I see this is a webinar, but i felt id post this for other people who are interested in pegging for some tips from experience

My wife and i are on the larger side, a longer toy definitely helps. A textured one feels amazing, again longer is better imo. Softer toys tend to bend easier so it can be helpful with longer toys going deeper, but too flexible and you can have issues with entry as it bends too easily when trying to press inside, but practice makes perfect and even soft toys with large heads can be very pleasing But Wideness is up to you and what you can accommodate,

larger isnt always better if you are like us where dont play often enough to comfortably accommodate Girthier toys.

Some other tips:
Take care of everything. Meaning, clean yourself thoroughly with an anal douche.
Help her get the harness on and adjusted.
Lube up the dildo and yourself so she does not have to touch anything.
Doggy style (standing/bent over or both of you on your knees) is the easiest position for beginners (imo).
Don't try to get her to jerk you off while pegging you, just let her focus on the motion involved.
Clean up everything afterwards.

What I found with standard butt plugs it that the top/head of the plug is large, but the bottom/neck part is still small. You can get past the larger part and then the muscles are relaxed around the smaller part. Good if you want to wear a plug, but not if you are trying to stretch/relax the sphincter muscles. These work because the neck is also larger and actually stretches. Medical advice says that you only need to insert and leave these in for 30-90 sec. to stretch and relax. Like others have suggested, I like to start with #2 (1-5, smallest to largest), leave it in for 5 mins, move up to #3 for another 5 mins. That is enough for me to take a dildo that is just bigger than the #3 plug. I have tried #4, it takes a bit more work but I didn't get much more out of it. #1 is a tiny joke, #5 is for people with serious goals. Personally I could toss 1 and 5 in the trash and not miss them.

Microwaveing has worked well for me but I use a large mixing bowl. With only a small amount in the bottom, it keeps it from boiling over. But it was a pain to transfer to the container we use it out of.

Drop the chain in there and start shaking. I'll usually shake it off and on while watching TV. It's good in a few hours and even better in a day.

Do you clean with a bulb beforehand? Sometimes water from the cleansing can hang around inside, which will break down water-based lube relatively quickly. A good place to find the rubber o-rings you would be looking for is a local hardware store (home depot / lowes). Check out their website first so you aren't spending so much time in the store (or just order from online).
