Damn I should have specified when we talked. When I say glue, I automatically mean krazy glue.
I have tried gorilla, or elmer, that is jsut not strong enough, it needs to never come apart.
I could club a man with the legs as they are now, haha.
Resale is out of the question though, and disassembly will never happen.
Not sure where you are, but these are the baseplates I used - https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B01AC3G9U4/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Some would argue that "intellectual property" is theft.
Some would argue that the very notion of "intellectual property" is absurd.
Personally, I don't think Lepin did anything morally wrong. Yes, it may be illegal in the West, but that doesn't make it morally wrong. Morality & legality are two very different and distinct concepts!
By "Titanic" do you mean the ship or just a massive set?! If it's the ship, I would recommend the COBI 1:300 version with 2840 bricks. I luck out and bought one on sale at US$80 a few weeks back on Titanic's anniversary.

I've been using Toys Factory lately and had no substantial problems. I've ordered 6 sets, and all 6 have been mostly fine.
The only item to note is that they will combine multiple sets into a single box to save on shipping. The problem is that they break apart the tightly packed shipping bags, and put loose bags in together, separated by a piece of cardboard. That will let a bag move between sets, which is annoying, but not the end of the world as the bags are numbered with the set ID. It presents an opportunity for bags to get lost on their end.
I was missing a bag of 30 red 1x4 tiles for the grand carousel, which I assume was missed/dropped/lost when they combined sets. I didn't bother with a dispute as the replacements were $1.50 on bricklink.
Just order only 1 set at a time, and you'll be fine. DHL shipping is included in all their sets, so it makes no difference.
In case of new sets there will be no feedback. Shop rating and shop feedback should matter than.
Also feedback can be fake. Look at the link itself. Lemme make an example: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/LEPIN-Nexo-Knights-The-Fortrex-Combination-Marvel-Building-Blocks-Kits-Toys-Minifigures-Compatible-Legeod-70317-Nexus/32751234101.html
It was LEPIN-Nexo-Knights-The-Fortrex. The name in the link cannot be changed I guess, so some sellers use old items they've sold to completely change the description. So they get new sets with feedback.
Yes. They are pretty much exact to the official ones.
Got these delivered yesterday:
It's usually written on the pictures. "Presell" if it's presell and "Actuals" if it's out.
You can also ask seller if certain item is in stock.
Should be in stock here, for example: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/-/32784033648.html
I would recommend using website directly. App isn't that good in terms of both searching and browsing shop's contents.
And I forgot to mention that you should search sets by set codes (Lepin set codes), because some sellers avoid using Original Lego naming as they are afraid to violate rules (they even write Lego as Legao ot L-g0 or something like that). And I guess you've searched for "Star Destroyer"? It's Lepin 05027
Luckily everything is catalogued btw: https://batsieblocks.blogspot.com/2016/11/lepin-sets.html
The store you've picked doesn't have much orders, but rating is good.
How about this one https://www.aliexpress.com/item/-/32739246752.html ?
Though delivery methods are different. It's up to you.
For me, it's mostly about convenience - I can just drive 10 minuten to the nearest toy store, but plates from Aliexpress take weeks to arrive.
That being said, I have ordered these and these. The latter ones are amazing quality, but they're as thick as normal Lego plates, not base plates. The former ones are good for the price as well, but they have holes.
I'm in the US. The message follows
'sam shi: Hello, dear friend, Thank you for your support during the passing 2016.We hope our items have bring you happiness, and looking forward our next cooperation. We are so sorry to tell you that for the 2017 new rules of Aliexpress, we have to sell the builling block toys and minifigures separately. So we will put off the shelf of our all minifugures.Do not worry,it won't influence the order had made. We will sell them in our new shop“Aliexpress Blocks 2.0”
https://www.aliexpress.com/store/1724925
For our apology to bring you trouble, our new shop will discount for one month. Best wishes'
So it looks like it's minifigures and blocks rather than blocks and directions, very strange.
Thank you very much for all the great pictures! Looks amazing!
If you want to replace the broken mast rigging - you can get those pieces for a couple of bucks on Aliexpress: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/Show-Z-Tribute-L-E-G-O-Replica-Parts-boat-cylinder/32630370488.html
Was my first XingBao kit and I found the plastic was somehow different than the one I knew from other China kits - maybe something to do with the manufacturing process? Anyway, maybe this is also the reason that some bricks have very little clamping force. For this reason, I classify the set as very poorly playable, although it would be perfectly suitable from the functionality (movable arms / legs and driver's cab). But it looks great as a mech on the shelf - which was also the reason why I bought it. The alternative construction vehicle (2in1) can be built with the instructions that you can easily download as a PDF. There were no missing parts or miscasts. I found it a good kit, but only conditionally recommendable.

Dude, it’s on Amazon, & they have a movie file of it moving. I’d never be able to sleep with this in my house! t-800
Just wanna chime in and help! The lepin base plates match these from amazon, and they are resonably priced. They are thick, not the real thin ones. https://www.amazon.com/Premium-Charcoal-Gray-Stackable-Plates/dp/B01K8RO81G/ref=sr_1_11?ie=UTF8&qid=1491849881&sr=8-11&keywords=10%22+base+plate
They come in multiple colors as well. I love them and they have great clutch!
I'v e got it paired now, apparently it won't work with rechargable batteries which is a pain. The only annoying thing now is the app says incompatible for every device I try (and apk download services).
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.qunyu.yuxing
Thanks
I see that they still have transparent base plates (non-stackable) that are 50x50 studs.
https://www.amazon.com/Strictly-Briks-Baseplates-Building-Compatible/dp/B01AC4G4TE
They call the stackable plates "Classic Brik Tower Tower Sets."
Ordered it off Aliexpress, Dreamhouse seller. link to page
Came in quick and easy
For £8.97 ($10.00?) you can get a wagon along with five pieces of track. I've never used Ausini so can't speak to the quality, might be okay though for a wagon basically costing $2.00
Actually this wagon looks like a knock off of an Enlighten brick one I bought a few years ago. Seems the Chinese knock offs are knocking each other off now!
I've been happy with ToysLepin block Store. Quick delivery, communicates within a few hours and product as described. Received my UCS Falcon with all parts
So 32 x 32 https://www.aliexpress.com/item/-/32703301663.html
Many orders, good marks, looks like Lego ones. There's pic in reviews.
And 32 x 16 https://www.aliexpress.com/item/-/32673983054.html
Same here.
This is it?
Shipping time was decent. I think it was 18 days from pressing "buy".
I used Touch Toy Co, Ltd. It was $38 when I bought it.
I'd buy from them again. Any errors were Lepin.....well, except one I failed to mention.
They packed the bag so tight, the decals for the model were crumbled. One had fallen off the decal sheet, but my son found it wrapped around another part.
They all stuck fine and looked fine when I smoothed them out.
Still, pretty smooth process and $38 was a great deal, at least to me.
4.5k pieces. Afaik Lepin never printed parts list in the end of the instruction like Lego.
There's instruction available online. Well. Prices are shown on each page, but 4.5k prices.
Maybe it is still available somewhere on taobao?
You can also buy baseplates here that are cheaper and are the same thickness as the lego ones: (can confirm and have bought many)
Great bricks, none has been missing, super stickers (which you have to rub so a little on it), perfect manual and a working running screen function. The only shortcoming are the "tubes" which are supposed to serve as controller cables. They are much too stiff and therefore do not lay down like a real cable. This MOC also doesn't have to shy away from a direct comparison with the original Famicom console. A really very nice set that I can only recommend!

I haven't seen any yet. Then again, I haven't really been looking for them. I'm more after the Star Wars UCS copies and City sets.
aliexpress is a good place to look
Also, apparently Lepin has an official website now. It is a bit hard to navigate (as it is in chinese) but they have lists of all their official sets. Just poke around a bit, you'll find something.
I bought these, highly recommend for organization.

If anyone is curious, this is the link I got them from, still $16. Took a bit of a risk but I think and actual box makes these worth the price.

i think amazon gets slept on mainly cause its a pain in the fucking ass to search. i picked up 2 modular buildings for what it would cost to get them from china. with prime so i had something to do on the friday after thanks giving.
i know other people have gotten sick deals on modular from mold king last prime day. you also get amazon customer service which is pretty no nonsense on returns.
i always like getting the box. i know why we dont but they are fun lol. (i wonder if we get big packages if we could ask for teh boxes flat, like you dont need to pack em i just want the packaging) mainly cause i want to give them as gifts and i dont mind getting a drug package of bricks, but it looks a tad odd to everyone else.
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08Y1HBW7J?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details best one I've found. Aft is a little tough to put together and the mast/rigging needs patience but otherwise my favorite ship build and really great value.
So I generally stick to Lego-brand stuff, but when it comes to military stuff, one has to seek other options. I've gotten burned by a couple Chinese tanks, but fell in love with Cobi after one kit (their Sherman EZ8 is brilliant). I found a second-hand bucket of military-themed Tyco Super Blocks at a local antique store a while back, but it was missing parts, so they mostly sat in the bucket.
But recently, my dad got into the Amazon Vine program- basically they send him (or us) stuff to review for free. One of the options was a set of Lego-compatible gear- weapons, armor, etc- that also comes with six minifigures. Shortly after assembling and reviewing them (they look great, esp for the price, but they DO have fitment issues), I remembered the Tyco bucket, and MOCed a not-Lego troop carrier for my not-Lego squad of soldiers. Then I Bricklink'ed a bunch of 1x1 clip tiles to build a gun wall for the surplus armaments.
It's been a fun week.

Just to clarify, I'm not the dev, just cross posted the video to this sub.
Here are the links to the app stores
Here is the Amazon link. Currently $79.99 with an additional 15% off coupon. I got it from this link back in July for $39.99 so if you watch, it may go down.
Has anyone bought and built the leopard 2a4 set sold by nifeliz on Amazon? I've been looking for any reviews but I haven't been able to find anything on this set at all other than a single Amazon review.
It was mostly curved pieces around the nose cone, and the dish pieces on the bottom. You can see in the pictures it blends in very well. Maybe I lucked out with the color but I just lightly sanded the pieces then used 4 or 5 coats of the orange from this set which I already had https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B09N3BP5ZM. Then a final coat of satin polyurethane lacquer. I think if you look at the rebrickable comments there are other suggestions for paints to use.
I am not too informed but cada has a nice set of power functions
https://www.amazon.de/KEAYO-Lithium-Akku-Fernbedienung-Servomotoren-Verl%C3%A4ngerungskabel/dp/B08VR8V9LM
the german amazon was the first i found but this is more or less an example
So i found the sets on amazon https://www.amazon.com/Nifeliz-Medieval-Building-Impressive-Display/dp/B09JJQMD64 and they’re from a rebrickable design i know it’s one of those generic brands that take peoples designs but i have been wanting to make a moc with the lego blacksmith so do you think i should get some of these
I built the Venator. Good looking model. This is a copy of the review I left on Amazon:
The bricks were good, no defects, good tight fit. Was missing one piece but had 12+ extra pieces. Instructions are good. The design could be better. The top half connects to the bottom half by a 1x2 and a 2x2, which are in the middle and rear, with nothing connecting the front, which makes it a bit floppy.
Once assembled, the model is a bit fragile, definitely a display piece rather than a play piece. A stand is included, which was a nice bonus.
Link to the one I bought:
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09HXNHKYF?ref=ppx_pop_dt_b_asin_title&th=1
I sort by colour and sometimes split out larger pieces. If the bags aren't numbered and there aren't any easily recognisable pieces for each section of the instructions then you have no choice other than to empty them all out.
This is a bit niche, but my house is old and suffers with damp so I buy moisture traps, but the refills cost more than the units themselves, therefore I buy a new unit each time I need a refill. I save the plastic base pieces from each of the new ones and use them for sorting my lego.
If I didn't have them, I'd get something similar to these
I’m on bag 14 of the Jie Star falcon. Quality is fantastic. So far no missing or deformed pieces and you could never tell it wasn’t Lego unless you looked for the stud branding.
Depending on your display space I’d highly recommend the vertical stand as well. I purchased one from Amazon from the link below. I mounted the falcon on the stand after bag 12 and it was fairly easy.

>Is this a set or an MOC?
Good question!
It's a modified version of a set sold exclusively by Modbrix / Brigamo.
I built according to manual, then modified the sign to add printed parts, replaced the newspapers and tweaked the part of the stand holding the newspapers, so they wouldn't fall out.
Unfortunately Amazon seems to have taken down the listing I bought
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09N7XTNZL/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_i_X4V9R5V11N40A5EM9MD5
This link is to something similar but I can't comment on the quality of these
I found this while shopping. BrickKK has an Amazon storefront now.
$110 - $30 coupon. And it ships from a USA warehouse possibly in retail cardboard packaging.
You can find it a little cheaper on AliExpress $73-75, but it could take a couple months to ship from China.
https://www.amazon.com/Building-Construction-Anniversary-Collectible-Mechanical/dp/B09TFM13JD
No I had to buy the stand separate I actually got it from Amazon 😄
Millennium Falcon Vertical Display Bracket for Lego 75192 Starship Model,Sturdy Stand Building Kit,Best Gift and Movie Collectible for Adults(407 PCS) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B085L3738H/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_i_VZ07QM631S259YBKQ6QS?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
Well, if just two sets can be called a "haul".
Thanks to /u/Bricks4lifeVIP for alerting us to the MK 13080 Vintage Bugatti 50T. It was $110 w/$10 coupon. It sold out, and now it's only available in the PF version for $170.
I also got a 1:12 RC car Hoonicorn (Happy Build YC-QC005) I didn't include a picture because it came from China in a plain brown box (probably to get through U.S. customs) inside an Amazon box. It has a 30% off coupon which lowers the price to $63. (its PF stuff is worth $35ish) https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08P1LPS41/
I also found but didn't get a Dagobah playset MOC for $38 (cheaper than Vonado) https://www.amazon.com/Dagobah-Playset-Building-Collectible-Creative/dp/B08R8PDNWM/
Just bought this myself, waiting till it gets shipped. Interesting enough, I did find a seller that was shipping the correct parts painted to match here:
Wondering if anyone else bout them?
I've bought two of these and found no issues: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/Hot-Toys-for-Chirldren-Ausini-Building-Blocks-Rail-Tracks-for-Train-Straight-Curved-Tracks-to-Make/32537497644.html?spm=2114.13010608.0.0.veC7e9
The only feedback is they fit very tightly together but connect fine to official Lego tracks and support official Lego trains. I should note that the colour is light bluish grey, compared the dark bluish grey of the official lego tracks which can be overlooked for the sheer price.
This is the item I bought (vendor name is Toys Factory I believe):
Every single piece was there except there were 3 hinges that were mis-sized (had them in 2x2 instead of 2x1) but it didn't affect the build, and one small irrelevant piece I couldn't find.
Found only one seller has tracks. No reviews on them unfortunately. Do they look like ones you need?
I've had good experience with this shop recently, though bought Decool, not Lepin: https://www.aliexpress.com/store/2493028
Also good idea is to search set you want to buy and filter it by "4 stars or higher" mark and seller's rating, so you'll get the most ordered items first to check for reviews and feedback. I don't remember dealing with exceptionally bad sellers while buying blocks or minifigs at Ali, so just check up the rating - should not lower than 97-98%
I'd cancel and reorder from another seller. I bought the UCS Falcon and Death Star from Toys Factory and they shipped in about 4 days, and received it three days later.
Is that a Thomas the tank engine knock off on the bottom left?
Nifeliz sells it on Amazon too for $95, but they don't give you this cool UrGe box, they have a simpler black one.
https://www.amazon.com/Nifeliz-Aquarium-Building-Engineering-Construction/dp/B098JNZDNZ/
Presell price is 68$ + delivery fee.
https://www.aliexpress.com/wholesale?SearchText=Lepin+15029
Btw if you shorten links like I do, now use www. in front of aliexpress.com or it won't work as they've changed something.
And 1 more thing I've spotted. For example item description:
LELE 30005 Lepin 15008 2462Pcs City Street Creator Green Grocer Model Building Kits Minifigure Blocks Bricks Compatible 10185
And the name in the link https://www.aliexpress.com/item/Lepin-15008-2462Pcs-City-Street-Creator-Green-Grocer-Model-Building-Kits-Minifigure-Blocks-Bricks-Compatible-With/32697311374.html
No sign of Lele in the link. Lol, what the hell are they doing?
Btw I was widely confused while making Lepin and Sheng Yuan model lists. Sellers mix names so much. I still have no idea if Lepin Minecraft is real.
You can get these exact ones from Amazon right here: Star Wars 212th Attack Battalion Commander Cody Clone Trooper Army Set https://www.amazon.com/dp/B098BL54VQ/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_EJVMA0V57F5GP53AS6DB?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
I believe I've posted this before, but i primarily sort into this, as it's easy to pack up should I need the table. It's currently out of stock. I also use several disposable screw top food storage bowls.

Found one right here on AliExpress.
Same. This is the best price that I've found:link
His falcon was only 160 when it was listed.
Together they went up 50 bucks. He also completely delisted his falcon which was the cheapest on aliexpress
Am I reading this right, $155 for two lots of three modular buildings?
I ordered my first Lepin from Teng Can e-commerce LTD: https://www.aliexpress.com/store/1835350
Contact: Haven't contacted the seller yet
Shipping: Ordered Sept 23 and it arrived in S. Florida on Oct 5, so 12 days. I've pruchased a lot from aliexpress but this was my first time where the seller used SF Express. Declared as a gift, I think $15. No issues with customs.
Packaging: I received individual clear plastic bags packed inside of a strong polybag.
Missing Pieces: It's not fully complete yet but missing the large tube that goes in the back in the "engine" area and a unique control piece near one of the chairs.
It wasn't THAT frustrating. I realized right away that having a few picks helped a lot with getting the rubber bands through and holding them. I've got good sized hands and just don't have the dexterity to do them without something like that. This was my first gun build so I don't really have anything to compare it to.
I've got some cheap ones from Harbor Freight that look like these. They helped a lot.
For some reason, WM clone troopers in white and 212th version are available on amazon:
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09DJYXR1C/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apan_glt_fabc_P0YG0FKQFYXY4Y5N9KK6
Meanwhile, no mention of their existence anywhere else?? Does anybody know if these are from WM actually? And why arent they on other sites..?
A joy to build, and as close to L*go quality as it comes.
PROS:
All the white brick parts were consistently coloured with no yellowing nor scuffs. Brick clutch was excellent, Canopy and bubble glass were clear and scratch free. The ball turrets at the front swivelled well and did not droop.
CONS:
The minifig faces for Obi-wan, Anakin and Padme, look pretty awful. The black connector pins for the main guns were too narrow to fit onto the central rod, so I replaced them all from my own stash. I noticed that the side detail stickers were red and not yellow as in the OG set (not used).
I paid $46 USD shipped and it came with the paper instruction booklet. Or if you are Jeff Bezos you can buy the OG version off Amazon for this incredibly low price, lol.
It looks like this new brand Moyu Block kinda/sorta cloned the Mega Bloks Enterprise
I saw this on https://joooooy.com/collections/new-arrival/products/3088pcs-my89001-spacecraft-series
Sure, here’s what I used since I have a laser printer: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B078WTL24B/
I didn’t have any issues with it, it was really high quality. Stick with the brand and be sure to get the type for your printer (ink vs laser). It’s kinda fun to do and turns out nice

>Home made sorting tray… bit dodgy but it works!
That's honestly all that matters, if it works for you.
If you are a very casual Lego collector like myself, I wouldn't put too much thought into it... I just like the looks of certain sets and that's the extent of my Lego life but if you are trying to get really serious into Lego, I would strongly suggest YouTube. Also, storage meant for screws, nails, etc is excellent. They have a lot of very modern trays.
Here is a US version of what I mean:

Note that this is a premium option compared to what most do but you can literally take the little cubbies out or easily place them back in. The boxes themselves can even lock onto eachother. There's even special racks you can get and they design the handles to accept labels.
It is Mega Bloks. Here is a link on their website with information.
It is available on Amazon but is rather expensive.
I actually use this one for my sorting, but I’m pretty sure you’re still gonna have to get a lot of lidded cups too!
I use this. Generally I use the air duster for cleaning PCs, for work and personal use, but the brush tip is great brushing stubborn particles.
Actually found it browsing Amazon and that opened the flood gates for me learning about all the other sites since.

I wanted to get a mock spotlight but couldn't find one I liked. I'm going to use these light blocks on the base and shine them upward to appear as if it's being lit from below. Stickers are probably not perfect but they'll do. A Google search will find a set being sold specifically for this MOC from a guy in the UK but they were kind of pricy.
I think new people get 5% off

I ordered these https://www.amazon.com/Econoco-Tempered-Glass-Shelves-Pack/dp/B00TH3RKIQ for $20 from Amazon warehouse deals. But when they arrived 3 of the 5 were completely smashed. Looks like they were a return that had not been repacked properly. Since I just had a box with 50lbs of broken glass I could not ship it back. So Amazon gave me a no return refund. So then I ordered another set of 5 at regular price which arrived well packaged. So that's how I ended up with 7. They are great shelves for the price, highly recommend them.
For the brackets I ordered K163-1 from https://m.aliexpress.com/item/32885353478.html. Originally I was just using 3 of these per shelf. But the brackets are not strong enough on their own. Two of them snapped when I put the shuttle and death star on it, a scary moment! Also I live in San Jose CA so was worried about earthquakes. So I ended up replacing the center bracket on each shelf which a large regular shell bracket from the local hardware store. The combination provides a very stable solution and I think doesn't look too bad.
Regarding earthquakes, I'm using a combination of QuakeHold putty and fishing line tied from the brackets to the Lego to hopefully get me through most minor to medium tremors. But I think I'll be fubar'd if the big one hits!
Amazon, called " LIGHTAILING ". Not cheap, but good quality, easy installation and all you need included, except for the 3 AA batteries.
I got all the engines finished and ready to take the lights, now i have to solve how to do the cables... gues soldering is the way, than i can hide the majority of the cables in the tubes.
Lot of work, but the look makes it worth.

The iDisplayIt stand doesn't require you to remove anything. It's a bit pricey but IMHO well worth it.

They had some great original sets in the past years. All officially licensed. Sadly always overshadowed by Lego, design-wise and marketing-wise.

My favorite is that Viking boat set from 2017.
