The Skywire GitHub continues to be updated on a daily basis. Recent changes referenced in the file include:
Changes to the ./node -connect-manager command
Using the Firefox FoxyProxy Plugin
Official node image files that can be flashed to the Micro SD cards (for use with Orange PI Prime boards only)
There is not much documentation on some of these updates such as the node images, but they are available so that you can download them if you are using Orange PI Prime boards. Note that no official announcement has been made regarding these images yet so they may be updated again in the future.
These are great ideas and thank you for sharing. My understanding is that once CX/CXO are ready, it will work just fine on eMMC cards and sdcards. There are better options coming, but it's enough to build out the first phase of the network. Similar to https://ipfs.io
Hmm. I think you have a slight misunderstanding of what is being built.
Without the antennas skywire isn't a meshnet, it's just a glorified VPN service. Building a meshnet is the piece de resistance for the project, not building the next NordVPN.
Thanks for this windrip. Although I already have an official Skyminer, you've inspired me to build my own DIY miner as well. Gonna go with something like this for the power supply plus the USB adapter cables.
Recommended backup of private keys would be to a secure password manager such as KeepassXC.. Then your passwords are encrypted and can be stored safely offline or even in the cloud.
For offline safe storage of keys / wallets, I back up everything to an Apricorn Secure Key. Buy two so you have more than one backup. Nobody can get into these without a 10 digit pin/
