Bentobox is a shop that sells some unique spydercos, including this Para 3 with a K390 blade and ranger green scales.
The persistence is very similar to a tenacious but a little shorter. The ambitious is similar but even smaller than the persistence. I have all three and love all three.

I just googled deep carry clip for Spyderco persistence. This was the first result.
I ordered the bead on amazon and tied it myself. There is a guy on eBay who sells them just like this, gray paracord instead of black, but I was trying to save a couple bucks so I made my own.

I've had great luck with this kit and I have the same knife as you. I also have the spyderco sharpmaker but I don't find it as good to use as the kit I linked. ZDP is a really hard steel so diamond stones (like in this kit) will be better than the ceramic rods in the sharpmaker kit. That's my opinion anyway.
I just bought a PM2 Maxamet too and have yet to receive it.
I got this Tuf-Cloth from Amazon:

Apparently, forcing a patina on this steel is not a good idea.
I was raised on spyderco and benchmade (and circa 2000) Kershaw and Gerber. USA brands were always good.
These days there's even limited runs from custom USA makers with Ti and S35VN for like $125 and $150
I'm about to buy this knife for $90, used but mint condition. How much would Benchmade or Spyderco charge for it?
Get yourself one of these my dude. Calti Titanium EDC Pocket Pry Bar Multitool Custom Keychain Multi Functional Survival Heavy Duty Tool For Military, Camping, Outdoors, Grey, Medium https://www.amazon.com/dp/B096XNZR69/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_2XQDP80BG1TQFXQ0ESEG
I’ve carried one for a few month and it comes in plenty handy. I will say tisk tisk for prying with your expensive knife but I’m sure your getting plenty of that.

Why not just use something like this for your keychain. This is the cheapest one I could find.
Did the same thing, this did the trick.

I'm sure Spyderco will take care of you if you send it back. I find using high quality torx tools will minimize stripping of screws. Here's a link to some cheap extractors, it's totally doable.

Yeah, I know that it is similar to M4 in properties, and I already have a PM2 in M4, but it is coated. I wanted something uncoated so I can watch it get a nice patina, so I thought I might add another steel, an exclusive, and a para 3 that I didn't have yet at the same time. And on the subject of mineral oil, I was thinking I could get something like this and fill it with mineral oil to lubricate and protect the action better so that the tang of the blade doesn't start to corrode between the occasional disassembly and cleaning. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B076YZY5ZK/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_glt_fabc_F2H1JW94JY93CTTQ0VQF?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
I use this Tek Power power supply. Green is so difficult. For this gradient, I make my cathode a yeti cup. I used titanium wire attached to my red lead. I put it on 90v, and I dipped them until I got the color I was looking for. I haven’t really tried solid green on anything that large before. I did get a pry bar solid green though. At those higher voltages I tend to run into problems with off color blotches. I don’t know if that’s a limitation of my power supply or my sanding.
Absolutely all valid points and interesting to hear your perspective behind the opinion. I hope you didn’t take it as me telling you you were wrong, but it sounds like we agree outside of preferences. I do appreciate that Spyderco has WAY more designs and tons of exotic steel choices and crazy blade shapes, I was more so referring to the fact that when I buy a Spyderco knife, I more or less know exactly what I am going to get: a compression or backlog, Spydiehole, and unicolor FRN or G10 scales. I own the Manbug K390, Dragonfly 2, Para 3 Maxamet, and PM2 S45VN…all are incredible knives that I love, but if you line them up, it’s like it you were watching a child grow up and had a picture of them every 3 years, same shape style. I would be interested in a Delica, Native, Sage, Tenacious, Manix (you get the idea), but they just seem like they’d be very redundant and wouldn’t excite me, even though they’re excellent knives.
On the other hand, my Benchmades are a Bugout carbon fiber/S90V, Osborne 940-1, regular green Osborne, Mini Grip 556-1 G10/20SV, and Mini Osborne all black. There is tons of variation between those knives in terms of the handle shape/contouring, blade shape, steel, color scheme, pocket clip, and the way the deployment feels.
I do recognize that there are probably people who have 4 Benchmades that are all similar and my opinion is very anecdotal, but at the end of the day they’re all fantastic knives and everyone likes different things.
Oh actually I forgot about my newest Spydie because I got it to keep in my car: the Assist rescue knife , has a glass breaker, whistle, and some awesome functionality that make it a perfect balance rescue tool to keep in the car. The all black version I got is just absolutely filthy and and the level of sharpness it came with should honestly be illegal. THAT is an example of why Spyderco is great imo.
Heres a link for the part if anyone wants to order it, it did require taking the knife all the way apart but that was easy enough https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&url=https://www.amazon.com/Backspacer-Spyderco-Persistence-Green-Glow/dp/B019G1SGCW&ved=2ahUKEwjY2vDava3vAhVEVc0KHQ_yB58QFjAAegQIARAC&usg=AOvVaw2c4MJDt14Z3Yfuwy7YTjTh
I bought these diamond rods on Amazon on sale for like $7 a while ago and just lean them against the flat side of the SM rods. They work fine, but ideally I'd like them to be wider and not have the black plastic edge, it can get in the way. If I were buying more and wanted to keep it cheap, I'd opt for something like this larger double-sided version. I like that there's a different grit on each side, you just would have to find one with the two grits you want. Only requirement is that it's long and flat so you can just position it over the other rod.
Obviously it'd be easier and optimal to just get the SM rods, but as you said, they're pretty damn expensive for a couple of rods and there are endless viable alternatives that will do the job just as well most of the time. I've considered just buying a single rod and doing it one at a time, it's not like you go to town back and forth on diamond rods anyways,
Flytanium Para 3 scales are ON SALE righy now on Amazon !!! https://smile.amazon.com/Flytanium-Para3-Scales-CF/dp/B07L93NG6R/ref=mp_s_a_1_6?dchild=1&keywords=spyderco%2Bpara%2B3%2Bscales&pd_rd_r=2a3b6ac8-78b0-46cd-b2b5-f9b8ae325735&pd_rd_w=glzYi&pd_rd_wg=vMRKH&pf_rd_p=9ab5c07f-ecbc-469e...
For what it’s worth the Amazon reviews for a different set of scales (Tenacious Scales Titanium https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07L93NG6X/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_tai_kRLSEbHQH6CWY) say that you need additional washers to correct. Could be the same thing here.
