I've mostly been holding my tongue but I unfortunately agree. It seems highly improbable the goal will be met. Hell, at this point it seems iffy they'll break $100k.
What I don't understand is why they aren't using KS as a platform to talk about the game more. Most successful KS update like crazy, usually multiple times a day! At this point it feels like they made a list of hopeful features and a slick video then expected to hit $360k without anything else. That's not how KS works. You guys need to communicate with us and the more the better.
This is one of the first successes in crowd funding -

Look at all the updates they do even many years later. They aren't big updates always but usually every day they post something. A lot of their updates are detailed and in depth too. They aren't always bug fixes or features but often thoughts behind changes. If you're asking us to fund a project and take a risk on it the least you can do is communicate extensively with us. Do more updates or make a podcast with the devs, etc just do something.
First, thank you for the link compilation. I'll be sure to check them out :D.
Second, question regarding the driver mentioned.
I'm on Windows 8.1. I was able to install it following this guide, and it seems to be enabled (when I go to Device Manager it's the only driver under my Mouse, and the driver mentioned is the active, and only, driver showing). Unfortunately making any changes have no effect. I've ensured that the profile I'm editing is active, I've saved the changes, and I've saved the profile... no dice. If I make changes to the Mouse properties in Control Manager those changes do actually change things. I'm not sure if that's relevant or not, but it's what's happening.
I've tried using the configuration editor .exe file that comes with the driver and I've tried editing the registry directly. I've also tried rebooting after making changes, all to no avail. Halp? :(
As a dev, go download this cube 2 game. Its free.
This game is the reason I'm so excited for your Reflex. It is quick, great fun, and a true test of skill.
Basically, if cube 2 was more widely popular and on steam and such, people would be perfectly happy with that. It really is a shitload of fun.
Just play it for a bit.
Ah, then perhaps I did miss a step. I'm in the process of trying to install it again, so I'll see if I can spot the step I missed last time.
EDIT: It looks like, after enabling test mode, the change is persistent. If anybody else is stuck, the you need to open up an elevated command prompt and type
Bcdedit.exe -set TESTSIGNING ON
Then follow this guide to get Windows to allow you to install unsigned drivers. Then you can follow Povo's guide from "32 bit users start here". You don't need to sign the driver at all with Windows 8.
