Hey y'all, I recently designed and created the Mevo Phone Mount. It's a way to free up your hands when filming with your Mevo Start.
You may have seen this a few months ago and since then I have redesigned it, made it stronger and made it modular. The handle can be detached and it is very durable. Let me know if there are any questions or if you have any feedback
Check it out at mevophonemount.com or see it on amazon: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09Y8CYXV6
One man show?
Maybe, but, not really. They're more for set stage/conference/churches, etc.
Live sports usually need zooms. That's a no go on mevos- they're fixed lens/digital zoom only (and, it's not really a zoom, it's a crop, and only 1080p to start).
I have them and love them, but, wouldn't use them for your use case.
Going cheap, try iPhone 13 pros with this software: https://www.switcherstudio.com/
Otherwise, just stick with videocams with something like an ATEM switcher.
Does big job mean, you're getting paid?
If so, pay for gear and software. If you go cheap, it'll look cheap.
I would BUY Switcher Studio software. https://www.switcherstudio.com/
As long as it's in the same room and it's not a conference hall sized room you can do wireless fine.
Get an ipad and 3 iphone SE's or 6s's ($100 ea) and you'll have a pretty pro looking product.
Spend the time to learn the software (overlays, graphics, text, fades, etc.).
I use the samsung galaxy tab https://www.amazon.com/Samsung-Galaxy-9-7-Inch-Tablet-SM-T820NZKAXAR/dp/B01MTGLBP5
it works perfectly and is big enough to be able to zoom around with ease.
