Makes a seal and allows for great airlfow. Comapred to other pads i have used this seems to be the best performaing as i got lower fans speeds as well as lower temps
You can at least try just to see if it give you any performance improvements. I would recommend to monitor the computer and in-game FPS before and after removing the battery. You can use HWinfo to analyze the laptops specs and the in-game stats to monitor the FPS. Here's a link to HWinfo if you are not familiar with the software: https://www.hwinfo.com/download/
Well as far as a gaming laptop, you won't be able to get one for 600 euro. You'll be able to by a decent laptop that isn't geared towards gaming but more towards daily activities. But that decent laptop that you buy for 600 euros will be able to play LoL, Terraria, and Minecraft without any problems and likely at max graphics. Those games aren't to graphic intensive.
Here's a laptop off amazon that will run all the games you listed at max graphics without any problems. It's right around what you have to spend.

According to the website, the recommended GPU is ATI Radeon R9 270 or Nvidia GTX 670. I think your GPU might not be powerful enough. The rest of the specs looks fine.
Just looked for a dock and found this one https://www.amazon.co.uk/Adapter-Docking-Station-Monitors-Compatible-8-1/dp/B08PPFJ6JZ/ref=sr_1_33?crid=29TQG45SXTEX5&keywords=Laptop%2BDocks%2BUSB%2Bc&qid=1661074975&sprefix=laptop%2Bdocks%2Busb%2Bc%2Caps%2C71&sr=8-33&th=1 Should this work with my MSI laptop it has a USB C port so I believe it should work just want to make sure before it buy it.
This one is nicely priced for the spec if you don't mind a 17" laptop.

if you are going for under 1 grand, then an acer nitro 5 or a tuf is very good. id recommend this https://www.amazon.com/ASUS-GeForce-i7-11370H-Windows-TUF516PE-AB73/dp/B08XPC3WFQ/ref=sr\_1\_4?crid=1S4G2V7JYOAJV&keywords=gaming+laptop&qid=1645381892&refinements=p\_36%3A60000-100000&rnid=3012494011&s=pc&sprefix=gaming+la...
Below is the link to the one I use. It plugs into my laptop via usb-a then I plug everything out of it. I do still use the laptop power supply directly plugged in to the laptop since gaming takes more power then this will supply.

I would just do express install honestly. And for the heat most cooling pads are junk and hardly do anything, but blow dust in the laptop. I would get this https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07WVK2ZZ9/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o09_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 brought my temps down from 90c gaming to max 80c playing Cyberpunk
If youre against secondhand, this limited time deal on Amazon gets you a Ryzen 5 with AMD's Radeon 7 integrated graphics. Not dedicated card, but you could still push decent framerates at 8 chunks render distance in Minecraft and medium-low settings in the other games. Another option would be the Lenovo IdeaPad Gaming 3, which is permanently going for $700 on Amazon. Its a decently powerful laptop for the price (ryzen 5, gtx 1650).
I would recommend the laptop my brother is using and is pleased with its performance, it is the: ASUS TUF Gaming FX506LI 15.6" Full HD 144Hz Gaming Laptop (Intel i5-10300H, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650Ti, 8 GB RAM, 512 GB SSD, Windows 10), Black
How do you know its the battery? Assuming its a closed laptop with a non-removable battery I would think it would be hard to tell if its specifically the battery. Try using Hardware Monitor to check your temperatures on the CPU and GPU.
I've an Acer nitro 5 as well, this is the one I use and it works relatively well, its a bit loud but I cant hear it at all with my headset.
Most laptops don’t have extra SATA/pcie slots so my guess is that you would have to get an external. I can recommend the sea gate portable drive as an external hard drive, don’t worry these won’t affect performance.
You need to get a kit. 2 sticks with same specs.
Like this.
I'd go for 16 GB. The 2x4 GB kit is 60. The 2x8 GB kit is 80.
I had the same problem. I got a lap desk that has a fan in the bottom. It plus in my usb slot and helps by like 20 degrees easily.
I like the stand because of the adjustable legs but the mousepad holder is quite small and sort of flimsy. Otherwise the fan keeps things cool and the stand keeps it off my lap
I personally don't know if you could find a good and new laptop with 8gb ram under 400 USD. You could either get used laptops. And if not that then you could get a new laptop with i3 10th gen/11th gen(Acer laptops) with 4GB ram and have it upgraded to 8GB separately later on.
If you are okay with that then here are some 2 potential options 1 and 2 ( Minecraft should work just fine with an 8GB ram upgrade. But Blender I am not so sure with the i3 chips)
if you want to help lower the temps you can undervolt or get a good cooling pad like this one
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07WVK2ZZ9/ref=sspa_dk_detail_5?psc=1&pd_rd_i=B07WVK2ZZ9&pd_rd_w=tp1Ak&pf_rd_p=085568d9-3b13-4ac1-8ae4-24a26c00cb0c&pd_rd_wg=h20pp&pf_rd_r=QY0TQR3WFHP8P4KNWCRB&pd_rd_r=2ff9366f-c386-48e4-8ef2-12483c4d4b9e&spLa=ZW5jcnlwdGVkUXVhbGlmaWVyPUFHTFpUT1pCU0pIWE0mZW5jcnlwdGVkSWQ9QTA2MTYxNTExOVpKM1Q5SkNWNks3JmVuY3J5cHRlZEFkSWQ9QTA3Njc0NjcyMk5SNVpJRE1LRkZOJndpZGdldE5hbWU9c3BfZGV0YWlsJmFjdGlvbj1jbGlja1JlZGlyZWN0JmRvTm90TG9nQ2xpY2s9dHJ1ZQ==
there are things you can do to lower it more such as undervolting or if you feel confident opening up the laptop and applying better thermal paste.
Also what cooling pad are you using?
I now use this one https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07WVK2ZZ9/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
it's pretty amazing as it does such a good job cooling my laptops fans rarely ramp up all the way
Downside is that cooler isn't very travel freindly due to it's size being larger then the laptop

I would say go with the HP you get a processer that can boost up to 3.2 plus 128 gigs ssd storage vs only 32 gigs of flash storage.
Unfortunately neither of them have upgradable ram though
I have a Lenovo Y720, I was actually looking into a Thunderbolt docking station also. I found this one : https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B07R68XHZ9/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_glc_i_H5H0V9KEAG0HAYTHKQ7B Any idea how this would do for gaming?
Nice.......It is a good choice, another good choice you can consider is the: Lenovo Legion 5 Gaming Laptop
[ON A BUDGET]
Acer Nitro 5 Gaming Laptop
The Acer Nitro 5 is perfect for beginners in the PC gaming space. praised for its inexpensive price, 'capable 1080p gaming performance,' 256GB SSD, and more.
Getting into PC gaming isn't always accessible when you're on a budget. Some PC towers can cost anywhere in the $1000s (plus more if you're looking to customize certain parts). Lucky for you, there's a much more affordable option if you're just starting out: The Acer Nitro 5.
PROS
CONS
May you have a look into this one right here because I find it is way better than other acer nitro 5 builds I have seen (on amazon at least). Also should I be looking on Amazon or are there any better sites for better deals? https://www.amazon.de/dp/B08777BH1B/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_rQZ-FbJ86616W
Any 32gb kit of sodimm ram should do. Here's a good one. I don't see any point in spending money for 64gb of ram if you're not running a server farm or something
I didn't see much of a performance or temperature boost as I don't push it to the limit but this definitely helped and my thighs no longer sweat
One of the best things I bought for my laptop and use all the time even when not gaming
https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B07V4GTT81?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
haha true, im just worried it might die right after the 1 year mark. what about the cooling? what are your temps under load for both cpu and gpu? and will something like this help? https://www.amazon.ca/Laptop-Cooling-15-6-17-Control-Portable-dp-B07QKR6MB8/dp/B07QKR6MB8/ref=dp_ob_title_ce
also i need because i will be traveling in april so i cannot take my desktop with me, do you think it will be good to wait a few months for the 3060 laptops? or just buy now? as 1700CAD is my budget
I think what you are looking for is DODIMM ddr4 memory which is pretty common on Amazon and many other sites. example
Hey Pal, I would recommend this bad boy:
Hi there, yeah I did a repaste with Arctic MX-4 2019 Edition and my temps didn't improve either. Actually, the performance got even slightly worse, the paste has been open for almost 2 years so it may have gone bad. My Time Spy bench fell from 8150 to 7900 levels on average, indicating they did an actually good pasting job in the factory.
I did a slight undervolt (it was enabled with a recent BIOS update, you can download it from HP Support Website) of -30mV using Throttlestop and it actually slightly lowered my temps and increased the performance. But it's far from "solving" how hot these laptops get.
LM appears to be the only option to decrease the temps without sacrificing performance but it's too risky imo. Even if it is applied correctly, LM forms an alloy with the heatsink when you first apply it so you have to clean it up 1-2 months after the first application and repaste again. It is too much hassle for me.
I bought a nice multi-angle laptop stand (Something like this) and since the keyboard itself doesn't get too hot anyway, I can play without any issues on the couch and on the bed as well as the table.
Despite the heating, I'm really happy with this laptop and after opening the inside, I appreciate the engineering that went into this even more. I upgraded from the mid-2017 Omen (7700HQ, 1070) and the design has come a looong way since then. I still prefer these "2019 refresh" designs over the 2020 design though, feels like a step backwards.
I could just buy another 8gb of ram and have 16gb instead, that graphics card is good but barely higher than the GTX 1650 for the price, the processor is decent and can run through some games. Otherwise, if you are under a budget of 1000 for gaming (im under 800) i recommend this https://www.amazon.com/Acer-i7-9750H-MaxxAudio-Keyboard-AN515-54-728C/dp/B08777BH1B/ref=sr_1_1?dchild=&s=electronics&sr=1-1&th=1
I'm looking at this also. It's $2350 on Amazon compared to $2000 at Costco, so there's that nice "it's a bargain" feeling. I was hoping for reviews on Amazon, but there aren't any.
Did you buy it? I might take a chance on it, because Costco gives you 90 days to return it and the return experience is painless.
Amazon says that the SSD is "512GB NVMe PCIe SSD (256GB x2 RAID0)". I looked up RAID0. Apparently it makes the SSD even faster by simultaneously writing a file to stripes on the two SSDs instead of writing it to one SSD or the other. Apparently it doesn't diminish the capacity of the SSDs; it doesn't provide any redundancy / protection against failure.
Hey I would highly recommend practically any variation of the HP Omen 15. Although I have the 1050ti variant from 2018 it's still stupid fast when it comes to normal everyday tasks thanks to the onboard Intel Optane. Seriously these things are built like tanks, have nice minimalist bezels and have an aesthetic that looks really cool but isn't really over the top gamery like Asus or MSI like to do. I would steer clear of the i7-8750H models though because they run super hot on stock (although I was able to bring down temps by 20 C by using throttlestop). Keyboard is functional and so is the trackpad. The display also pops a considerable amount. Even though I have a 1050TI from last gen in mine it still runs most games perfectly fine as long as I keep my expectations in check. Honestly, there are so many models with different processors, graphics cards, screens, SSDs etc... Here's a relatively inexpensive one I found on Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/HP-15-Inch-i7-9750H-Processor-15-dc1020nr/dp/B07SG1DY8T/ref=sr_1_4?keywords=hp+omen+15&qid=1575272040&sr=8-4 . If you have any questions let me know!
How much are you willing to pay and how long do you want to have the laptop. The main issue with laptops at a lower price end is that they have the risk of breaking within a few years purely based on build or the hardware becomes outdated. If your willing to pay more than $568 then I very highly recommend this laptop: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B086KKKT15/ref=as_li_qf_asin_il_tl?ie=UTF8&tag=dav0d2-20&creative=9325&linkCode=as2&creativeASIN=B086KKKT15&linkId=5b47cf80b0b5d049dfcd10a541c377ff. It costs $670 but absolutely kicks ass for the price. The cpu is amazing and can even play more games than just Minecraft and WoW like valorant, etc. It has 8gb of ram and a fingerprint reader while the cpu is 8 cores and 16 threads. If you want to know more about the laptop watch this YouTube video Dave Lee made: https://youtu.be/xDmRpcQQPUo. This laptop I very highly recommend if you wanna game modded Minecraft and have a laptop that also works for other purposes.
That I'm not sure. Maybe check youtube videos about it. The problem isn't actually the plastic outer part, the problem is inside part. https://www.amazon.com/HK-part-Bracket-E5-575G-E5-575T-E5-575TG/dp/B073ZD8411 Here are the hinges, look at how thin they are near the end, that's where it gets broken. So maybe now you'll get an idea and can think about a fix.
Get a cooling pad for it, I have a similar ASUS, and it can get toasty, you can get them for cheap. I got this one and its pretty good. https://www.amazon.com/HV-F2056-15-6-17-Laptop-Cooler-Cooling/dp/B00NNMB3KS/ref=sxin_7_ac_d_pm?ac_md=2-1-QmV0d2VlbiAkMjUgYW5kICQ1MA%3D%3D-ac_d_pm&crid=2J4Z2FAV6FJ01&cv_ct_cx=laptop+cooling+pad&dchild=1&keywords=laptop+cooling+pad&pd_rd_i=B00NNMB3KS&pd_rd_r=76bfba18-e5b4-44d0-822e-901c1e81ddd4&pd_rd_w=MD8fk&pd_rd_wg=OrR0D&pf_rd_p=6fa2c4b2-cf77-4ff1-a22d-406e154f5c4b&pf_rd_r=E2D8VFFVDJ255RB7QB48&psc=1&qid=1596374388&sprefix=laptop%2Caps%2C235&sr=1-2-22d05c05-1231-4126-b7c4-3e7a9c0027d0
For me, mouse included, it was under $1000.
The specific Nitro 7 I got was $900, with the mouse being $60. Both of them are in rn and I’m very happy I chose them.
It was ordered through Amazon, just make sure you select the one with 8/256 gb. You’ll probably need to buy more storage later, but it’ll likely be cheaper if you buy the right thing.
Asus Zephyrus S GX 701
ROG Zephyrus S GX701 Gaming Laptop, 17.3" 144Hz Full HD IPS, GeForce RTX 2080, Intel Core i7-9750H Processor, 32GB DDR4, 1TB PCIe Nvme SSD Hyper Drive, Windows 10 Pro, GX701GX-XB78 https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07QSJ6VWQ/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_TficDbW6VDE1Q
The only thing I don't think it has available is the 4k screen, because I don't think they make 4k screens with bezels that thin yet. It has everything else you're looking for though.
Note: this card does make use of specific chipset features. So replacing it with a different [non-Intel] card could potentially hinder performance. But that specific card can be had for around $19. https://www.amazon.com/Intel-Wireless-AC-9560-2230-Gigabit/dp/B07G42J6KQ
That Alienware is complete shit for $700 man I'll be honest, 2gb of vram is like the bare minimum right now.
Go with the Helios 300 or shop Dell outlet for a G7/G5/Alienware 15 r4/XPS 15 9570. They always have extra coupons at "retail me not" for an extra 13% or so off the cheaper prices shown.

The dell is a good laptop but I want something more. I did look into the MSI you mentioned and that is a awesome laptop.
I was also looking at this laptop, and comparing this one with the MSI https://www.amazon.com/Gaming-i7-8750H-Display-Gigabit-FX504GM-ES74/dp/B07F6K21HJ/ref=sr_1_24?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1538013051&sr=1-24&refinements=p_n_condition-type%3A2224371011
I was also looking at the Acer Predator Helios, but I seen the cooling system on it and I didn’t like how the set up of that was. Amazing laptop, but the cooling was why I wouldn’t get it.
Thanks for your response!
go for this laptop-

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B06Y4GZS9C/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER&psc=1 is this the one you mean? It seems its on sale too and is cheaper.. but is there any downsides I should know about? From what I can see the only thing worse seems to be the storage space, which is at only 256. That's not a huge problem, I do have a 1TB external hard drive, but will this out-perform the omen for things I mentioned before, like VR?
This is the cooler i use on my Dell Inspiron 7567 and I think it works pretty well. the two fans line up perfectly with the open fan spots on the bottom.
Dell inspiron 7567 user here. I5, GTX 1050, 8Gb ram, 1920x1080 TN panel. $800 at best buy, great laptop in my opinion. To prevent it from getting hot while gaming though, i just purchased a laptop cooler on amazon and it works great. the only thing about this laptop is I noticed almost all games get capped at 30FPS when on battery right off the bat even when switching to performance mode in power settings.
Get this: https://www.amazon.com/Eluktronics-P650RP6-Premium-Gaming-Laptop/dp/B01LYOTO9B/
Ignore the fact that it only has a 128GB SSD, and get this: https://www.reddit.com/r/techsupport/comments/5odphh/how_is_this_ssd_from_hp_so_inexpensive/
Or if that doesn't work for you, get a 512GB NVMe SSD through a normal listing.
I recently bought a new laptop for myself after consulting on reddit and am very happy with the purchase. You might wanna take a look at this regardless of your final decision. https://www.amazon.com/Omen-Laptop-NVIDIA-i7-6700HQ-Windows/dp/B01M8MRYBX/ref=sr_1_1?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1486469456&sr=1-1&keywords=hp%2Bomen%2B1070&th=1
This is the one I have except I have 16GB of RAM instead of 8GB. I believe you are allowed to upgrade the RAM as well as the SSD. HP OMEN 15: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01I4H0KSM/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_TqcAyb7EZQY09 Runs CS:GO and Rocket League above 60fps.
I know its been a while, but I eventually decided on this, not sure about DS3 but it runs BO3 just fine. I recommend it for $800 range
I only say this because its what I bought and I heavily researched for about a month, your average google search will say that this is the way to go, however its an i5. I know the link says $822 but it raises and drops. I've seen it $800-$850, anyways, this is the fruit of my labor for anyone who wants it.
Well, honestly, for that GPU if you're insisting on buying that one -- Just get a Dell Inspiron 7559
Save yourself some money in the process.
I highly recommend this one: https://www.amazon.com/Dell-15-6-Inch-Quad-Core-i5-6300HQ-Processor/dp/B015PYYDMQ
With the new graphic cards out, I would normally suggest something that has those but at your budget and requirement you really don't need it (especially since they general start at $1400). gtx960m will easily be able to play csgo and is within the confines of your budget. As you can tell from the reviews, it's a good laptop for the price point.
With a budget of $2000 you arent going to have the slightest problem finding an i7 with a 960m at least.
Heres the lowest model id recommend you with your budget. This is gonna play thing on medium-high 30-50's FPS ASUS K501UW-AB78 15.6-inch Full-HD Gaming Laptop (Intel Core i7, GTX 960M, 8GB DDR4, 512GB SSD) Glacier Grey

(Still researching)
OP, Dragon's Dogma is an incredibly well-optimized port whereas BnS is not. You could run all of Dark Arisen on a 960M, but don't expect to max out BnS on anything that's short of a 970M.
Can't speak for Acer's quality, but in your price range something like this will work: http://www.amazon.com/Acer-VN7-591G-792U-Generation-GeForce-Windows/dp/B01CL4X6KS/ref=sr_1_1?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1464394125&sr=1-1&keywords=gaming+laptop+960&refinements=p_36%3A-80000
^ heads up that the screen and hard drive speed suck. Your focus is that GPU anyway so you should be able to find better.
