Hm, downloading unknown .exe files from a page published on a dynamic DNS service, re-using the freeSO logo and written in a language I don't understand.
What could possibly go wrong... :-/
If you can be patient and wait until the next time origin has a sale (which is fairly frequently, usually once every month or two) the Generations and World Adventures Bundle gives you a great bang for your buck. i paid $7.99 for it during one such sale and it's TWO expansion packs.
generations is a favorite among fans because it adds tons of family interactions like teen pranks, midlife crises, school field trips, boarding school, after school activities and imaginary friend dolls (who you can turn real). it also adds the daycare career, spiral stairs, bunk beds, strollers, and wedding arches. it doesn't come with a new world though.
world adventures is also a really neat expansion and is my personal favorite. you can go on vacation to egypt, china, or france. there's new skills like wine making, photography, and martial arts. it adds a ton of new collectables. you can also explore the pyramids and tombs in each of the 3 worlds which is tons of fun you because you have to solve puzzles and avoid traps to progress through them. it also adds mummies! you can also die via mummy's curse. its really unique and adds a whole new game play style.
It's The Sims 3 base game.
Edit: Although The Sims 4 just came out. She might enjoy it more, you should ask her.
I actually do have 7 days from release date, since I pre-ordered, but you're correct also.
You can play if your connection happens to be from a region in which the game is released. Use a VPN, check out "FlyVPN" free trial. Use Korean Server, or any other Region in which the game is released.
EDIT: Windows 95, 98 and XP.
EDIT #2: The Sims 1 never had a digital download, it came out before they were popular.
