I hacked the Rolling Thunder french translation back to English, use this patch on the Tengen goodnes dump. http://www.filefactory.com/file/jv6yunk33st/Rolling%20Thunder%20(Unl)%20%5B!%5D%20(MMC3%20Hack).zip
If you have a wii classic controller, you can: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZUz_xskqzyM
Also, if you are adventurous, there is this hack: http://hackaday.com/2016/12/29/nes-classic-edition-controller-mod/
nestopia in retroarch pak floating around(https://www.dropbox.com/sh/ljaxg78egkk1v0c/AADlO8W-RogO8NFYr8lnr45ea?dl=0) is actually a recent build, not from a buildbot. if the mapper is supported in repo, it should be supported in that build too.
also interesting to see comparison of 'nes classic' palette from nestopia vs original emulator.
edit: nestopia does not support that mapper yet, fceux does though https://sourceforge.net/p/fceultra/code/3334/
will build a bit later
The 8bitdo N30 NES Classic controller.
This controller is amazing and feels great to play with. I love mine to death.
Show your thanks to the developer by purchasing the Android version!

Hey everyone! We've been stuck with a pretty bad Nintendo DS Emulator until now! DraStic has been ported over to the Classics systems thanks to the original programmer Exophase. Along with the help of MadMonkey and DanTheMan we now have an excellent working emulator for a TON of DS games. So far it's been discovered that games that heavily utilize the microphone are not compatible as of right now. But that still leaves a huge game library you can use on your system. Hope this was helpful!
Two options off the top of my head:
1) 8bitdo GBros. Adapter 2) This Emio edge controller that comes with a classic to usb adapter: EMiO Edge Gamepad for SNES Mini - Super NES https://www.amazon.com/dp/B073HPD5TC/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_i_ND9887GC8Z1VWMJHMYK9?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
I use the adapter from the Emio edge with the NES/SNES Classic controllers on my MiSTer and I haven’t noticed lag. That said, I’m not suuuper sensitive to it, so there could be some. $15, so it’s not too bad a gamble and you get a somewhat decent controller with it. I was lucky when I got it as it was only $6-7.
I have the GBros. adapter as well, but I haven’t used it nearly as much. I tried it out to compare to the Emio and didn’t notice a difference.
YOu can download programs to generate the MD5 and Sha of files ( ie. MD5 & SHA Checksum Utility from CNET - http://download.cnet.com/MD5-SHA-Checksum-Utility/3000-2092_4-10911445.html ) that you then run to generate the MD5 and various SHA's of the file which can then be compared to known values for the file and in that way you can verify if the file is exactly the same as the original.
Your game folder containing what you need should look something like THIS which I found as a free download HERE
Copying the executable file without all the supporting files is like trying to play a game while the disc is still on your kitchen counter. The game needs that information to actually run. Remember you need to run the program through retroarch or you'll be returned to the main menu without success.
If you need any more help dont be afraid to ask. I'm happy to help a fellow lover of cosmo and his cosmic adventures
Some GBA games need gba_bios.bin to run smoothly. I think you can either drop it inside each gba game folder or install it with the bios hmod (this is what I've been doing). More info on the file you need here: http://www.lakka.tv/doc/BIOSes/ (Lakka is just Retroarch wrapped in an OS, made by the libretro team)
As for N64 games, I think emulation performance has always been bad. Not sure if there's anything that can be done unfortunately.
Sure. To get binaries (*.so cores), download the image from http://www.lakka.tv/get/linux/rpi2/, extract SYSTEM file, mount it (it's a squashfs image) and search for the cores there
Or you can find these cores on someone's GitHub repo: https://github.com/bite-your-idols/Gamestarter-Pi/tree/master/packages/libretro-cores
tinyPNG is great, but requires a bit of manual work to drag and drop from their website for the free version and is limited to 500 images if you register. There's a paid version, but I'm not about to pay.
If you want to go the route of lossy (e.g. 256 colors), tinyPNG is supposedly based on PNGNQ, but I like PNGQUANT (https://pngquant.org) since it is ported to multiple platforms and there's a Windows GUI version for batch conversion, called PNGoo on the same page.
Yeah, I know, lots of PNG prefixed program names.
I might go the lossy PNG route, but at this time, I would rather have hakchi2 integrate some PNG art compression (lossy or lossless) right before sync'ing with the NESC. This would make things easier for people who are not that great with activities like this, nor care that much.
https://www.amazon.com/8Bitdo-SN30-Controller-Windows-macOS-Android/dp/B0748S1VDC/ref=mp_s_a_1_4?adgrpid=64518799148&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIu6qQgcnm4gIVFIrICh2W_w0oEAAYASAAEgLRQPD_BwE&hvadid=274698634920&hvdev=m&hvlocphy=9007258&hvn... so I got this and I also got the retro receiver. I did a firmware update for the receiver and it works well with snes classic!
My guess would be getting a new sd card. The size isn't the problem, but the speed probably is. Look for the circle with a number inside it on the card.
See this chart to see what I'm talking about On top of that, if the card is old and has been used often it may have degraded and not perform as well.
I'd look for at least class 10/UHC1. UHC 3 would probably meet any demands you'd ever need for your SNES. They also have A1 and A2 classes meant for Android phones, but they'd work just as well for your use.
SD cards are super cheap nowadays, and you'll get way more memory with more performance out of it, for a fraction of what you paid for that one I bet.
Sorry, here is the one I use:
Fun-Home Left Angle USB 2.0 Micro Male to USB Female Host OTG Adapter for SamSung i9100 i9300 With Power Features https://www.amazon.com/dp/B013ENUF0Y/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_uAcOCbCV7YXZ4
They don’t sell them separately. 8bitdo has a great wireless controller for around $25. 8Bitdo SN30 2.4G Wireless Controller for SNES Classic Edition https://www.amazon.com/dp/B074HBNNH6/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_7Q-TBb454ZE2N
Can be used with the NES classic
I'm not sure what the shipping price would be for you (couldn't be too much) but you could always just order an EU version from amazon.de
They have shipping to US
For some reason only the NA release is marked up.
thank you!
just to double check and show others who have the same issue as me in the future, its this one right?
edit: fixed URL, same product though
It's a Micro-USB connector. Adapters for phones, tablets, Chromecast, Raspberry Pi, are only offered with Micro-USB connectors.
This is the one I have but I haven't had a chance to try it yet. I was going to use an RCA to headphone adapter or something to get the audio.

I tried both of these:
Portta HDMI to HDMI Mini Audio Extractor Converter v1.3 Stereo SPDIF Digital support 1080p LPCM https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00HIW7TZC/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_oSdyzb1K0B8PY
Tendak 4K x 2K HDMI to HDMI and Optical TOSLINK SPDIF + 3.5mm Stereo Audio Extractor Converter HDMI Audio Splitter Adapter(HDMI Input, HDMI + Digital / Analog Audio Output) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B017B6WFP8/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_YSdyzbNZCW0VS
Next, I'm going to get this: https://www.amazon.com/Premier-Hi-Definition-Two-Way-Splitter-Converter/dp/B01MSEUL4T
What I'm thinking: Male HDMI -> back of the NES Classic One HDMI cable goes to the HDMI splitter to get the audio Other HDMI cable goes to my monitor
Put everything in a small (as possible) custom box. Again, I think a laptop-ish design would be best. Toss in a USB battery pack and viola.
There is a HW repair (solder) by cluster. Seek it in this sub or on his site. The issue with 3d party lies in the signal quality. So you have to solder a diod if I recall correctly. I think you can go for hori controllers. They work great with the nes mini unmodded. Check youtube.
those rock on the Nes mini.
Interesting. I am using this one: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B06Y26NZVB/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 It has been crashing and I was just browsing the reddit here looking for a possible cause. I think this is it. I will do some testing this afternoon and see if it keeps crashing with and without the extension. I am using the controller that came with the console.
The powerpad could work since it is just a giant controller, ROB however will never work on a modern TV, like the zapper. This is your best bet; https://www.amazon.com/Fighters-Controller-Classic-nintendo-wii-u/dp/B01MTW4ROU reviews online and on YouTube are pretty good. $15 is also a good price, I think.
It doesnt get more authentic than the real thing
SNES to NES Classic Adapter 15$
(Mayflash, as mentioned by greenmky already)
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01MU8SXC2/ref=olp_product_details?_encoding=UTF8&me=
Also converts NES controllers, apparently works with the NES Advantage
This is what I am using. Works well and all of the buttons work on SNES games. ( Street Fighter, Killer instinct etc..) https://www.amazon.com/Old-Skool-Classic-Controller-WiiU-White/dp/B00VBW7N9C/ref=sr_1_10?s=videogames&ie=UTF8&qid=1492606875&sr=1-10&keywords=wii+pro+controller
Old post but I thought of doing the same with an old Sony Trinitron CRT. They have converters that can zoom like this one: https://www.amazon.com/Farsail-FSH2C-Composite-Converter-Function/dp/B01AY8G4H0
Although I think it will simply cut off the top and bottom portions of the picture when you zoom in. I don't see any solution other than running the signal through a computer.
This is the best one I can find. I recently ordered it and it's coming today.
I bought these they are decent but those are not I think you're after. I'm looking for a wii classic controller or two for the snes/sega/arcade stuff.
I have not tried with a classic controller as I cant locate mine. I am playing SNES games (only games I care about) with a My Arcade Gamepad Pro.
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01M34DLXD/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Looks like a white Wii Classic Controller Pro.
