Just searched again to see what I could find, last time I thought I was only able to find 4 in 1 3" waffle makers. Just found this, same company that makes the single 4", if anyone else cares - https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08P3RQ86F/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_glt_fabc_JS0GCTE0QB70HAP6QTWY?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
I just looked up the packaging on amazon. In that one the sugar alcohols are 8g and that would make them 2 net carbs. It could be they reformulated and forgot to change it in the box or a typo
https://www.amazon.com/Atkins-Endulge-Treat-Chocolate-Coconut/dp/B00HZ1CHTY
Potassium, Sodium and Magnesium.
You need those. You lazy? I am super lazy so I just take the tablets in the amazon link below. There is definitely cheaper options but, as I said, I am lazy. Works great for me.
I recommend Tia Lupita’s Nopal cactus / corn tortillas. They don’t kill my stomach like the mission ones do and I prefer corn over flour. They work well for enchiladas and soft tacos. I make breakfast tacos every morning almost. Tia Lupita Low Carb Cactus Corn Tortillas – Keto Friendly, Gluten Free, High Fiber, Non GMO, Only 30 Calories Each – Authentic Mexican Wrap (3-Pack, 10 Pieces Per Pack) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B088F677SN/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_H23YAPHGWDP8FKE7A208?psc=1.
PCOS is also called type 3 diabetes. I would suggest you to read the following book :
The PCOS Plan by Dr. Jason Fung and Dr. Nadia Brito Patrguana
https://www.amazon.ca/dp/1771644605/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_awdb_imm_C4ZDS4RQHMWKR1FS7W5N
Fasting and keto are well known to reverse PCOS fully and restore fertility.
For sure!
I used Scotty's Everyday mix from Amazon (the best I've found so far!) https://www.amazon.com/Keto-Bread-Zero-Carb-Mix/dp/B08QRTNYLR/
First you have to dissolve one yeast packet in 3/4 cup warm water, mix that water with one bag of Scotty's Everyday mix + 6 tablespoons of olive oil.
Let the dough rise for 90 minutes, roll out and shape into a bagel, boil in water 1 minute on each side, egg wash the tops, bake in oven at 400 degrees for 20 mins!
Yes yes yes yes yes!!!! Thank you for asking this!!
I need to share my story!! Others need to learn from my mistake! I bought that cheap white plastic spiralizers with the hand crank that everyone buys for about $20-30 bucks. It's difficult to use and you end up cutting your hands. Its only easy to use on soft zucchini, but dare you be so bold to use it on a potato or apple??? Don't even consider butternut squash!! Pfft!! Get the bandaids out cause you're gonna get some cuts!!
My friend got something like this from Amazon. It's electric powered!!! You don't have to crank!! Omg! Just slap a vegetable onto it and hold the button down!! It's brilliant! She did a shit ton of potatoes in minutes. Its a blender, so there's that benefit too. Yup. If you decide to buy a spiralizer, definitely look into something like this.
Here's a fun idea you may have not considered: Get a 12 volt crock pot and cook your food while you drive!
https://www.amazon.com/RoadPro-RPSL-350-Quart-Slow-Cooker/dp/B0013IR88A
Throw in a beef chuck or chunk or pork shoulder, some salt and pepper and whatever vegetables you like and dinner is served
hey thank you. looks like good ingredients.
Do you suffer from epilepsy? Percentages of macronutrient are important when treating epilepsy. For weight loss percentages play no role at all; use grams instead of percentages.
Read those two books, and read it all, from the first to the last page, from A to Z; all questions you may have regarding ketogenic diet that isn't specifically formulated for epilepsy are answered and explained:
1.) This is the book that contains just the basic informations of ketogenic diet and answers all of your question stated here. There is one printing typo in the book, but it's very easy to spot so it's not critical.
2.) This book goes into a lot greater detail, explainint and answering tons of questions that are regularly keep poppin up in keto related subreddits and other forums.
I'm now in my 2nd week and use Carb Manager to track food. For Carbs I stay under 22 ALWAYS. For calories I stay at or under 1750, Protein around 109g, fat around 136 and have lost 10 lbs so far. Just tested my Ketones and they are at 4.0... so I am definitely in Ketosis. I actual could feel my body switching into ketosis this pass Saturday afternoon and woke up Sunday feeling great. I drink a minimum of 8 glasses of just water plus I sip on my version of Keto-Aide which is 32oz of water and one scoop of Dr. Berg's Original Keto Electrolytes Powder and one scoop of KeyNutrients Electrolytes Powder; both Zero Calorie & Zero Carbs. I use a few ounces of real hot water and add the scoops of powder to ensure the power fully dissolves 1st then I fill the rest of the 32 oz container with ice cold water.
This might be anecdotal but try some probiotics. I had diarrhea for 3weeks until I had some LBS and I was fixed the next day. No joke. here
This is the best ginger/honey tea that’s awesome for upset stomachs. Add a spoon (or 2) to hot water. That’s it! It would be cheaper to find this at a Korean grocery store, but I don’t know where you live… feel better soon!
I tried a new product made with hearts of palm- was really good and didn't have the aftertaste that cauliflower has- might be helpful. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08YKFQ82L/ref=ppx\_yo\_dt\_b\_asin\_title\_o00\_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1
I did stevia for awhile and slowly put less. It just takes awhile to get used to it. Stevia is fine, but I wanted to invest my carbs elsewhere. :)
I bought a withings scale. It has a nice app that tracks your weight and will import your steps from your phone (apple, android maybe?). The app is pretty nice. I used to get discouraged when I didn’t lose weight every day. It helps to see the weekly and monthly trends. Now, if I meet my monthly goal, I’m ok.
Withings Body+ - Digital Wi-Fi Smart Scale with Automatic Smartphone App Sync, Full Body Composition Including, Body Fat, BMI, Water Percentage, Muscle & Bone Mass, with Pregnancy Tracker & Baby Mode https://www.amazon.com/dp/B071XW4C5Q/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_CQE2WCM6G84T4FDAZG3N?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
Gary Taubes is the gold standard for this.
His latest is "The Case for Keto", but I still have a soft spot for Why We Get Fat: And What To Do About It.
Taubes is a journalist who specializes in science. His original book on the subject (Good Calories, Bad Calories) is aimed at more of the science/medical community and can be a little dense. The Why We Get Fat book is basically him taking that information and putting it in a little more simple and reader-friendly book. He's been keto for years and really knows his stuff on this and is fantastic at explaining it so anyone can understand.
Anything from the guy who started Primal Foods. Here is one he has been on Joe Rogan Podcast multiple times as well. I buy each separately, but “keto k1000” unflavored is a great one I use sometimes.
Keto K1000 Electrolyte Powder | Raw Mineral Flavor | Boost Energy & Beat Leg Cramps | No Maltodextrin, No Sugar, No Stevia | 50 Servings https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07KDRPYBJ/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_BJV70V63N7VK6A7KXA8Q?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
I HATE supplementing, personally, so I just try to get everything from my diet. Pork chops, salmon, red meat, avocados... FANTASTIC sources for potassium and in my case almost always meets or exceeds the daily limit. Sodium is easy with pickle juice and broth, and salting the heck outta food. Almonds and kale are great for magnesium, but it can be hard to supplement through diet alone. I hate supplementing magnesium due to the laxative effects, and the fact that you can overdo it. So, I opt for magnesium spray. It's topical, provides fast relief for muscle cramps, no laxative effects, and your body ONLY absorbs what it needs.
This is the BEST low carb rice replacement. It's also expensive as hell and can be hard to fit in unless you're doing OMAD, but if you really need something to help you transition, it's a great place to start!
Not sure if I’ll be able to post the link but this is what I use https://www.amazon.com/dp/B071F436PV/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_9ZZW2M87YAHQAFWCM4JN?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
I use this specifically for IBS like symptoms and the active ingredient that helps me is called alpha-galactosidase. There are a bunch of white papers that talk about the effects and such. It’s honestly been a life changer for me. Not sure it’ll do the same for you, but man does it help me.
Easy to understand and follow glycemic index vs load and what foods to the body.
Also here’s the link to the one I have, there’s a lot out there but this one is awesome! Ninja Foodi AG301 5-in-1 Indoor Electric Countertop Grill with 4-Quart Air Fryer, Roast, Bake, Dehydrate, and Cyclonic Grilling Technology https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07S76WBGF/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_QW4WQAWW4D2WN06TV2N6
It was something like this. I think it’s the same company, and I have the French vanilla one. But the packaging I have looks different, and it’s half a scoop (not a full scoop) on the label. But maybe this is the same and they just changed the label/increased the serving size
I use Keto IV electrolyte drops + high potassium.
I get it on Amazon, it completely stopped my needle legs at night and the charlie horses I was getting. If I don't take it for a few days, I can absolutely fell the the difference.
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08D8SB8W4/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_fabc_6KAX41VHFGA4MBJEFP1E?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
Most regular groceries stores around here have it but I found it on Amazon too!!
Nothing outside of a blood test is going to be 100% accurate, but since day one of my keto journey I’ve been using urine test strips and they’ve been incredibly accurate, from what I can tell. I began at zero, as days went on the color crept up, and as I was experimenting with different foods and beverages, I’d test a couple hours afterwards and the colors would dip/change as I would suspect. People say over and over that they aren’t accurate, and maybe it’s some rands in particular that aren’t, but I’ve been really impressed with the ones I have. Test Strips
You're welcome! When I get really hungry in the mornings I make a black/green tea. Always helps minimize hunger. Black coffee is totally fine. I don't drink coffee so water it is lol. Also I forgot to mention I fast at the same time as keto
12pm-8pm (16:8 method)
Breakfast @ 12pm
Lunch @ 4pm
Supper @ 7pm
Everyday same times. Will accelerate progress
To calculate all macros I use the app called Carb Manager and to see what macros I need I use Macro Calculator. Everyone needs different macros so be sure to calculate what you need. Also macro needs will change as weight loss progresses. At 270lbs I don't need the same macros as I would need at 200lbs
Any other questions or concern don't hesitate to pm me or reply to this post. We're all constantly learning as we go!
“”water weight shedding coz of hydration)””
being hydrated can cause higher BG than normal even with us non-diabetics...drink more fluids, preferably fluids with an electrolyte powder mixed in.. personally i use a scoop of electrolyte powder (that has both magnesium and potassium in it) and add 3-4 grinds of hymalayan salt to my 32oz bottle of flavored raspberry water and drink at least 2 of them per day (been on keto since early march for medical reasons and i still need plenty of fluids even now or BG and BP go haywire).
i use this powder if interested, really helps with the hydration & keto related issues.

one of the things i haven’t tried making from scratch cause i just use a keto packaged mix that i like that saves me time and i add 2 drops of liquid sweetener in it for more sweetness (sometimes vanilla extract too)
this one was the best of the ones i’ve tried IMO. https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B07QZSFQ59/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Renpho has a digital tape measure that records in their app! It’s awesome. It’s $25-30 i think but it’s soooooo easy to use and track.

u/edieot covered the cheap way to do it because this is definitely more expensive. I am lazy, are you lazy? If you are then just order the stuff in the amazon link below, it works great for me!
The only products related to my diet that I've ever purchased from Amazon were sodium citrate to use in making simple cheese sauces, and a food scale to ensure I'm eating within my macros. I swear by both of them.
I’ve been buying Ultima electrolyte powder on amazon for awhile now (I make sure I’m buying from their store and not some other seller) and I really like it. I get the big 10oz tub that lasts a couple months for 30$.

What you have read is incorrect, eating more protein than the recommended .80g per lb of lean body mass will not throw you out of ketosis. Eat 20g net carbs or less per day and you will be in ketosis within 24 hours.
Ketosis itself is just a metabolic state, it doesn't cause weight loss. In order to lose weight, you need to eat at a caloric deficit.
All of these things are explained in much more depth in the FAQ: https://www.reddit.com/r/keto/wiki/faq
There is also a food plan with suggested meals in the sidebar of that subreddit. Amazon and other online retailers have lots of scales for sale.
Ok
I can’t find it on Canada’s amazon What am I looking for so I can hopefully find an alternative ahha
Edit: https://www.amazon.ca/Nutribiotic-Essential-Electrolytes-Caps-Count/dp/B000OP252C/ref=mp_s_a_1_7?keywords=hi+lyte+electrolyte&qid=1587036240&sprefix=hi+lyte&sr=8-7. Would this be a good alternative?
Also I found these on Amazon! Might give them a try....
