There has been some confusion with how the voting for Binance will happen. I apologize for not making it clear and will update the title of the pinned post. In a nut-shell here is what voters need to do:

1. Create an account with the Binance exchange
2. Friday (09/01/2017 18:00 Beijing Time) Binance will Post a link where voters can vote for their favorite coin to be listed (you know what to do here - wink wink)

The Link that Binance posts will be pinned to the r/StratisPlatform subreddit as well as the Stratis Slack. The voting ends 09/04/2017 18:00 Beijing Time

First of all, I think you missed an important fact to disclose: where are you based? There are a lot of exchanges around the world, and some of them a more user friendly (read: deposit-friendly) depending on where are you located.

The second thing is that you can also buy Stratis directly with FIAT. Just need to consult the list of markets on CMC and choose from one of the exchanges that accepts other methods of payment than Bitcoin: https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/stratis/#markets

I've heard of it through some crypto communities in Korea. Koreans are crazy Ethereum fans and Stratis is considered as the next Ethereum. I did some research, and figured not only Koreans but the world is watching Stratis. I bought 20 STRAT at first and now I have 1,000. Though I bought it at very high price that I still didn't recover, but I love Stratis and have faith in it. So no worries!! I'm happy to see how it grows and have more people get to know about it. My favorite Stratis moment hasn't yet to come. Because I haven't earned any Stratis by Staking. But then I ordered Raspberry Pi only for Strat staking, also another new adventure for me, so I'm very excited. Polo is much slower receiving funds than they need to be. I think they expect something like 36 confirmations before they credit you. It should have shown at https://poloniex.com/depositHistory by now tho.

I don't comment on coins I don't know or haven't researched. Stratis is a shit coin, I can confidentially say that.

For what it's worth it XBY is now up 50%, holy shit! since OP posted and he also called stratis at an earlier point then most people could only dream of. Look at his post history. Also xby is being talked about in a lot of different forums in a postive regard. I haven't been able to pull up anything outside of it's in development and it is seemingly moving forward at a relatively fast pace.

i've downloaded the app textmate from here: https://macromates.com after that i copied the text from the "node liste" from 2.0.0.2 from here https://chainz.cryptoid.info/strat/#!network and insert it in a new file and save as stratis.conf into the folder /library/application support/stratis .. open stratis and wait a bit until it get more connections
