Maybe try a randomizer of some kind? I know there are several available and I'm sure you can find them by googling "Marvel Legendary randomizer," but I've seen this one highly recommended: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ctgilley.marvellegendaryrandomizer
I use smart randomizer for android. You can make it do random team ups or make it do smart with emphasis on team or classes
You can get a 500 count box of Deck Guard sleeves for $19.94 with Prime on Amazon.
Many of the reviewers recommend them for Legendary.

My family and I have just started playing this too in the past month or so. We have base + XMen so far.
I just downloaded an Android randomizer this weekend, and have only used it once. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ctgilley.marvellegendaryrandomizer&hl=en_US
It has a Pure Random option for your hero deck, or "Smart" option. Which I assume tries to balance things out (Although I'm not sure what it does to claims itself as smart - even colors? even recruit/combat?). We've played it once with the randomizer so far, and it was... okay. I felt it was balanced, but my wife was a bit less positive on the experience.
I think she really likes hand picking heroes for the deck though, as part of the fun. So I might only use the randomizer for Villian/Scheme ideas moving forward.
We use the legendary randomizer https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ctgilley.marvellegendaryrandomizer It's brilliant at choosing everything and allows us to get to setup right away.
Lol random story. We had a new friend over and were playing. After our first game we let him pick everything by asking questions. After he chose heroes we asked who he wanted to fight. Thanos he says... Shit. Ok. We fought Thanos... Got our asses kicked... Oh well Good times
Since yours is out of stock I’ve decided on this one. It’s seems to be a tiny bit smaller but that’s no biggie and the price is amazing.
A few options:
Use a randomizer like this one. It has a few sliding scales where you can weight your heroes to match your villains or to share colors and team affiliations. It's helpful.
My boyfriend and I have discovered that, while we like the app, it seems to feature a few heroes dramatically more than others. This is probably due to randomness combined with the weighting system. Either way, I have now generated a google doc that I've used to setup games recently, which is semi-random. Basically, I have a list of the setup elements that selects from the top section of the list. When a card is used, it goes to the bottom. This is intended to decrease repetition and ensure that cards are played in relatively even frequencies. I added notes to my personal doc so I know if a villain group requires a specific color, and also notes for the heroes to highlight what they do well. That way I can always make sure my semi-random selection doesn't completely screw us out of dealing with a threat.
they also have bigger ones, I have 2 of the 4 row cases by them
I personally bought a few cases of Dragon Shield clear classics, for this, Red Dragon Inn, and some other games. They work really well and I have had only one DS sleeve ever fail on me and that was a manufacturers defect out of the box.
I also got the BCW 3200ct storage box with some extra dividers, its a self stacking card tray that works really well and has a built in locking lid. https://www.amazon.com/BCW-3200-Collectible-Card-Bin/dp/B08JH9P1DJ/
Can really do anything! Last night I set up 2 Doctor Strange themed games in celebration of the new movie, but other times I generate fully random setups (Wheel of Fate is my favorite app for this). It really depends on what I feel like. If I've been watching movies or reading comics, I'll pick stuff based on that, but if I want a mix of random stuff in a way you can only get in Legendary, I'll let the app decide. When my girlfriend joins in I'll usually limit it to 1 or 2 expansions to limit the number of keywords. Recently I've often been picking an (epic) mastermind I want to fight, and let the app generate a setup for it. Other times I'll know most of a setup based on a certain theme or mechanic, and let the app pick the last heroes and villains.
I've got a spreadsheet of all my plays so I'll rarely play a scheme twice (since I've not played with most of my schemes yet), and can limit repeat heroes showing up if I want.
It was a set that packaged all of the Marvel 3D Trading Card Promotional Heroes together.
I don't remember the exact details, but it was something like 1 Legendary card was included in each pack, then a couple promotional sketch variant cards were in each box. As you can imagine, it took opening a crapload of packs to get a full, correct, 14 card hero set. A few were just alternate art of core set heroes (Deadpool and Hulk I think I remember, maybe more) but 4 had never gotten an official release - Howard the Duck, Man-thing, Ms. America, and Squirrel Girl. Jessica Jones was done dirty and tossed into this frankentstein set.
I have everything for Marvel and Buffy, all sleeved using these. I haven’t had any problems whatsoever.
I use these on everything, only had 1 or 2 split and a few of the oldest ones are showing some light scratches but that's after a solid hundred plays
These sleeves on Amazon are cheap alternatives and are comparable to Dragon Shield. I use them for all my CCG and LCG's.
I'll jump in!
First, you got some really good expansions already, so well done! I think Dark City is an absolute must-have. Beyond that, it always comes down to personal preference, but I will advocate for Champions as I think it's a bit underrated.
Solo play is fun. The game is designed to be a co-op, so it works better with multiple players, but I play a lot of solo and it works well to me (save a few schemes). And like others have mentioned, you can play two-handed if you prefer.
You absolutely need sleeves for this game in my opinion. Your starting hand goes through so much shuffling that those cards will wear out. I would encourage you to get transparent sleeves as cards move between decks and hands all the time. Personally, I use the MayDay Sleeves, but if you have a preference, most any will work.
Welcome to a new addiction! It's very fun but makes your wallet cry at times!
I can't find the weird store I bought them from, but I got these. https://www.amazon.com/LaTCG-YuGiOh-Cardfight-Vanguard-Sleeves/dp/B00LAJ8J4O I really like them, and think they fit perfectly without being too expensive or cheap. I got them for $2.50/100 IIRC, I will try to find the store and edit my comment. Another competitor for me was SleeveKings, but I got free shipping plus a free $5 from the other store.
DeElf or Panda Sleeves fit perfectly and cheapest way to sleeve the game

Sure. For this project, I use Google Firebase. Since it is just a static page (there is no server-side). The free plan is very generous for hosting. I don't know the architecture of yours, but if it could fit into using serverless the free plan for cloud functions + firestore database is also generous. But, If your project requires a traditional server I would suggest Heroku. It also has a good free plan.
320 for $13, comes out to .04 a sleeve.
You should probably look for some hobbyist online retailer that gives a real price break on a large order but if not these are the ones I've been ordering for digimon tcg and they're far better and cheaper than the well known cheap brands. I got some ultrapro standard sleeves the other day becauae my sleeve recent order hadnt come in and I was shocked at how much worse quality they were than these Zoopins.
Both playmats were created using GIMP
I created an overlay for the images I wanted to use making sure that the final product fit within the image parameters over at InkedGaming.com
The bulk of the editing involved adding the transparent boxes and text, both of which are pretty simple tasks for a novice.
I use a combo of wooden storage boxes I got off of etsy for general storage and then Ultimate Guard boxes for travel.
I keep all the base cards (agents, wounds, sidekicks, bystanders, etc, and play mat) in this UG box: Ultimate Guard Superhive 550+ Purple https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B076NXZL2P/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_glt_fabc_9SST38HHH2ZFE8B9GTG1?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
And then have just the UG 400+ box with boulder boxes for travel. This holds 2-4 game sets depending on how many people are playing 😊
To add on to sleeve recommendations, I use Titan Shield Clear Matte. I personally do not like penny sleeves and these are kinda in the middle piece wise.
Such a popular question. Unfortunately no one can answer definitely. Expansions get reprinted but at inconsistent times.
Also this is the first I have heard of Revelations being unavailable. I was able to pick it up last year around this time from Amazon for cheap. Looks like it’s a bit more expensive now though so it may be out of print.

Hello and welcome to the game! The base set is widely available, you can find it here, for example.
Yes, a few expansions like X-Men and Villains have been out of print for a while. However, there are so many expansions available that you'd have plenty of new stuff to play.
I recommend getting familiar with the base set, then moving on to Dark City as your first expansion when you're ready.
"This item will be released on December 1, 2021."
This is the exact one I have an use. It’s “self-laminating” and can be put on one side only if you desire. I originally had both the sticker paper and lamination sheets to make stickers.
Minority opinion here in that I don't regularly sleeve my cards. Now granted, that is because I don't typically get my deck builders and such to the table as much as I would like, but I am with you and get your concerns.
I say all that to say...I have sleeved all "shit ton" (I'm not counting them) of my Legendary cards. I noticed some wear on the constant use cards and while I still have cards that have never been shuffled into a game, I didn't want to buy a new core box. I got some sleeves via Amazon that seemed like a good deal because I don't get it to the table a ton, and I'm really happy with it. I also have Marvel Champions (I like Marvel but Legendary and Champions are just really fun and mechanically strong games) and I just committed myself in posting this to sleeve that as well.

I just got done sleeving my entire collection with these and do recommend doing so. Yes it takes up a lot more space, but it's worth it.

Here's a link for the sleeves I use, and yes sleeving is a necessity.
I started down this path and remain about 80% completed. The tedium wears on you. I highly recommend using these:
TruLam Laminating Pouches -... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07K8XG2KD?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
The only single box storage I've seen that may work is the BCW monster storage box Amazon link
I don't think there is a good single carry box solution either. I don't think I want to carry 5000 cards in one box as I think it gets heavy fast especially if you sleeve, in my case I double sleeve...
I'm going with the Hobby Lobby artist cases. I ordered 4 of them as they were on sale last week for $26 and I'm going to paint them and replace the hardware like this guy did boardgamegeeks
2 boxes are for Marvel Legendary, 1 for Legendary Encounters Alien/Predator sets and one for Marvel Champions when it comes out.
If you haven't picked up Revelations yet, its the best bang for your buck via Amazon right now

and these for the inner: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B074Z2JP2Y/
blue isn't exact, but close enough. also not the best in the world, but fairly reasonable price-wise, especially when ordering in bulk, and does the trick.
Found at a FLGS. Any game store that would sell playmats probably also sells tubes. This one is nice because it's actually shaped like a rounded triangle, so it doesn't roll.
Here it is on Amazon: https://smile.amazon.com/Playmat-Tube-Monster-Protectors-Prism-shaped/dp/B008NEOE48
These are the ones that I use and I live them. Feel tight on the cards and cheaper. Ultra Pro 100 Pcs Soft Card Sleeves, 2 5/8 x 3 5/8-Inches (5 Pack) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00CV859XC/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_clxRAbAKEM6JE
It's up now. Although looking at the price for now...
Personally, I got Dark City and Guardians of the Galaxy. Dark City is pretty much what is suggested all the time. There's some pretty great stuff in there, that's for sure. My small expansion is Guardians of the Galaxy. I liked the movie and I think it'll be a great way to introduce my wife and brother to Thanos and the Infinity Gems. They know the characters from guardian.. so that's a really big plus. I also plan on getting some props to replace the Crystal Shards token by actual colored acrylic chunks. Pretty excited.
I just received my game in the mail today so.. I'm pretty excited.
