To be more accurate as a swap, shouldn't Superboy be wearing like a pair of shorts and not jeans. A pair similar to what male marathon/triathlon runners would typically wear and that are often affectionately referred to by those in service as 'Ranger Panties'. The name may be viewed somewhat negatively, but the style is the default for the US Marines and I believe preferred by the US Army Rangers, some other US Special Forces groups, and associated personnel.

This is very amusing to me as the US Army Rangers have been associated with these style shorts for several decades and there have only been female Rangers since 2015.

I actually own this book! It’s “Incredible Comic Book Women with Tom Nguyen.” Here’s an Amazon link. Mr. Nguyen definitely toes that line between sexy and sexualised that we talk about, but he really is excellent at anatomy.

I feel like, if a character has big boobs, wearing something to minimize movement is practical. Speaking from experience, thigh highs are incredibly impractical.

No one is talking about how Space Leaper: Cocoon has a 4★ rating on the Google Play Store with over 100k downloads since it release on August 16th of 2022 with active support with the last update being on October 12 of this year. Nor are they mentioning that at 765MB it's a small app with plenty to do in this Rouge like game.

Comparing this to the How to Draw Manga book that showed extremely good information on how to draw Bishoujo of different races. It was written a few decades ago, so some of the language and how they break down the races is a bit yikesy, but the anatomy itself is pretty good. It emphasizes that each race has their own beauty and proves that a) anime characters are being drawn as Japanese, not white (duh) and b) Japanese people know how to draw black people and not have them look racist.

There are a lot of great figure studies in art-book form that are folks posing naked in a neutral (non-sexual) way. That can give you a sense for how to portray them in that fashion.

You can also look up guides on sexual-coded body language to make sure you aren't unwittingly drawing a naked figure exhibiting that kind of body language (unless you explicitly want to).

And i mean i did ask in the first post which is how i came up with the berdou. but all the replies complety ignored it and talk about the before picture that existed as a before ref which was fustrating.

So yeah i was frustrated when literally the entire point of the character update was to solve the tits out problems and yet...no one even acknowledges it as "hey that bra, its not actually gonna do what you want it to do." or worse yet using the name of a compelty different character and thoring those complains onto them which is even more confusions and make it look like your not even reading the captions.

well as these are the main rivals i wanted to go a more medium build. And Karen (pink hair) doesn have muscles she just...you knwo is wearing baggy clothes. But i do have some body positivity planed as i have 3 other female characters planed. One is a plus sized girl, another is anorexic and while a back ground character since the story has 3 main age periods 6/12/18 i want to show her decline and then eventually adress the issue like how Avacado (the cat boy) has an arc dealing with racism and the idea of a group of people being conserded less then human just based on cosmetic features (ie cat people are consideriend demons and thus need to be bound to a human host but avacado is pretending to just be a human who fused to his familar to avoid being 'tamed').

So while the POV character i Karen and her leaning just how privliaged she is vs Black who is projecting the blame of the loss of her village into the the elites and not investigating WHY her clan was targeted. The secondary characters have their own arcs that are resolved as they work with and interact with our prinicipal cast.

So yeah once Blackgets a design that is distinct from Karen and adresses the issuers brought up i'll be moving onto the other characters as well as commisions references for them at their younger stages in life and their support characters

Why does that one character have a case of Raptor Arms? It could just be a joke or a poorly communicated design but someone might think you're making fun of people with autism.

I'd also avoid baking characters down to a few short phrases and descriptors. If you can do that you're most of the way to a Flandersized character.

I'd also research drawing hands and feet. Absolutely nothing to be ashamed about, hands and feet are probably the common hurdle young artists have to contend with. And it's always a contradiction when you're not aiming for photo-realism because your art style is supposed to simplify and streamline the human form, yet the only thing that might be more detailed and complex than a person's hands or feet is their face.

Also can't help but feel like wearing a shirt that exposes your midriff with a jacket over it is the 'socks with sandals' of women?
