mixer close to the Bose.
The quick and dirty option is to control the mic levels from the front of the Innopow.
I have been using 1 speaker and was planning to continue to do so.
But, you've got me thinking I might be better off with 2 speakers.
Any thoughts on this:
You might want to look at these. I have one. It can't get too loud.
https://smile.amazon.com/BONAOK-Wireless-Bluetooth-Microphone-Controllable/dp/B07BHLGK87
I don't normally recommend their equipment for pro use but for home use I think this might work great for you. https://www.amazon.com/Rockville-SINGMIX-Bluetooth-Amplifier-Receiver/dp/B082HXJQ9T?ref\_=ast\_sto\_dp
I recommend the 10" version of this speaker
https://smile.amazon.com/Rockville-RPG15BT-V2-Bluetooth-Additional/dp/B088ZH5CGH
Since you're using one speaker you need to run two cables from the output of the mixer (for the L and R channels) to the speaker or you'll only hear 1/2 of the stereo sound.
Yes, it's better to run an HDMI cable from the karaoke equipment to the TV.
Depending on what karaoke equipment you get you have the option Where or not to run the karaoke music into the Yamaha receiver
But for the singing I recommend using some small PA powered speaker(s).
But if this is just for a couple of people hanging out in living room (i.e. not a big house party) you might want to opt for some powered karaoke microphones like this.
https://www.amazon.com/BONAOK-Bluetooth-Microphone-Christmas-Smartphone/dp/B071SGMQ7V
I do exactly this. I have KaraFun on my laptop, then HDMI out to this wireless mic:

Then HDMI from the mic box to my television.
Seems to work great!
During Covid I did some live streams of myself singing karaoke songs by request. If you want to live stream to facebook you immediately run into their copywrite restrictions. They'll stop your stream if they detect you're streaming music. You can restart the stream but it was too much of a hassle for me to continue.
Youtube has similar restrictions but it doesn't seem quite as sensitive.
There are facebook groups dedicated to live streamed karaoke shows using Zoom.
As far as cameras you can use your phone and they work well. I recommend connecting your phone to a power bank because streaming eats up your battery.
I used this hub on my Samsung Note 8 to connect a power bank, external monitor, and network internet to my phone
https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B07TVSLDND/
Since a lot of karaoke shows are done indoors with low lighting you might want look for cameras with good low light capabilities. You could use some external lighting to brighten things up but a good number of singers might not like being in the limelight.
Another thing you need to check for on cameras/camcorder is "clean" HDMI output i.e. there are no camera status indicators superimposed on the video.
For my livestream charity events I currently use multiple Canon Vixia camcorders connected to a video switcher and streamed using a dedicated hardware encoder box that's hardwired to the internet for better reliability than using wifi
It appears the 12 channel Behringer is still available. It's the model I use and it works just fine. I highly recommend it
The only downside to the Behringer is the lack of XLR outputs which requires a special cable to connect to powered speakers if you're going to use balanced input/outputs.
I wouldn't go with that model of Mackie due to the lack of vocal effects. You need this model
https://www.amazon.ca/Mackie-ProFX-Mixer-Unpowered-6-channel/dp/B07XC3BHTL
The Soundcraft is a solid mixer but usually I little more expensive than other options.
Unless you plan on doing more than just karaoke you might want USB. But I don't use the USB functionality for karaoke.
Would this speaker work?
Philips X3206 Bluetooth Party Speaker with Deep bass, Up to 14 Hours Battery, Party Lights and Karaoke Effects, Microphone and Guitar Input, Audio-in, USB Charging, Built-in Carry Handle, TAX3206 https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09GL9MBP7/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_KJG8WNZG3XEQX7C75VWD?psc=1
Would I be able to hook up wireless mics and audio from my tv with just this speaker or would I need a mixer too?
The Vocopro does not include Bluetooth for the music and I don't recommend adding it. Bluetooth induces a noticeable delay that I'm not a fan of. I recommend connecting the music to the VocoPro using a cable.
Wireless mics work well for home karaoke because the transmitter is reasonably close to the receiver.
I use wireless mics from Innopow that are sold on Amazon.
Something like this.
https://smile.amazon.com/innopow-Microphone-150-200Ft-Continuous-WM-200-New/dp/B07F58YP2Z
Does something like this meet your requirements?
https://smile.amazon.com/Chinese-Karaoke-Machine-Download-Wireless/dp/B09MTTT4MK
There are many discussion about home karaoke solutions here. I suggest you read a few. They may give you some ideas about what's available.
IMO the reason you're having trouble finding something is because there are no "good" home solutions that meets your requirements and price range.
I recommend you look at something like this
https://smile.amazon.com/BONAOK-Bluetooth-Microphone-Christmas-Smartphone/dp/B071SGMQ7V
I tried out the 15" version and it worked well but it's pretty large. The 12" version should be a little more manageable.
https://smile.amazon.com/Karaoke-Portable-Speaker-System-Rechargeable/dp/B07QH7VBW7?th=1
This is what I recommend for wireless mics
https://www.amazon.com/innopow-80-Channel-Microphone-Continuous-WM-333/dp/B0749L15PF
I use these mics and they are inexpensive, durable, and have good audio quality. No delay issues with these mics.
What you don't want are wireless Bluetooth mics or USB mics that plug into a computer. Those are the ones that have delay issue when you use them for karaoke.
Using bluetooth for the karaoke music will introduce a noticeable delay with the synchronized words and music. You might be able to live with the delay but it won't be a quality karaoke experience.
Connecting a mic to the laptop using USB will introduce an additional delay between the time you sing until you hear it out the speaker. I believe the delay will be distracting and it won't be a pleasant experience.
I don't think you can use the Aux input on the Zealot and Bluetooth at the same time. And even if you could do it I don't recommend singing through the Zealot speakers. They're not designed to handle the peaks when singing. It's fine for the music but you could damage the speakers if you tried to sing through them.
If you want a wireless karaoke solution you might want to look into something like this.

You can buy a cheap guitar echo/reverb pedal off of Amazon. I tried this one and it worked well.
https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B07413VS1F/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
You don't need to connect it inline with the mic. Plug a cable from FX Send of your mixer to the input of the pedal. Plug another cable from the output of the pedal to the Stereo Aux Return.
Use the FX knob on each channel to add the amount of echo/reverb effect desired.
What do you think of the beitrun mics with a jbl party box? I would like the use of a mixer tho.
I think I’m gonna go mixer with toslink. And some type of live speaker with optical.
The PG58 is a solid choice. For my personal use I have the PGXD24/BETA58 which is great.
For my singers I use something cheaper but rugged because they take a lot of abuse. I love these Innopow mics. They sound good, all metal construction, and no buttons on the shaft so the users can't easily turn them off accidentally.
https://smile.amazon.com/innopow-80-Channel-Microphone-Continuous-WM-333/dp/B0749L15PF
Shure for home and private use however in a bar setting I have been using these.
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07GR69D9L/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
All metal construction, feel great and sound great. Been using for over a year without issue and they take some real punishment in their use.
I would agree with the other commenter don't try singing through your home theater or av equipment. Just not set up to handle voice. If you dont have a ton of money you can try using a small PA speaker or Guitar amp for your vocals only and use your av for music only. My buddy uses this setup and it works pretty well. Plays all of the video off Youtube and music through his av equipment and and has a little guitar amp where he plus his mics in and blends the 2. Or if you have 100 bucks you can use something like this.
Either way Rock On and keep singing!
I’m confused by your post. You say you are using 1/4” mixer out into XLR speaker in, but the cable you linked is RCA which is not the same as XLR.
This cable is 1/4” to XLR male. You also want to check the genre of the line in on your speaker, make sure it wants male. Link: TISINO 1/4 to XLR Cable, Nylon Braid Quarter inch TRS to XLR Male Balanced Interconnect Cord Patch Cable- 3.3ft https://www.amazon.com/dp/B083R4CDT2/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_i_RJJP4E45ZJ1QW4M53NGC?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
Would you still recommend this setup? I am looking for a similar solution for my basement, which is about 1600 sqft..but i also don't want to rile up my quiet neighbors.
The mics you recommended are not available, what do you think of these: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07JNDVS6H/ref=crt\_ewc\_title\_dp\_2?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=A5MSHSFEDKZXK
I will be using a Windows laptop, does that change anything?
https://www.amazon.com/AAXA-BP1K-Karaoke-Projector-Microphone/dp/B09NB2BXML?ref_=ast_sto_dp
I think there's a 30% off sale code too, use code 30BP1SALE
You will need a device that will convert the optical output on your TV to analog for the Bose. Something like this.
https://smile.amazon.com/PROZOR-Digital-Converter-Optical-Toslink/dp/B00KNNSKV0
1) Your requirements are pretty much impossible. Anything for under $100 isn't going to be very good. But you could try this. It meets your price point and is highly rated.
https://smile.amazon.com/JYX-Karaoke-Wireless-Microphones-Adjustment/dp/B093SQ1PVC
Play the music through the TV and sing through the powered speaker.
2) There should be no noticeable delay unless you use Bluetooth to transmit audio.
3)PA speakers will be fine for amplifying normal sounds.
You probably want something like this.
If your TV has Bluetooth, you can use this as your speaker and a mixer at the same time.
Hi,
I bought this on on Amazon and it works fine. You can use it with Bluetoth, Computer, SD-Card and it has two wireless Mics. It is not a pro system, but it is easy to use, as it works battery operated for several hours or via powerline.
The Mackie is probably overkill for small living room. For something cheaper I recommend the 10" or 12" version of this
https://smile.amazon.com/Rockville-RPG15BT-V2-Bluetooth-Additional/dp/B088ZH5CGH
This is the wireless microphone system I bought Kithouse Wireless Microphone System. And as far as I could tell the only audio output available on the Samsung TU7000 Smart TV is digital optical audio.
For an 8 years old I'd recommend this microphone
For the music I'd recommend continuing to use a phone/tablet/laptop to access karaoke on youtube/spotify/etc.
But If you want a better variety of songs I'd recommend subscribing to karafun. it runs on phone/tablet/computer/TV. For $10 a month you get unlimited access.
To use the speakers as surround sound you'll need a surround sound AV receiver/amplifier. Although for karaoke you won't be able to use surround sound . For karaoke the receiver will have to be set to stereo so a lot of the speakers won't be used.
Realistically there isn't a way to guarantee to avoid damage. One dropped mic, one person pointing the mic into a speaker, or someone yelling in the mic is enough to damage them.
If you want to use the KEF speakers I would recommend using them for the karaoke music only and sing through something else.
You would sing through the GTD connected to the Behringer mixer and finally to powered speaker(s), something like these
https://smile.amazon.com/Rockville-BPA10-Professional-Powered-Bluetooth/dp/B01C564PZ2
u/DavidO_Pgh was about to pull the trigger on the Rockville when I came across this PA system. Any thoughts/experience with this Acoustic Audio unit?
you really need some kind of mixer to plug the mic, and music into before it goes into the input of the amp, probably not what you wanted to hear, but good luck!
Yes, the downside would be the wires. These should work well
https://smile.amazon.com/Shure-PGA48-XLR-Cardioid-Dynamic-Microphone/dp/B00TTQM8Z6?th=1
But once you figure in the price of the wired mics and the cables you're just about at the price of the innopow wireless. I've been happy with the audio quality of the innopow.
I'd probably stay with the same company. They have this one in stock which should work well for you.
