Don’t worry too much about things being explained. She covers it well in due time.
There are 2 artists that I always listen to while reading anything from Robin Hobb. First one is Loreena McKennitt, although she sings in English. Second is an Irish band named Clannad. My favourite albums are Banba and Lore. There are few songs in English but the rest is in Irish.
Hi! Unfortunately You will not find a hard cover for Assassins Apprentice. That is a tiny little fact that a lot of people overlook. There was a special reprints few years ago, and it is the only hard cover ever for AA, here's a link: http://www.abebooks.com/book-search/title/assassins-apprentice/author/robin-hobb/hard-cover/
The other reprints were UK, cover art by Jackie Morris, that was 2012 too.
The last column, Notes, is what short story collection they are in. So, most are in The Ineritance and Other Stories while Words Like Coins is in A Fantasy Medley
Nice review! I agree with your lament about the missing characters. I would have particularly loved to see Bee and Dutiful. Or one of these scenes from the last book:
[Assassin's Fate](#s "Fitz standing head to head with Tintaglia, or any scene showing the Clerres castle. I would love to see a drawing of the skull towers with the glowing eyes.")
For those interested, the coloring book is now available on Amazon for $10.79:

Yeah the idea of going on a journey with Fitz as a teen for one last time does sound enthralling and even if it is a little slow paced or ( if i be bold enough ) somewhat boring in the first third (as i have been told).
My OCD or whatever you call it won't let me bypass a book in a series. :) You know they have to be read in an orderly fashion or the thin fabric of reality could crumble or something....
Honestly i think it could be fun if we explore a little more of the six duchies. The only thing i have an issue with is the titles of the book they are terrible ( they imply too much of an Assassin oriented story) but other than that i love it :)
Thanks for keeping me motivated with book 2 P.s is this one a tragedy too ? and how goes your Trilogy #2 ? I am finishing " The Art of War " then i will head on to AQ after which few cosmere novellas and then to liveship so i hope to catch up with you before you reach the last one. ( OPTIMISTIC)
I think I will keep https://www.amazon.com/Assassins-Apprentice-Illustrated-Farseer-Trilogy/dp/198481785X as possible purchase but will wait to hear from the "University of Washington bookstore"

Yes, for the Farseer trilogy. I like them!
There's also a series of graphic novels in French. If you know the stories you can follow along without speaking French.
There is definitely an audiobook version. That's how I read it the first time.
There are a bunch of things I'd do differently here.
The antlers aren't to scale, nor are they correctly positioned in either of the photos. Antlers should be placed between the ears, not in front or behind. Of the two, the placement in the second image looks better, but both of them look a bit awkward. If you try starting out with a wolf that has its ears pinned down it might be easier, such as with this image:
The art that you're using is probably not going to translate well onto a coin. It will likely look very muddy and messy. With that type of embossing style application, you really want the image to be as clean and simple as possible, with smooth, clean lines and no gradients (shading). You want the illusion of shading without actual shading.
You should be using proper vector art rather than vectorized raster art. (AKA art that was initially illustrated using a vector program by a skilled vector illustrator, such as the image I posted above). There are plenty of sites where free vectors can be found, and even the paid ones are quite cheap. I recommend sourcing out your art that way rather than taking raster art and converting it.
The text doesn't match with the image. The two don't look like they came out of the same aesthetic. The typography also needs a lot of adjusting. The spacing between letters is all over the place, and it's making the words look gappy and awkward. Words, when properly typeset, should look almost like solid, coherent graphical elements of their own.
I know I'm basically saying, "start over," but I really feel that what you're trying to create is very do-able, and a few simple changes to your approach can mean the difference between 'okay' and 'amazing'.
I just started a Robin Hobb/Megan Lindholm anthology xInheritance She is such a wonderful storyteller. Kindle edition is $1.99!
Throw some spine tape on it and call it a day. These are cheap paper backs so I wouldn’t put much effort into fixing them. Link here.
The colouring book is also nice, although my husband just wanted to keep it and not colour it. If you’re in the USA it looks like you can still buy them on Amazon
You can try putting “farseer” “elderling” “nighteyes” “Robin hobb” into Etsy and see what comes up too. I’m sure there are lots of fans who craft stuff that can deliver to you. I just put it in and there was some cute stuff that came up for me.
I thoroughly enjoyed The Sovereign Stone trilogy by Margaret Weis and Tracy Hickman, which caught me by surprise as I hadn't been that engaged by their other books. I went on to read their War of Souls trilogy and I enjoyed that, but not quite as much.
he Eldarn Sequence series, by Rob Scott and Jay Gordon is great, unusual and gripping. It took me a while to get into it but then I was hooked. Book 1 is good, book 2 is great, book 3 is fantastic.
One series that is really hard to get a hold of and isn't on kindle is Sean Russell Swans' War. You can buy a used copy [here])https://www.amazon.com/One-Kingdom-Swans-War/dp/1841490881/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1547195845&sr=8-1&keywords=Sean+Russell+The+One+Kingdom%3A+Book+One+of+the+Swans%27+War+Trilogy) for $1 and postage. If you are in the UK it's on Amazon as well. Again, it took a while to get into and then you're hooked.
Brandon Sanderson's first book, Elantris, is worth a read.
Finally, Peter V Brett The Demon Cycle, just.......wow.
> I've heard of 'mindfulness' but haven't really looked into it.
Mindfulness is basically the act of being present in the current moment. Not worrying about the future or ruminating over the past, but being at peace with where we are right now; present within our body and breath. Given how our minds are trained to work from the time we are children, mindfulness to a lot of westerners is a sort of meditation. But one we can experience as we go about our daily lives.
One of my greatest heroes is Thich Nhat Hanh, a Zen Buddhist monk and author. He writes a lot about mindfulness and does it in a really human, immediate way that feels like sitting down with a sweet, humble man who is telling stories about his life. I highly recommend his book Peace is Every Step. It's one of the most pleasurable reads on mindfulness because it's more of a 'show don't tell' book where he talks about finding mindfulness in everyday life activities such as washing the dishes or listening to the ringing of a phone.
Here's one and here's two, few hundred each for some reason.. maybe bookmark those pages and check again later. It's second hand sellers so you never know.
Here's a direct link to where I read it: http://www.amazon.com/Fools-Quest-Book-Fitz-Trilogy/dp/0553392921
Clicking on the "Look Inside" stuff worked for me. Maybe you have to be logged in? I was able to just log-in with my UK account.
