We're also giving away 5 free codes of the full game. First to DM will get the codes!
When I go to their website, I'm given the option to download it from the GooglePlay store. On the Playstore website, I'm told that it's not available for any of my devices. My S20ultra is listed in my devices.
If you look at their website, you'll notice that the Note20 Ultra is listed: you have model SM-G986, I'm thinking. I have the SM-G988. I think that it's interesting that the S20 5G is listed (SM-B981) but not my S20ultra. Sooo close, but, apparently, no cigar!
Wah! So jealous! Glad you got yours working, it looks like fun!
Yeah, you need that adapter.
One thing, I'm noticing that we're sending you all over the place for the adapter upgrade: so I paid attention this time. You want this site and your firmware will be 11.1.08.001_20221012
The site with the "plus" in it is for the Glasses, not the adapter. You've probably been to the correct one and I don't think that it will help but you can at least check and compare it to what I posted.
In the meantime, can you get hold of one of the other ones? The Elebase seems to be the cheapest and still seems to be available.
This is probably not the right subreddit asking for HDMI splitters as you described that would probably be r/hometheater
But, a quick Google search found this https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08PKJZ7QB
You're not going to find an HDMI splitter with a USB-C port because that needs to convert the signal AND adapt the connector. That would be a very specialized component. with a limited market.
You'll be more likely to find an HDMI to USB-C adapter which there aren't actually not that many and daisy chain it with a splitter. There are vastly more USB-C to HDMI adapters because that's being targeted to a wider audience.
Even then you'd be hard pressed to find an adapter that supports HDMI 2.1 speeds (4K@120hz), as the HDMI 2.0 (4k@60Hz) are just now barely getting support in this space. At least when you compare it with the plentiful HDMI 1.4 speeds (4k@30Hz).
But I am no videophile, again, maybe ask the people at r/hometheather for better help. Anyways, good luck!
You can also try a silicone nose bridge. Probably more comfortable too.
Something like these (I haven't tried these so it's not a recommendation, just an example.
Have you tested it with the OEM Switch charger connected?
Or a PD power bank that outputs more than 45w via USB-C? The Switch itself has minimum PD charging capcity requirements that are far in excess of what it actually uses.
...I'm receiving this tomorrow too, to see if it works for the Air's https://www.amazon.com/Nintendo-Portable-Replacement-Suitable-Party-Neon/dp/B0B7L2CJY7/
I just received and tested the Fairikabe and it does work. I tried it with a Fire Stick along with a female-to-female HDMI connector. The only problem is the long cables and you connect one end of this grey cable to the glasses directly. I also bought the Elebase adapter and that one works too but it's more convenient since it's smaller and requires less dangling cables. So I'll be returning the Fairikabe. It's great to have several options under $30. This is the link to the Elebase: https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B08VDT3YGK
I'd love to see a link to that watch! I think that I know which one you have but I'd like to confirm? And what version of Android does it run?
This is my guess, it runs Android 9. I'd love to find one with a more recent version.
It should be, but I'd like confirmation as well. I was looking at this as a smaller form factor but can't justify the price for myself.
This is the link to US Amazon.
I agree with you. The setup is cringe worthy. I honestly don't understand why the Switch cannot have a usb c alt mode DisplayPort connector. It could be worse I guess (they could be using micro usb for charging lol)....
But it is what it is. Ever since I got the Nreal Airs I got so excited about using it on the plane or other similar "on the go" situations. Finding out the Switch's limitations were a real downer. But we do what we have to no matter how cumbersome unfortunately. Right?
I would love to know it the Viture dock works, please update us.
PS. I love Baseus. I currently use this 100W Power Bank. I like it because it can charge everything and it is slim and easily slips into a backpack.
You have the idea. You need to power both the Fire stick and the adapter.
You can also get a 'power brick'. They usually have more than one output and last quite a while. If you strap those items together you can put them in your pocket or on a wrist strap for portability.
Note that there's nothing special about the particular power brick that I linked. It works, tho.
The wrist band is one that I found that doesn't dig into my wrist. There are others that do.
>HDMI - USBC adapter
Thanks for the reply! I had this conclusion as well. Unfortunately, I have had little luck on that side as well. I have the J5Create USB4 (JCD401) hub, but it does not work with the steamdeck (works with phone and nreal though), I also have this one which I was told may work StarTech.com USB C Multiport Adapter, but It has not worked either. I have tried both with and without the red magic. No luck. I have also tried the original idea that you mentioned with the hdmi adapter, but that didnt work either. I think I will try OWC Thunderbolt Hub next.
This is the one that seems most popular: iClever BK08.
Then for charge and play with the Nreal's you can use a 15w magnetic qi charger like the Mophie Snap+ with a power bank (on the s21u - not sure about the Fold 4), or the Redmagic gaming dock adaptor - also with a power bank.
Technically, the J5create JCD401 USB4 hub should also work, but YMMV - I use it with my s22 Ultra.
Whatever you figure out, good luck.
Here's a link to the Mophie Snap+ because it can be hard to find sometimes but the Redmagic gaming dock adaptor is probably a better idea https://www.amazon.com/mophie-snap-Wireless-Charger-Qi-Enabled/dp/B096W476MX/
I have this one elecom trackball Amazon
It is a wonderful little guy and i used it just the other night tempting into my pc on my nreal. These are awesome and very worthwhile to get even if just for work and no nreal useage.
You can fix anything with a hammer! :D
Looking at the description again there's no mention of audio, so it probably can't work. Must've misremembered plugging the nreal in directly. Oh well I'm using wireless earbuds anyway.
Description here: https://www.amazon.de/-/en/gp/product/B09LGVNXPK/
We give this link to those in the UK: any chance it's locally available?
I use a Mophie Snap Plus 15w wireless charger with a power bank, the s22 ultra, and my Air's.
https://www.amazon.com/mophie-snap-Wireless-Charger-Qi-Enabled/dp/B096W476MX/
The battery doesn't go down and very slowly charges.
Trackpad beats a gyro mouse any day. The 'cool' feature of waving your whole arm around distracts from how much more precise you can move your thumb.
Being one of the 10 people who remember that Microsoft mixed reality controllers have a thumb track pad.
Samsung gear vr controllers have a big thumb track pad that you can use instead of waving your arm to simulate a mouse vs. the gyros to simulate VR arm aim point.
I have handheld track pad (CherTock) but wanted a trackpad-ring. Hopefully that does right-click correctly.
and we're back to that adapter. If you can find one, great! Try it and let me know. Otherwise, mine is due Monday, I'll find out if it works then.
Hey I’m using this iVolver dock ... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0B7Q9LJZ5?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share i watched a few reviews and ended up with this one for LAN party use and now for my nReal setup, so I bought the NREAL adapter for my iPhone but the adapter comes with an HDMI port, and the dock offers HDMI display up to 144hz, so I’m hooked up via hdmi for my nReals works like a charm
For the nose pad issue, this might help
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08S7NNJT7
Look at the left screen with your right eye. Do you still see the same issues? Do this with the right screen with your left eye.
If you normally wear glasses, this may also contribute to the issue. (A lot of people with normally decent vision learn they do in fact need prescription glasses for some things because of AR glasses)
Now, there can be some reflections from light coming in below and to the sides of the glasses. This is normal, but it shouldn't be very problematic with general use. If it is, that can mean offset plastic lenses or displays.
The text haloing (glow around letters) happens for some people with white lettering on dark background. Sometimes proper positioning of the Air's fixes or reduces it. Sometimes prescruption lenses helps. Sometimes lowering the screen brightness helps. And partly it can be a result of the high gamma/contrast/ etc settings of the glasses - which may be fixed in a future firmware update. That said, if after adjusting the glasses positioning and having proper prescription lenses it's still really bad, then it might be the glasses - but more often it's not.
The double scroll bar sounds a lot like a vision impairment. See if there's still a double scroll bar when using one eye in each lens. If there isn't, it's a vision/positioning issue.
If there is a double scroll bar with 1 eye, then I'd get the Air's exchanged.
I ditched the Redmagic on my phones - Huawei VR adapter is more streamlined and serves this without that clunky bar in the way. Red Magic is popular here because all the Steam Deck users. But on phones the Huawei works on my S22U and my Phold 4.
I use w/ a PD capable power adapter or a PD capable battery pack. I just got this one with a built-in USB-C & Lightning cable and it's pretty small @ 10000mah. This can pretty much power my phone longer than I need.
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08S7NNJT7?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details
I need to find the other set of nose standoffs that came in the box and sacrifice that one for this attachment.
Also, those are prescription lenses courtesy of Lensology.
You can try this one. No idea, personally, if it works but someone posted that it did.
Hmm, we have an adapter that we advertise as for people in the uk, I wonder if that has something to do with the video formats supported?
I really don't think so, but you can try the Basesailor.
It sounds as if you're trying to use your iPhone to play your Xbox game pass on it, in the glasses?
I don't know all that much about the Apple ecosystem, but, in theory, you need the Lightning adapter to get the hdmi out of the iPhone, then an Nreal, GoFanco, SIIG or Elebase adapter to view it in the glasses. You will need power, of course. Also, with Android, there's an audio issue with going thru hdmi so you may need to deal with the audio with Bluetooth from the iPhone.
Not knocking your solution but what about casting your Pixel phone? You would need a Chromestick and some power (power brick or plug in) but you can use the phone and save a few bucks. You would need to Bluetooth the audio, but this seems kind of made for your use case.
If you decide to go this route, use an old Chromestick, the 4k version doesn't seem to show a picture. An Anycast stick should work, too.
Wow! That didn't last!
Power is supplied thru the USB A connector, no idea if they make the others that you're looking for. You can always get an adapter.
Between the arm band holders, the heat and the adapters, I don't use my case anymore. The Red Magic dock definitely does not play nicely with my case. On the other hand, it straps pretty well to the bottom of my phone for carrying in it's arm band assembly.
I've got a Goovis cable coming in next week...
Nreal decided to activate glasses at the factory due to consumer complaints about activations. So, probably not used 😎
You can find silicone nosepad extenders that broaden the surface of contact for more comfort.
I found a pair of no-name silicone nosepad extenders with a "foam surface" at my local $0.99
There are folks moulding their own too.
You can also slightly ease the weight off the front with a glasses strap, then experiment with beads or whatever works for you to incrementally ease the counter-balance https://www.amazon.com/Anti-Slip-Silicone-Eyeglass-Retainers-Protection/dp/B08QCTD7ZF/
Though, not everyone, but most folks adjust to the nosepads quickly enough.
In the uk, you want the Basesailor, if you can get it, but none of them will pass audio unless you plug the usb power of the adapter into the usb port of the Xbox. I don't have any confirmation that this works with the Xbox but it should. I know it works with the Steam Deck.
The others are 'old' because there haven't been any better, yet, grab what's available.
I've got a Goovis Cable coming in next week. If it works, then I think that it would be the 'lightest' option available.
Well, it's a highly delicate, extremely difficult procedure... I used a 2" piece of 1/2" heat shrink on the right temple. 😁
Anyway, using anything that you've got, lengthening the right temple helps tremendously. The heat shrink provides a small amount of cushioning, I'm sure, but it's amazing what a difference just extending it makes. I've got about 1" of the heat shrink sticking out past the end and I did not apply heat to that part, just the part around the temple piece so that it would hold.
There are also various things available on Amazon if you choose.
Thanks for the elaboration! I was thinking I’d have an Anker usb-c hub connected to the deck, then this connected to the hub’s HDMI port, and to the nreal air. Same setup I have with my SIIG, which works well.
https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B07ZVKTP53?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
Seems to be a bit of confusion here.
To charge the Steam Deck and use it at the same time, you need something like the Red Magic Dock, with it's 'c' input and output.
I've got a Goovis cable coming in next week, I'll see if it's a viable option.
The device that you're looking at, which is similar to the GoFanco and may indeed work, is for getting the hdmi video out of the Steam Deck when it's docked. In which case it's being charged by the dock. The glasses, on the other hand, still need power, which is where those special adapters come in.
Even tho that adapter is not for charging the Steam Deck, it still looks like a good catch! Now we just need someone to buy one and find out...
And I just realised these were a thing - might stop the glasses slipping forward!

I used dex and used the touchpad on the phone screen to navigate between songs but I have this coming tomorrow, which I can program in the Ultimate Guitar Tabs app to skip song to the next tab, start autoscrolling. I could probably attach it via velcro to my acoustic so its simply pushing a button and people would be none the wiser.
I also use a bluetooth page turning pedal to scroll the tab up or down depending if the speed is too fast / slow as I play.
If I needed to select a specific song, then the phone will need to be used. Unless UG integrates voice assistance - which would be cool!
And I've got the Lights and Airs and niether of them do this, lol! I am truly mystified! It's got to be that adapter? I have audio issues with Chromecast but not video.
How about this: try an Anycast Stick? That and/or another adapter are my only other suggestions and both require time and money to answer.
I have this one.
If you come up with something, I'd love to hear it! As far as I can tell, this is not normal, either. Just having the glasses connected causes more heat than I'd expect. But the glasses have never even gotten warm, for me.
This may work for you, video-only possible (so with Bluetooth headphones). Worth trying as it's from Amazon.co.uk with their return policy. And the latest Nreal firmware updates (including MCU and DP) may include audio now (?)
https://www.amazon.co.uk/Adapter-Converter-Thunderbolt-MacBook-Microsoft/dp/B09LGVNXPK/
Certain Softbank stores https://www.nreal.jp/softbankstores.html but you'll have to check ahead if they're in stock.
You can also order them from Amazon.jp and have them delivered to a Japanese address, sometimes even your hotel.
They'll only show up as available from Nreal (don't buy from non-Nreal sellers) on Amazon.jp if you put in the Japan Postal Code of where you'll be staying in Japan when you tap "deliver to".
Just for looking (has to be changed when ordering) I use the Tokyo Postal Code (there's more than one) of 100-0001
Then the official Nreal product page shows up https://www.amazon.co.jp/Microphone-Compatible-Electronic-Anti-Shake-Connection/dp/B0B56ST8FJ/
I just ordered from US Amazon page - what am I missing here? Why are others ordering from the Japanese page?
Here is the Amazon page I ordered mine from:

You seem interested in small form factors: if you hook that MS stick up to one of these, then you get to drop the RM dock... I don't have one of those, yet, but the GoFanco style adapters allow this too, they just have that dang cable. Still, smallest one so far! 👍
Getting max FPS out of my desktop Thunderbolt port as well as my Laptop Thunderbolt port.
Tested on an Asus Creator Desktop Motherboard and a Surface Book 3
To be honest I did not check which region Amazon was set to when I made the purchase. I’d seen the airs about a month prior to purchase. I did my research and when I was satisfied I just searched for a link to the product on Amazon. I suppose I could share the link if that helps?
https://www.amazon.com/Nreal-Glasses-Massive-Micro-OLED-Augmented/dp/B0BF5LKP5Q
Thanks for the info! I'd read in another thread that this adapter from Goovis is also able to charge the Nreal adapter while connected, but given the RedMagic's ability to charge the Steam Deck while in use it seems to be a better choice.
There's a Black Friday *something* being promoted on Twitter. It doesn't indicate whether it's a sale (drop in price) or an accessory gets included, or ???
This is the current non-sale link
https://www.amazon.com/Nreal-Micro-OLED-Augmented-iOS-Consoles-Compatible/dp/B0BF5LKP5Q
Remember, even with *the same link* always check who it's shipped by and sold by. It should always be sold by Nreal so you don't have headaches later.
As far as I can tell, that is not a Bluetooth keyboard and requires that you plug in a usb dongle. Hard to do on a phone. Which sucks because I've got one of these!
I found (but have not used, yet) this one. It's as close as I could get when I was looking.
I tried this for my home theater PC - works well other than not having a dedicated scroll area (you can hit space bar to page down in a browser though).
I don't need to type much when I'm moving around with the phone in my pocket, so I just use a Relacon because it fits more easily in one hand and much more accurate.
You can change the Dex wallpaper to whatever you want, just like a desktop. Put your apps in the corners and the center is clear as sunglasses. In other words, with a black wallpaper, the desktop will be transparent, except where you choose to put your windows. The corners work well.
Some people are using one of these.
I've never heard of a Twiddler before! Thanks for posting that link!
I haven't tried it yet, but I'm tentatively looking at the Tapstrap (I have one) for typing and a touchpad like this to keep on my desk.
I found an odd way around it: do you happen to have a Chromestick? I had an old one in a drawer, works great! Casting anything chrome (browser, youtube, etc) works great! It's a 'screen mirror' so the screen is 0dof but it's nice! Great full screen picture! In the meantime, my phone sits either on the desk or charging cradle:
the battery lasts a long time sitting on the desk and it doesn't overheat, even while charging. I have a small bluetooth ring to control the media.
Here’s the drop link - Nreal Air, AR Glass, Smart Glass,... https://www.amazon.jp/dp/B0B56ST8FJ?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
But it seems that nreal has stop shipping it to NZ on Amazon JP too :(
We have several users that have this little portable keyboard with touchpad.
It's called an Elebase.
The Red Magic hub powers the glasses and charges the phone, there is no need to convert to hdmi or use multiple adapters.
The hdmi adapters are for watching the Xbox, Playstation or other hdmi sources.
This, in combination with the Nreal adapter will work, if a standard HDMI connection is not available but USBHDMI is: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01NH500RV/ref=cm_sw_r_api_i_QB4D8YGP7VKNPW69F6VE_3?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
This combo works great for me

If you want more options with I/O rather than the red magic adapter such as adding a hard drive loaded with movies (legally obtained of course).
I was successful in using the Fareplay app found in the playstore to play my sbs 3d videos. It was designed for the NReal. The app creates a similar space as Nbula. Great app!! Give it a try! https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.farrajajmi.fareplay
So you can also use polycam app to make the 3d model. here for android and here for iphone
Unfortunately, I'm not up on going into the finer aspects of analysing your wifi connection, but luckily there's an app for that! (See below)
It's $2, not mine I get nothing.
You read the instructions, download and run the server app on your PC, then with your phone on airplane mode connect it to your wifi, and run this app.
Look for latency and your TCP speed test.
This might help startb troubleshooting why you're getting lag.
You can also google for how to set your SteamVR bitrate and lower it, which also might improve the performance you're getting

It's UK Amazon but this works perfect for me. Cable is a little thick, so I got a 30cm usbc male to female extension which is thinner and more flexible around the ear.

If you want to use the DeX Station for charging you'd then need the HDMI adaptor. That's not optimal.
Instead to charge phone and use DeX you could get either the Redmagic Gaming Adaptor dock, or a magnetic Qi charger like this https://www.amazon.com/mophie-snap-Wireless-Charger-Qi-Enabled/dp/B096W476MX/
...and I'll be testing a new potential option later today: https://www.reddit.com/r/nreal/comments/yxf6u4/holy_grail_of_charge_and_play_with_steam_deck/

Try this site.
Or you can just install Nebula from the Google Play Store and it will update your glasses for you, assuming that you have a compatible phone.
Behold. My FarePlay 😎
Many have tried and fail in figuring out how this monstrosity works 😜 Can you? 😂
I have a Virgin Media Router & i use this app sometimes to check which devices are connected to it. I didn't realise i accidentally blocked my TV's connection so all i had to was go back into the app and unblock it. Unless you have a VM router i'm not sure how useful this is for you😬
Earbuds are the best solution, either separate (like AirPods) or with a connecting wire like this.

Over-the-head headphones will definitely press the temples of the Air glasses into your head.
At the moment? Nreal Airs as far as I know.
You should be able to use any 5/64 in drill bit, mine was just a part of a set I got. Something like this would work fine.
This is the one I use with my nReal Air and NexDock USB C from Amazon. Riitop USB C to C Cable 100W [10ft] https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08QCJ428R
Generally, any USB-C to USB-C that works with VR Headsets like the Oculus Quest should also have the appropriate specifications to use in AR.
Yep! That works better!

It will charge my Steam Deck about 1.5 times from a full charge.
I have one of these for my back pack build. Also, you can get a great app on Android. The paid version let's you configure things almost anyway you'd like. I use a text box field which emulates typing when sent to the connected device or can do direct input with a full on screen keyboard.
Nothing beats a real mouse. But I have been using this app with my smart watch and it does a decent job.
What kind of 3D models? If you have any gltf files, then you can use the FarePlay app. I suggest watching the video (on the store page) to see what it does. It also gets into XR.
Null sweat, Chummer! 😎🤘
You'd need a slim case. I'm not sure what's available for the fold as I use an s22 Ultra
This is the 15w wireless magnetic Qi charger I use. https://www.amazon.com/mophie-snap-Wireless-Charger-Qi-Enabled/dp/B096W476MX/
Note, there are also power banks with magnetic wireless Qi charging built in.
Amazon also sells temple 'cushions' that I've seen others mention. Like this.
Yes, but it's frustrating to find cables that aren't actually lying about their capabilities.
This one works: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07D7PM1V2/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&th=1 Though, it has some pretty bulk connectors.
I believe anything with USB-C 3.1 (10Gbps) or better will work
The Amazon cable is working perfectly, it's just a little short but compatible.

Since you can see the world, you can probably hunt and peck on a tiny keyboard as fast as one-handed typing on full size.
We used these for HoloLens (also because this rounded shape fit in the center of the case.)

Be sure you're ordering one with BlueTooth, we got some mislabeled ones that are proprietary 2.4ghz and require a USB dongle.
If OP doesn’t take you up on this, I’d love to. I’ve got the same keyboard as OP, as well as this Bluetooth remote. I’ve been looking at the Tap Strap 2 as neither of these are great for super portable and complete input control
You do know you can put your phone away and use a bluetooth handheld trackball to control your device right?
Save yourself connecting and carrying all the extra doodads and just get a Relacon
Yep. It's the only way I play my PS5 right now. Good enough picture, super fast response time. 60hz is good enough for me.
I use this adapter. Audio does work, but that doesn't matter for me. I use a headset anyways.
I landed on a bluetooth keyboard/trackpad combo to make my traveling even lighter. I went with this model on Amazon:

I have S21 Ultra. I can't speak for battery drain. I have my phone on a wireless charger while using Dex. I can use Dex for hours and then pick it up with a full charge. Highly recommend that route.
Just ordered one from Aliexpress today too, plus this magnetic USB-C connector to provide some breathing room on my Steam Deck. OP - will you be testing with SD or other devices?
