Hey, as long as your happy with it that's all that counts. I wish I would've started my audio journey back in college. If you're looking for a nice little desk setup check out the Edifier R1280Ts. You can usually find them on Amazon for around $79 cert. refurbished and they are great starting point.
The wife got it from Amazon wall26 - 3 Piece Canvas Wall Art - Close Up Image of Old Record Player, Image is Retro Filtered Selective Focus - Modern Home Decor Stretched and Framed Ready to Hang - 24"x36"x3 Panels https://www.amazon.com/dp/B071NFJZQ9/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_ujvPCb3W2NN44
ha ha. I left my inhouse vacuum tube left to it.
I am thinking about installing a sound diffuse behind the speakers ( something like this https://www.amazon.com/BXI-Sound-Diffuser-Acoustic-Diffusion/dp/B0798S3DV8?th=1)
Any thoughts or experiences on installing these for 2 channel? (mostly classical, Jazz and some pop/rock music)
Check out Kanto speaker stands, they are super sturdy and come in black or white, I have the 26” in white for my HS8’s and absolutely love them, they come with a larger base you can use for your speakers since they are larger (similar to mine).

For the turntable I got this little lamp, it plugs in to the wall. Works well so far.
The other lamp is from IKEA, 120v also.
Atlantic Maxsteel CD DVD Racks
They were fairly inexpensive racks I found on Amazon. A few of the shelves weren’t made that well and have a dip in them. At some point I’d like something better. If you get these or something similar make sure you install the safety strap, especially if you have kids!
Thank you! The TT came with an Ortophon Red. The black was the highest that anyone recommended so I found one at a local high end store that was discounted. It's crazy how much difference it makes. For a closeup of the figurine: https://tinyurl.com/yalbg67k The album is Dopesmoker by Sleep
I’m not much of an audiophile so my ear is not too discerning. Nonetheless, they’ve been working great for my small listening space. As for the stands, I found them on Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B081N5Z89Y?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
I posted my modest setup here a little while ago. I made a couple small changes and the difference in sound is SO noticeable. First I got the small sub to supplement the Wharfedale 225s. That in itself was really great. I got the crossover set about 60 and the gain at half and it is sounding so present and great. Boosts the bass obviously but also frees up the speakers to focus on the high end a bit more.
Then I ordered this dope Pluto 2 pre amp to go with my new Fluance RT 82 tt (hasn't arrived yet.) The preamp came first so I figured just for fun I would see if I could notice a difference form the built in one on my AT LP60X. HOLY SHITTTTTT. I was actually completely surprised by the difference. The pluto greatly increases clarity while some how multiplying the size of the soundstage. Even my wife, who ignores the hobby to the best of her ability, looked over when I was testing it and said out of nowhere, "wow, that really fills up the space." I cannow wait for the RT82 to come in. Then I think I will be done upgrading for a long while.
I quite like it for music. While it's not as comprehensive as something like Roon, the freeware version is more than adequate for home-wide streaming, and its interface is clean and relatively easy to use. And, yes, a Linux version of the server software is available:

I know what you mean! My old ones did the same thing. Found these on Amazon here
IKEA - CAPITA Leg, Stainless Steel 4 3/8-4 3/4" (X4) https://www.amazon.com/dp/9178892309/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_glt_fabc_2ENR4PPFRCZ07SG54WXW?psc=1
I didn't reinforce anything, but I don't have too too much in them. The bottom shelves are mostly empty. I haven't noticed any issues, but I am careful when I move them. The legs just screw into the paper insides so it's not the strongest.
Thanks! Ya, we really like it as well. Found it on Amazon of course. Here is the link https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B00QUEF852/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_glt_fabc_6JPZTNSCZ7BXYCHBJ2E9
The other stand I use for the turntable is from Target. Here is the link for it - https://www.target.com/p/hannaford-end-table-white-room-38-joy/-/A-82224332
They have both held up well and were easy to assemble.
Sorry a little late, I don’t have notifications on but here is the one I bought. Novogratz Concord Turntable Stand, White https://www.amazon.com/dp/B079HMQY9K/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_LzA2FbCX1YWJF?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1 I had to wait for it to be on stock too.
Pretty cheap Amazon purchase

I got mine at Amazon, but it's all walnut (no white). I think they have a few different color combina
I love the Teac CD player. Here's a link to it on Amazon:
TEAC CD-P650 Home Audio CD Player
I really wanted the Onkyo C-7030 CD player, which I thought would've been better, but that's been discontinued, so I got the Teac instead.
Onkyo C-7030 Single-disc CD player
For an affordable player, I think the Teac is superb. I love the sound. It's full, rich and involving, and detailed without being analytical, so that works for me. It's not a giant killer, and won't compete with more high end players, but I think it's a winner in its class.
Many Amazon reviewers complained about quality control issues and poor reliability, but so far I've had no issues, except that it consistently has difficulty recognizing one particular disc - "Eric Clapton Unplugged." Apart from that, I've had no problems.
Thanks for your concern. However, you need not worry.
I carefully researched the stand and 55" TV, including weight of the TV and maximum loading of the stand, before I bought them from Amazon.
The stand is well designed and supports up to a 55" TV and up to 110lbs weight. The stand itself weighs 40lbs, which is quite heavy, and has a low center of gravity, which makes it quite stable.
Here's the stand at Amazon, in case you're interested:
Most speakers sound a little better farther away from the wall. This is by room mind you. One of the fun things about playing with sound equipment is to try different things. Listen to a song where they are then move them to the front of the furniture, and listen to that song again. Did it sound better or worse to you? From a pic I have no idea what it sounds like but you can play with it. With foam for under them, the idea is that sound vibrations can travel through the surface the speakers are setting on. It can mess with your record player. Something like this. Theses might be overkill for your little guys. But it gives you the idea. https://www.amazon.com/Sound-Addicted-Isolation-Monitors-Acoustic/dp/B0757LTZJJ/ref=pd_lpo_vtph_267_bs_tr_t_1?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=KA0CP8PFCJCYKX8KZ4ZQ
Also it looks really good. You got some quality pieces here with plenty of room for upgrades in the future. The Ikea Kallax is really the go to console to keep gear nice and tidy on.
Something like this may be cheaper than speaker stands, especially if you do not have the room for proper speaker placement.
Thanks, it's from Amazon (surprise!). It's hand painted and was pretty inexpensive but currently unavailable. There are similar pieces from the vendor and others though.
